Made some changes to the plan. Added a Quartok action to the diplomacy section, I've moved out spying on Gork and Mork with the intent of doing it next turn, and I changed our Spend Time With actions to include Jacob and Syr, excluding Sigurd as a result.

It seems you left a DD off one of the Fanning the Flames, is this intentional?

Would rather do it now so we have time to use any info if possible

Problem with that is that if we fail it would have consequences and for all we know it may lead to them waking up early or targeting Avernus directly. Thinking it might be best to put that off at least a few years to get more things done and to get more information.

@Enjou As I said before I think it would be a huge mistake to constantly send Xavier into battle since Durin himself warned us before about doing something like that makes it far more likely for major characters to die and he got injured enough that he got taken out with just a low roll. So as a suggestion think you might want to cut back on them a bit.

I would really like for Jane to do at least one psyker hunt this turn since it will work towards upgrading her master psyker trait rather than merely keeping it and psykers are becoming more and more dangerous so I would like Jane to limit the damage they do.

I am still not sure wether Jane needs a Hunt action or not but your plan has everything else I would have put in it.

Another point would be if to put the year 5 DD on the Quartoks (to balace out the -20 the action get because of history) because Ridcully already gets a 105 bonus. Balancing the chance of a crit vs the chance to succed.
Diplomatic Relations (Quartok)- A major reason why diplomatic offices exist is to keep relations strong between allies. Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan suggests spending some time and effort trying to improve Avernus' standing with the other leaders of the Nine Worlds.

Time: 1 year
Chance of Success: 30% (-2 for every point of opinion, each success reduces chance of success by 5%, this recovers at a rate of one per two years)

Cost: 6,100,000 Thrones.
Reward: +1 opinion with chosen planet.

Complete
year two d100=65+15(diplomacy)-25(Quartok)-12(relations)=43: Fail
year two re-roll d100=36+15(diplomacy)-25(Quartok)-12(relations)+15(Paragon Diviner)=29: Fail

Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan spent a year working on trying to strengthen ties between Avernus and the Quartok. Despite some advice from High Grandmaster Ridcully he failed to have an appreciable effect, the prejudice being to strong on both sides of the issue.
The Quartok malus makes it really hard without a DD...

A few questions about the psyker action Honing an Edge and general psyker odds
  1. If Ridcully took it before either the Spying on Gods or Fanning the Flames actions, would it provide any bonus? If so, how much?
  2. If Xavier took it, would it provide a flat +10 to his d100 Deploy roll, or would it give him +10 to his something like 1000 effective combat skill?
  3. Can you give us a rough estimate of the odds of Xavier dying per year deployed? Like, are we talking .1%, 1%, 5%, or 10%?
  4. Would the Spying on Gods likely synergize with the Waaagh frequency research?

Geralds Rest
Omake - Geralds Rest

He had been stabbed, hacked, pierced with shrapnel, shot, blown up, set on fire, and had a Tank attempt to run him over during the last campaign. Somehow he had survived all of that with only extreme blood loss, holes in his torso, and his ears ringing from the carnage. Most of the wounds were thankfully treated by the medics and poor Ophelia was kept in the dark and only allowed to know when her blood pressure had stabilized. She was obviously worried greatly and immediately offered relief but Zhukov denied her citing experience issues. It would after all be him who would take my place in front of the battle psykers and not his walking WMD threat of a daughter.

Back home reactions were what he thought they would be from a letter from the Governor personally thanking him for his service to the Campaign. Saint Lin himself even visited him in his home as he visited many of the Veterans. So many well wishes and visits from so many people and it was nice. It was 'nice' thought Gerald as he rummaged through the memories of those who took time off there day to go and see him or those would want to write to him.

Tamia in her own special way showed her affection by yelling at him for 'reckless' actions and 'illogical' tactical decisions.

'I hate you so much!' she said with a heart full of hurt and despair 'why do you do this?' she continued. Her eyes were red and tears penetrated her normally refined face. It's how I know that deep down she loves me more than she's willing to know or knows herself...Well that or i'm some kind of freak.

On a particular day though Gerald would truly confront his wife about her real thoughts of him.

IIRC Durin asked to not use Ordered List feature when asking him and number questions manually instead. It doesn't show right on his device or something like that.

With all the combat multiplers we have what is our average causality to kill ratio and how does that compare to what we had when we first started? It just occurred to me as a way to look at our progress as we have increased our militarys power and especially that of our elite Avernite infantry.

1. no
2. +10 to 1000
3. depends on several rolls but 1% to 5%, I will mention that he has a higher chance of getting new traits when deployed
4. yes

Well, that's a pretty good reason to do spying now then, so I'll add it back in.
Wouldn't it be safer to research the WAAAGH! frequency first so that Ridcully's chance of spying on Gork and Mork can be optimized? This sounds dangerous even with the Double Down and preparations. We could do a refining action for the WAAAGH! frequency after the boosted Spying On Gods succeeds.

@Durin will a refining anti-WAAAGH! frequency action be made available if we do the frequency research before the Spying on Gods?

I don't know. Maybe I misinterpreted @Durin's statement because I'm tired but can't get to sleep, but I took it to mean doing them at the same time gave synergy. He can correct me if I'm wrong.

I would prefer spying sooner rather than later if possible since the new information could change our entire strategy for dealing with the super orks since we only have a vague idea of what form they are going to take.
