I'm hoping that refurbishing the ship is going to help us get our own dreadnaughts. Also - if there are any more turns we need to wait before hitting the all-XV button, then we spend them repairing the dreadnaught.

Guess the mystery box abhuman species is too much of a draw?

We *are* in the endgame. We really need to boost our military for the final boss (Tyranid Hivefleet).

@HeroCooky

Any hint at what the Dreadnought would have?

As I see it these are the in character Federation choices. Remember how we sunk a whole lot of actions to bring a whole planetary population horrifically traumatized by Orks from the brink?

It would be another thing if the Federation was under (known) threat, but it is not as far as I know.

...Did you miss the whole "Prophecy of the Starchild" thing about Federation threatening enemies that will be encroaching?

*The Federation knows that there's a enemy that is powerful enough to be potentially capable of destroying the Federation*

The threat that the Starchild warned the Federation about is still out there and approaching. And the Federation *knows that they only defeated one of the potentially Federation ending threat*.

Good point.

To be more clear, I meant current or imminent threat. Because otherwise ever since the prophecy and arguably ever since the quest start given the state of the galaxy, going full pragmatic could be justified, and clearly Federation has chosen otherwise.

It's not like civilian bonuses don't make the Federation stronger in war anyway.
