Well, hopefully this ends up being nice for us in the epilogue slide, I'll admit it's a big deal, I just think it might be overblown if it doesn't have a lot of room to grow in.

I mean, our Fourth Generation Strike Craft have likely finally hit parity with the ones used by the Elder Races at this point, or at least in striking distance.

I'd be unsurprised if they'd be considered viable even in the Dark Age, if not necessarily the peak level shit. We matched Imperial Standard by 2nd gen, surpassed it with 3rd, 4th gen required some serious shit to open up apparently. Fifth Gen would probably depend on getting enough Dark Space Elf samples to integrate their nonsense in too, or some major breakthrough elsewhere.

And even then, our doctrine and our support for our Strikecraft probably helps close that gap too.

The Sibling Void Automata are incredibly disgusting in terms of dogfights and they don't cost any more to keep in the hangars — it's insane. I'm not sure what's going to hit the Limit of Questions first — our missile salvos from the Lepus or the Virgo Fighter Deathball

308.M43 - The New 4th Generation
As the Bountiful Decade, so called due to its many technological breakthroughs, slips into the past, so too does another thing begin to end; the creation of the new 4th Generation of the Glimmering Federation's strike craft fleet.

From the workhorse fighters, to the deadly interceptors, over the humble boarding vessels, ending in the mighty bombers, all four categories of strike craft require updates to all their systems, the march of time prying open the lid of what is now feasible to be installed from an economic point of view, and what is sound to be used from the military's perspective.

Thanks to Small Scale Gravity Negation, all strike craft can now accomplish feats of maneuvering that were previously the exclusive domain of N'Nonmitons, who themselves have elevated the unlocked potential from art to science and art once more.

With the power of plasma slowly cracked and safely contained, alongside the Infused Missiles being churned out in the many manufacturies of the Federation hitting the depots and arsenals of the navy and army, with more than a few updates to cognition noosphere-interlinking and augmentations that allow Thules to better resist gravity, endure long-term missions, strategize and enact plans on a tactical and strategic level, in addition to the Siblings now joining their sides against the darkness of the galaxy, there is no shortage of designs that have been created, discarded, revived, iterated upon, and given up for evaluation.

And these four were chosen:
(6-Hour Moratorium)
[][Fighter] (Write-In)
A Workhorse combat design, no less than two Thules, will operate alongside one Sibling.
[][Interceptor] (Write-In)
The specialist void-superiority design, no more than three Thules. Will operate alongside two Siblings.
[][Boarder] (Write-In)
The boarding team express. No more than two Thules. Will not operate alongside Siblings.
[][Bomber] (Write-In)
The fist of all carriers. No less than five Thules. Will operate alongside two Siblings.

AN: This vote is both to make new designs, but also leans more on Fluff/Lore than Hard Numbers. It is late, so Night!

Have we done Star Phenomena yet? like Flares or Novas?
We have not done that yet. For easier reference here's our strikecraft name list:

Kind of want to shitpost a Macross Variable Fighter since it's unironically a really good mech/jet combo since it can operate in some many environments and situations. Also they love their MMMs (Macross Missile Massacres) which fits our similar daka love of missiles lol. Only issue is the mecha mode feels like it's not exactly to our tech focus since we've not really chosen the non-titan mecha options.

These could be helpfull:
indeed, an action for two of these songs would be worth it in my view.

Ohhhh that one might be worth it. easier rides on the warp is always good for us.

They are backwater hicks compared to the Imperium Proper. Might I remind you that the Ghoul Stars are literally a jaunt to your Galactic North-East?
.... Oh hang on. Checks ship sizes okay, so the BattleColonies at that point would be 7.5 km which is starting to go into the upper limits of Grand Cruisers and given Grand Cruiser is above Heavy Cruiser along with just how insane it is for the Battleships.... it was either their own classification and never having a battleship that lead to it saying anything bigger then a heavy cruiser is a battleship or records confuse Grand Cruiser with Battleship or Grand Cruiser being a lost in between step that everyone forgot about or just didn't produce.

Still I wonder how the Dutchy will react to the 28km monsters we have and if it makes them try to build their own.

Ah, thanks for saying that! I am still underway, so if someone wants to collect all un-rolled Psykana and roll the D100s for me, I'd be much oblidged!
Oh boy, was worried about that being the case but oh well. I'll leave it to something else to do but wonder how that's going to effect things considering the rolls.

1. Above average. It'd be cancer. As for the mines, imagine these three scenarios;
A. Battle - You better think fast, chucklenuts, because there's a minefield coming at you, and it is replenishing endlessly.
B. Pursuit - You better hope your pilot is worth their pay, 'cause these mines be seekin' booty, and, oh, your cheeks be clappin'!
C. Attacking After They Had Time To Prepare - Cancer. Raw. Even Nurgle doesn't like that one.
2. Your Scouts already do that. If you want some narrative focus on a specific region, that'd be a Free Write-In. If you want a conquest, use the Campaign/s Action.
3. Cancer. Uncooked. Inedible, even.
1. makes sense, it didn't much DP into it considering its sheer size and DP pool I'm guessing over excessive would be 50 DP worth of them? and how is cancer? As for the minelaying... fair enough, didn't think for the mine layer to be used as active projectile attacks while in combat and laying them while fleeing would trouble the enemy following them. and with 14 mine laying equipment's and being 28km size? yah it would be a dense minefield out of nowhere.
2. Oh right, well next update turn I'll write out a free action to get information and that hopefully gets people's attention and convince them to expand more. Might get people to spend a action on conquest.
3. hahahaha whaat? how are they uncooked and inedible? those Thunderous Declaration-Class Scout Destroyer and Resurgence Mk.3-Class Torpedo Hunter Are that bullshit? or just the Thunderous Declaration due to only having Kopesh launchers and being a stealth ship on top of that?

