We might need to impress on Corlys the importance of not letting Laena marry Daemon.
This seems to be going about it completely backwards to me with what we know of Laena from our meeting with her just now. I doubt that she will take kindly to being forced to not do what she wants to. No, we need to convince Laena that Daemon isn't what she wants in the first place.

[X] Ask Laena to Stay in King's Landing a while longer

[X] Say Your Goodbyes and Return to King's Landing

I like her but we have a LOT on our plate at the moment so I fear we'll either let something else slide or risk offending her by asking her to stay and then ignoring her

Yeah, you are right. That said souring her opinion on the man is one of our top priorities while talking with her. Maybe we can take her on a hunt with Rhea Royce ?

That said this might take a while, we have our next 2-3 turns already full, no ?

Asking her to stay and then doing absolutely nothing with her for half a year (worse, sailing off to Dragonstone for half of that) sounds like a good way to waste the opportunity. That said, if we do fit her in next, it's gonna leave absolutely no room for anything else without dropping something significant.

Otto/Isembard/Laena/(Alys or Otto again) for Conversations
RTA/Dragonstone for Actions

Thankfully, we have a pretty long deadline for interacting with best guy Qoren again...

Maybe we can take her on a hunt with Rhea Royce ?
We don't know if Rhea's location is close enough to be invited hunting. The last time her location was mentioned is in Interlude : Arrival when she arrived together with us in King's Landing and It's been 3/4 year since then.

you felt certain that Qoren and your relationship would deteriorate to the thinly veiled disdain that Daemon and Rhea felt for each other.
I think there is a typo here. It probably should read "your relationship wouldn't deteriorate"

sailing off to Dragonstone for half of that
If we could invite Laena to Dragonstone we would interact with her next turn and also help in AP hell as I think we still lack one action and one convo in T17 the Dragonstone turn (Alicent/Poet/Music/(Qoren if we invite him)) so we can fit her in.

One of problem in inviting Laena is whether she fit in a trip that Rhaenyra firstly conceptualize as Romantic get away with Alicent. A trip that already in a bend if we include Qoren.

We could do next turn:
Conversations: Isembard/Laena
Actions: RTA/ Dragonstone

And then in dragonstone we converse with Alicent about on how to game-plan a conversation about our arrangement to Otto ?

Or we invite Laena to dragonstone ?

Or we can have the conversation with Isembard when we come back from Dragonstone ?

So:
Otto/Laena
Actions: RTA/Dragonstone
?

I mean if the guy already waited this much how half a year is going to impact it ?

Context matters, though. Qoren's arrival was very visible and an obviously Big Deal, and our father is about to announce a betrothal, which gives us a great excuse of having spent this time dealing with the Dornish delegation. But after this, Qoren is very likely going to go back to Sunspear (only so much time he can afford to spend away from his own kingdom as a relatively new Prince), and we run out of visible indications of the deep AP hell we're in.

Been speaking with TS and Qoren is definitely going to stick around one more turn since he had not arranged for an earlier departure. So, we still have time to interact with him.

Huh, did he roll really well somewhere, did our easy acceptance speed up the process, or were the negotiations always going to be shorter than he had expected? Just curious.

As far as I know, background rolls were fairly smooth and no major changes were asked for by Rhaenyra. Fucking over the Peakes was the biggest ask we had and that went perfectly too, so...

For next turn, my preference would be:

- Isembard
- Qoren
- Otto
- Laena
- RTA
- either going to the city during Daemon's festivities or preparing that Dragonstone vacation

The "let's hope Rhaenyra is so busy she forgets she's on the clock to do something about Viserys" plan (honestly don't mind that, half-measures would probably do more harm than good on second thought)
Unless you do mean speaking to Otto about Mellos, rather than about Alicent...

I'd prefer to speak with Otto about the RTA, our betrothal and generally improve our standing again. We pretty much need to butter him up one way or another before we can spring either of these topics on him.

Ok this seems good...

Then for the next turn, we have pretty much locked in
  • Azel's Tolling Royal Agency Write in
  • Talking with Gwayne so that is help us with dealing with Otto
  • Talking with Otto either about Alicent or about Viserys Health.
And we have another 3 actions, so what should we pick here (unfortunately, we can't do all of them)? My top options are in no particular order
  • [...]
  • Speak with Isembard Arryn, well we have to speak to him eventually, like we did with Steffon Redfort...
If we are going to do Azel's TRA write-in Next turn, I'd recommend talking with Isembard Arryn as well.

Isembard basically has indirect control of Gulltown at this point and more importantly he has direct control over its merchants.

