Thinking it through again...Do you think any of the patron librarians can go with us too if you are working on that logic?

Or the assistants? Or the magical girls?

Are we really depending on the Head not being anal about a ruling as a reason here?

The patron librarians, librarians and magical girls all are stuck in the library by the fact their bodies are made of light and can't get out.

We were explicitly told we could go to the city ourself, and there is no rule lawyering involved, we are associated with the library but not known as such, and we are not identifiable as a patron librarian as easily due to being an abnormality.

Lepi said we could search answers in the city, I see no reason to think it was a trap option at the time, nor any reasons to think this fact changed since then.

It's not so much that X thinks Kyoko is stronger than her as she thinks the girl needs a confidence boost right about now.

She didn't say it out loud though, just thought it, and X does have an impostor syndrome, that much is true.

Edit:

To expand on the *Not a trap option* thing I said:

When we got the vote, we rejected it on the basis of not wanting anything to do with the wings and not wanting to get into the city's drama, which is a logical conclusion to infer from the fact that the options were given in the first place, what would be a trap option would have been us deciding to go see the wings or searching in the city only to get a *ha ha! You get ganked by arbiters as soon as you enter the city, they kill you because you're a librarian and entered*, which is not a reasonable thing to infer due to the fact that the option to enter the city was given to us in the first place.

The easy way to explain that is simply to see that the Head specifically banished the library from the city, meaning that Angela definitely cannot return, but the librarians probably could if she finds a way to set them free of the library (except for Binah, she would probably get ganked), meaning that as a patron librarian able to leave the library, we can enter without any problems.

She was the most awake of the collection, and referenced events from when NT was masquerading as her, I think she knows, since we discussed it with NT on our first meeting.

Can we just give Kyoko a break?

There are no breaks on this train!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But really, the witch discussion is probably way less stressful to her than the explanation on her physiology/psychology. May even help her feeling less of a horrible fuck up if she manage to give us a good idea on how to approach this.

Witch Profile: Angelina
Witch Profile: Angelina

The Witch of Advent, with an Amorous nature. Her Barrier is a place of healing where people can be cleansed of their sins. She searches for those whose Souls are bared, yearning for the Salvation that never found her in life.

Uriels, whose role is to reveal sins. Any caught within the light they shed will be given a chance to confront the darkness within them. Each night in the Barrier, they burn the jungle down and wait for it to regrow.

Azraels, whose role is to purge sins. Their arrows unmake corruption and impurity where they strike. These Familiars are sedentary, and remain perched within the Barrier's second layer until they are called out to purge what their compatriots have brought to light.

———————————————

Angelina, Persephone, and a third Witch that has not yet appeared were all originally intended as possible protagonists for a Witch Quest, but the idea was scrapped because I couldn't decide how the story would move forwards.

Ok, cards on the table there, how close to your idea was I with my description of her possible backstory right after the Chapter?

Because that description really makes me think I was pretty close.

Hey, While discussing Mami might cheer Kyouko up because of how she's made that her reason for living to cope with with what she thinks about herself, How are we going to address her issues? Specifically, how she believes she's at fault for her family dying and thinks that she herself causes harm to those around her?

Like, I'm under the impression that it was the fault of Kyubey and her Father and she was honestly too young to really know better about what was going on, but I'm not sure how to go about convincing Kyouko of that, let alone accepting it and letting go.

I guess she would have to see and accept that her life and presence is helpful to those around her, and makes them happy and also be able to see that blaming herself for making a ill-thought wish when she was young is wrong, probably by showing some of the people kyubey has targeted and how young and naive these kids are, and how she's not an exception, and how kids should be naive at that age, a jaded kid is a failure on the world's part.

So...maybe we gotta have her talk with a bunch of kids...maybe other magical girls so she can see enough stories play out to know that she wasn't special in being manipulated or making bad decisions it's just how kyubey chooses people and how the manipulation goes. And that her dad, an adult, should have shown maturity and accepted her and try to deal with the problem. But we know Kyubey probably would have erased memories then to 'maintain the masquerade' and didn't when he went crazy in the hopes of causing Kyouko to grief spiral...So pin it on Kyubey again, ain't Kyouko's fault that Kyubey is an emotionless piece of amoral evil.

So...Maybe Kyouko should hangout with however many other disembodied magical girls, I'm sure only good things will come of this :V

I don't think letting Kyoko hang around them is a good idea.

The better idea would be to once again "Throw Yuma at the problem"...

Or tell Kyoko to get to know all of the Patron Librarians...though that way lies the "AYIN SHOCK THERAPY" method.

Not a bad idea. Though the question comes in the form of whether Kyubey would be actively antagonizing to this option.

Hes cool with us so far. But moving to reveal MG energy production in such a way might piss off the ferret enough for him to worsen things.

I don't think it would be too outlandish for at least one adult magical girl, in Japan, to have gone into psychology. The gacha game has at least one puella that's in her mid-late twenties iirc. The trouble would be finding this hypothetical lady. On the other hand, Angela has a whole super cool library. Perhaps she could put together a mental health team from the kids? Surely this is plaid! :V

Edit: my phone turned plausible into plaid. I'm leaving it because I find it funny.

That's what I said. We got the option of going to Angela for therapy and all.

Sure, X might feel bad shes relying so much on her sister, but the Ayin's family special Shock Therapy hasn't failed yet so far!
