Observation I think, deciding to not interfere but simply observe reactions, What's the other two again? I remember glee(Which, no), but what's the other one?

It's CRUELTY/GLEE yes. But as for Observation, I'm sure there's a variety of things we could attribute to it.

Most recent one? Hitomi Parents. Then Argalia/Leonia. Then the Adult. Then etc etc.

X does a lot of observing.

... Oh, then it may be cruelty
As what the parents are doing is actively cruel for their child to not bring help when they desperately needs it.
What does it have to be us? If it does, observation, if it doesn't, then cruelty.

While additional information ahead of time is nice, there's no guarantee that the situation won't change rapidly once inside. No plan survives contact with the enemy and all that. A long-range communication alternative to Kyubey's telepathy would be invaluable for staying coordinated inside and opens up the possibility of having multiple task forces if the need arises.

[X] Communication Plans

Hey, quick question,
Does Kyubey consider Magical Girls who turn into Witches Dead or Alive? Are they still Considered Magical Girls? Are their Contracts considered expired?

Asking because I feel like Kyubey tends to use whatever answer is best for his purposes because of the ambiguity of such a state but since he purportedly always tells the truth, then must actually have a truth he sticks to even when he does his omitting the details and use vague terms schtick.

In order, according to his answers during the show:

-Not sure, see further down for parts of why.

-Definitely not magical girls, he says that *you won't be able to use your magic* to those who know nothing and implies several times that they would die outright to those who knows the lichbomb only (phrased as *you won't be yourself anymore* or something, can't remember), but he never says they will die in reality, high chances witches are seen as alive, but never said outright.

-No, the contract is still there, and in fact, it can even have effects on the witch, Isabeau could still grant wish as a witch, and Kirika was still devoted to Oriko.

Does he ever explicitly say they stop being a Magical Girl though or does he give non-answers on that account?

*Cease to be able to use your magic as you want it* and, I have to correct myself there, *your soul gem will break* for telling them they will die (this is true, the soul gem does break during the transformation into a grief seed), however, he does explicitly call the witches and magical girls as two different types of beings, one born of hope (the wish) and one born of curses (he just doesn't say whose curses).

So he never spells it out, he just heavily implies one way or another, naming symptoms or description that would suggest a certain answer, using the implied answer to invoke the desired response (wishing, and despair)

Whenever I read the words "Big Bird", my mind instantly jumps to the character from Elmo's Street, and the cognitive dissonance is incredibly disconcerting.
I know how you feel. I'm usually pretty bad at recognizing seiyuus, but whenever Kyubey's voice is mentioned, I try to imagine how he sounds and inevitably end up with Kagami from Lucky Star. It doesn't help that they both have twintails.

Today's chapter will likely be late, due to the presence of both Hokma and Binah having ~philosophical conversation~. Then again, maybe not. We'll see what I can get through.

I have yet to see that.
Ok, so, been doing a reread to find the scene I was remembering when I mentioned the Lobotomy thing. Along the way I wrote down the chapters where a abnormalities conditions was fulfilled + when the abnormality was acquired. So far I've got all of Blue Star's conditions noted with a bit of ambiguity on which of the latter 2 conditions are being fulfilled.

Blue Star 1.1.10 chapter 12- DEVOTION/ACCEPTANCE/TOGETHERNESS
ch 13: Exposition Dump 2: Electric Boogaloo - ACCEPTANCE condition fulfilled.
ch 20: Weight of Years - condition fulfilled
ch 28: Lobotomy - condition fulfilled

Chapter 28 in particular is the one I was thinking of. Feel free to review those chapters if if you want to analyze how conditions are fulfilled.
