Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Could be fun yes, but I thought we decided to mostly avoid the empire building angle in this quest? So like, this would be a lot of off screen stuff for GM to do and not a lot of interaction for us?
We won't manage it. That would be the current government. We are just a supported and guarantor of their democratic process. All we need is some tech patanted and factories build where we won't take a single cent of proft, literally free jobs with massive pay to people.

You can do incredible good with a lot of money if you stop giving a fuck about profit.

[X] Why kill them when I can cure them, I refuse to believe that most of them want to work for the Red Court knowing what they are (Use FSB)

I'm not against the idea of taking over a gov to free it of Red influence. Something like that is probably going to have to happen sooner or later but right now doesn't really seem like the time.

Imma be honest, I was really confused until I went back and read the edited last chapter.

Personally I don't care about killing infected/bribed politicians but also like, Molly is less jaded about humans than I am so she would probably go with the deals thing?
Agreed.. but this could get complicated.

I'm pretty sure Molly would prefer to cure those people rather than kill them, though that isn't really anything more than a very temporary band-aid solution.

Personally, I would prefer to kill them all, but that seems OOC, IMO.

Anyone got a better idea between those two extremes?

I am dreading more entanglements, but just killing them all leads to fomori taking over - we saw this in canon, basically.

EDIT: Also, Maggie is right, actually. We do a lot of "spy" stuff.

[X] Cure who I can among those addicted to Red Court saliva, offer safety to those who have been threatened into complying, and kill anyone who is a willing conspirator.

Let's remember that Martin is canonically a hard man making hard decisions, while used to operating with very limited means. His advice is valuable about the situation we will be having, but that does not mean his offered solution is best for someone with our means.

I'm also not seeing how the killing option will automatically result in us ending up in power over Columbia. Or, conversely, how not killing might not lead to us getting a lot of influnce instead. Depending on the plan.

It would take IDU, I think, to cure them. FSB is a temporary fix, and one that requires constant reapplications. Which is why I don't really like it.
...

Actually, just "make a new vampire court to replace the Red one" is a fun solution. As a reminder, we can straight up make WoD vampires. 14th generation only, but we can.

[X] Plan: Sight Beyond Sight
-[X] Use the crown on an assembled dossier on Augustin. "Who else is a willing collaborator with the red Court in the Colombian government?"
-[X] Use the crown on a photo of the administrative Capitol buildings in Bolivar Square. "Who in the Colombian government is addicted to Red Venom?"
--[X] Why not both? If they appear on first list expand the plan to cover them. If they appear in the second list subvert them with FSB. Cut the Reds off at the knees.

You guys know me. My entire schtick is subverting the powers of the world rather than fighting them and, even if a being... human or not... is undeniably wicked I would still rather bring them into the fold. If they serve their bat-person masters willingly for selfish reasons, well, even then we can feed selfish desires better while at least having the decency to put a velvet glove over a fist of brass.

If I could remove the heads of the top bats and functionally vassalize the rest I'd do that. I am not scared of having ill things in our service, not when we have made friends with worse.

It's good enough for now until we either use IDU or get the maggot charm.

FSB is a great gateway drug.

How does the vote to cure people account for those who are just corrupt assholes?
We have more money. We slap them with gold bars until they die or give in.

If they are suspectable to blackmail or bribery then they are suspectable to Molly. We can look into their Naked Wicked Souls.
