Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

That way she can don't get any ideas fighting the demons directly when she's older.
Developing weapons as a career would be a safer back line

I somehow doubt she would go for that.
Besides, the girl is nine. In the best case, we can just send her to school in a bit and hope for that to keep her busy long enough. If she awakens as a Magical Girl, we lost in that regard anyway.
And we are kind of planning to at least give her magic.

Quick question... what time is it?
Cerys slept through the afternoon and night of Thursday, woke up Friday afternoon and then the three girls made a long trip back to England.

So my guess ist that it is either the evening, or already night.
Either way, I noted the date as Saturday in the Intel for now.

It doesn't take long for her to grasp your meaning, her eyes flicking to the sword that rests comfortably atop the table next to you. She looks down at her hands, narrowing her eyes for a moment as you feel her magic spike. A soft orange glow starts around then, growing sharper as she clenches her fists. She slowly runs a finger across the tabletop, her magic parting the metal with barely even a hint of resistance. She lets out a slightly hysterical laugh, drawing her hands back and hugging herself. You stay silent as she stares at the clean cut she had drawn down the table, her hands clenching and unclenching against her ribs as she thinks.

Eventually, she looks up, a sense of finality in her words. "You fight things like that?" You nod and she smiles slowly, it is not a nice smile. "Teach me."

You smile back.

This is a problem. We don't want her to be so adement in fighting. One of the things we need to teach her is discipline and professionalism. Such an eagerness to fight can lead to her disobeying orders, and that can have very bad consequences. I mean, I don't know if we have that ourselves, but...

As for the masquerade, I say we wait a while and check the news and posts around the web to make sure that people aren't adding it all up. Until the doctor that studied magic reveals his studies, It's not worth it. We don't want to cause panic at such an early stage.

When the doctor reveals his plans, then we suggest the clocktower to do it.

It is some time around midday.

It is currently half way through 2000.
Browsing the web is a possibility, but Cerys has never used a computer before.

Uhh...
I probably should have been more awake when I answered that.
This is the same day as the chapter before it, so it's actually in the afternoon, my bad.

That should not change anything, though. It was Thursday when Cerys returned and we had daylight while on the flight, so for it to be the afternoon...
Or did she only sleep two to three hours before waking up again? It would then be Thursday still...

Or those rolls could be about how well magic is staying a secret, :V
100 for the people working to keep it secret, and 100 for the people looking discover it.

All wrong, actually. Both of those rolls were for other factions.
Coincidentally, two factions currently fighting each other.

And last I heard, Rukia has no idea how to portray that both sides rolled crits.

maybe both sides whip out their trump cards with both being wildly successful, but ultimately stalemating each other. With the end result being a draw with both sides receiving large and roughly proportionately equal boosts.

They both critted so they should get some big boost, but they also tied so they should both get a stalemate. So just have the big boosts sort of stalemate each other.

Power Clash! [Faction 1] vs [Faction 2]! who will win? find out next episode on: The Fire That Burns!

Lets just say that the UL and the UD really fucked up the planet they were fighting over.
Neither of them are going to be doing much of anything for a long while.