The important harbours of Westeros are mostly King's Landing, Driftmark, Oldtown, Dragonstone, Gulltown, White Harbour, Lannisport, Maidenpool, Weeping Town and Plankey Town

King's Landing, Dragonstone and Planky Town are already guaranteed partners in all of this, but that's not enough, because Driftmark and Oldtwon are are not.

Normally we'd have to convince the Sea Snake and Otto personally, so that these 5 harbours would build the foundation of this system and convince others to partake through it's sheer momentum.

But if we get Isembard to agree to it, if we extend the hypothetical trade network to Gulltown, we'd have 5 major ports, King's Landing, Dragonstone, Plankey Town, Gulltown and White Harbour. The Manderlys are public allies of Rhenyra, so they would of course join in on the action, but they couldn't, because their so far removed.

But if we struck a deal with Isembard, Gulltown's inclusion would make White Harbour a possibility.

Unless the dice ready fuck us over with a Nat1 or something, a proposal concerning the tolls of the Stepstones, brought forward by a power block made up of 5 of Westeros' Major ports, all of whome are on the eastern side of the continent, would have enough momentum, that Otto and Coryls would be forced to support it without being able to demand any huge concessions in return

Also, we let him wait for a really long time, but if we talk with him next turn, this wait will probably not be taken as an insult, but as a necessity of the marriage negotiations. If we don't take the opportunity to talk to him now though, it will be seen as an insult.

Ultimately the founding locales of the RTA are limited by whom we have present in KL to work things out. King's Landing is obviously in, and so are Planky Town and Driftmark as long as Qoren and Rhaenys are present for the negotiations. Gulltown and Oldtown depend on us getting Isembard and Otto on board, which is somewhat harder than the first two since unlike Dorne and Corlys, they don't get toll revenues, just the trade advantages.

Though we could deal Lannisport in if we wanted to.

Weeping Town, Whiteharbor, Pyke, Seaguard and whatever town Teenspirit decrees to be the important eastern harbor of the Riverlands would need us to travel or send envoys.

I very much disagree, we are in AP hell, especially with Viserys' Disease and Alicent's Romance, and if we are not asking about Alicent or our Dad's treatment, then we should talk with someone else...
If we are going to do Azel's TRA write-in Next turn, I'd recommend talking with Isembard Arryn as well.
It would probably help, but with so many important things to do, I wouldn't bother at all with him next turn... Azel's plan is cool but I wouldn't bother to put more than a single action on it...

My preferences for the next turn would be

- Alicent and Gwayne (or only Gwayne): We need to butter up Otto for Alicent's romance, so get the siblings on the same page is useful.
- Otto: Both our Dad's treatment and our relationship with Alicent are quite urgent (I personally prefer to go for our dad's treatment ASAP, give a chance to Orwyle to do his thing)
- Lyonel Strong: It fulfills our duties with him as a mentors (so we won't need to take any Law action in our relaxation turn), we can use the chance to get him on the same page regarding Viserys' treatment, and since we are thinking on poaching Alyss, it is polite to ask for his permission firts...
- RTA: A good idea, and if we can put it in place with an action we should try to do so
- Prepare for a Trip to Dragonstone: Ideally, we can bring Laena and/or Qooren with us we need a turn to bring down the stress
- Sneak away to the city/Travel to Harrenhal... Well, it is going to be quite a unique opportunity to snack away during our dear Uncle's Triumph, and if going to see Alyss to both make sense of our Dragon Dream and to try to get her help with dealing with dad's disease/curse is a good idea...

@Teen Spirit, just to know if next turn we pick [] [Action] Prepare for a Trip to Dragonstone can we invite Qooren and/or Laena?

I don't really see how talking to Gwayne would help with Otto. He made his pitch and if he doesn't support us already, there's nothing that another talk can achieve.

Likewise, I do not see the point of talking to Alicent. About what exactly? If we actually go to Dragonstone the following turn, we can have private chats then.

Well, the main reason why I want to talk with Gwayne is because of the description of his conversation this past turn... Especially the part about "He could prove a valuable ally still and the three of you might be able to figure out a way to ensure Alicent never has to leave your side."
[] [Conversation] Speak with Gwayne And Alicent
Unless things with Prince Qoren don't work out, the odds of you ever marrying Gwayne were very remote now. That didn't mean it was pointless talking to Alicent's brother. Far from it in fact. He could prove a valuable ally still and the three of you might be able to figure out a way to ensure Alicent never has to leave your side.
And I am not especially interested in talking with Alicent next turn, but since it seems we can only talk with both of the siblings about the matter at hand, well, I am just rolling with it...

Look Alicent said that there is some disagreement about her Father and her uncle ( I have to check if it's her Martenal uncle (Florent) or paternal) maybe, it's there some issue Nyra can help with? And possibly help in Alicent romance issue to butter up Otto.
