Hows about we don't do the thing that damages our (current) primary instrument of beat downs?
Hamon would probably alleviate the damage eventually, but the key word there is eventually.

In practical/realistic terms, though, as it stands now you already Hamon frequently enough to repair the lung damage you sustain from smoking (in large part because you only smoke occasionally and not that heavily, meaning that there's less damage to fix and less time for it to build up).
For what it's worth, Mizore hasn't seen fit to comment on it yet.