You know, we ARE on good relations with the dutchy now, after normalizing the relations we COULD ask to join in dark Eldar Pirate hunting for more tech. We'd be punting the Dark Eldar as a loot pinta and we would have the force to good at them, I'd suggest a battleship to support just in case something goes off the rails.

As good a name as any for the tech boom turn with how much was in it. How long did the 3rd gen strikecraft last? All those tech advancements and especially the Void Sibling Automata would need to find a way to have this stuff integrated and planned from the get go to have these as the basis or core of the strikecraft.

Thanks to Small Scale Gravity Negation, all strike craft can now accomplish feats of maneuvering that were previously the exclusive domain of N'Nonmitons, who themselves have elevated the unlocked potential from art to science and art once more.

Oh shit right, that IS a big advancement that would need a new strikecraft made to make full use of it and it allowing maneuvering of that of the N'Nonmitons normally is.... big. With the Infused Missiles letting them packing even more of a punch on top of this agility and the cognition Noosphere and the Silbings ohhhh boy this strikecraft are very different and more lethal then before. We WILL make Carriers the Meta.

Oh? no custom ones or experimental to do? just sticking to Fighter, interceptor, Boarders and Bomber? and wow low number of siblings given they were suppose to 'herd' enemies to the Thules or assigned Killzones I thought it would be two minimum for most of them. so Fighters need at least a Pilot and either a co-pilot or WSO, with maybe a silbings handler or something and operates with one sibling. Maybe the Fighter just with Pilot, WSO, and something else?

Interceptor really feels like Pilot and either comms/wso or managing the siblings and targetings. makes more sense for the Interceptor to have more Siblings.

Boarder.... no surprise there and just depends on how we want to deploy boarders, no siblings makes sense but surprised all the same.

Bomber.... damn only two Siblings as escorts? fair enough and lets please not go max armor again for this? Five thules... quite a lot but with what we have it should be fun to toy with and see what designs we can make.

I kinda hope we can mar the new ships after some of the cadets who sacrificed themselves. I think it would be a good tribute.

[ ] Plan: The Gravity Generation
-[][Fighter] Cepheid-class Strike Fighter
--[ ] The Cepheid-class Strike Fighter is an all-rounder craft making full use of the technologies developed in recent years to create what may be the finest and most well-balanced fighter craft in the galaxy today, capable of contesting even the works of the Elder Species that still lurk in the distance. The Cepheid-class makes use of a single Superheavy Sibling-class Void Automata, controlled by one of its Thule compliment as a dedicated support weapon, capable of emitting an omnidirectional Power Field in short bursts--either to be deployed to intercept incoming fire, or to be used as an all-purpose wrecking ball against external voidship armaments--and in the case of particularly clever crews, other strike craft. It can be equipped with a variety of primary armaments, but favors a long range plasma-pulse cannon renowned for its accuracy and relative projectile speed, with a number of potent close-in laser batteries able to intercept incoming guided weapons or other strike craft handled by the ship's Weapons Officer. For specific missions, it can be fitted with up to four missile pods, able to deploy any form of munition available to the Federation's shipwrights, and configured accordingly based on intended role. Its relatively aerodynamic structure (For a voidcraft) and superb gravity manipulation techniques also allow it to be deployed in atmospheric combat with no loss in manueverability or combat effectiveness, making it a phenomenal all-purpose strike craft.
-[][Interceptor] (Write-In)
--[ ] The Pulsar-class Void Superiority Fighter, on the other hand, is intended for the purpose of achieving Void Space Superiority, a craft as fast as possible, with the most accurate and destructive armament achievable, at the lowest weight imaginable, and damned the cost. This Interceptor is intended for experienced Thules, as many of the greatest challenges and the greatest responsibilities of a small craft wing is to prevent the enemy from harming those under your protection. To that end, it has an extremely overbuilt single engine thruster that the rest of the hull is built around, intending to serve as low a profile as possible while arranging as many guns on target as possible. Operated by two Thules--a pilot and a navigator--the Pulsar-class is capable of thrust that even Fourth Generation models aren't capable of fully mitigating, and they can only carry a fraction of the armor and defenses of a standard fighter. Little more is needed, as the Pulsar only needs so much force to take down its desired prey--torpedoes and enemy strike craft, and is equipped with a pair of high-powered rotary lascannons as its primary armament, and is further equipped with a number of small-scale splitter missiles able to force their way through enemy point defense and escort screens to shut down even the heaviest ordnance attacks. The navigator--among their obvious duty of keeping the pilot pointed in the right direction, is also responsible for wrangling the Pulsar's two Sibling-class Void Automata, frequently equipped with high mobility packs and lascannon arrays to provide added punch and the necessary double-taps when the first pass wasn't enough to solve your problem. Unlike the Cepheid-class, its speed and light armor render it unsuited for atmospheric combat... Or more accurately, "You can take it there if you're insane enough to try, but you probably don't want your hull to catch fire and explode from air resistance at the speeds this thing is capable of, and if you're going to slow down... Why bother?"

Remaining designs are pending once I can find some kickin rad reference images for them. Interceptors are in, just need Boarders and Bombers, and ideally some good references for them too. We're in the Anime Realm now boys, girls, and undisclosed. We should find references appropriate to it.
