game exploity (gets QM to fuck us over):
"now that we are almost all XV lets rush it using this combinations of songs, traits and symphonies so we can skip all effort in a single turn and break the game"

non game exploity:
"now that we leave all XV almost completed, lets focus on *signals everything else* and lets comeback to it in a month or so"

i guess the second is fine where the first would get us slapped down
Honestly, we probably could get 15 on a few more of the Dev categories over time. A full turn's investment is 4 Actions, so 2.5 Turns worth of investment for one Dev category to go from 10 to 15. And that's without using A Cry for the Future. That brings it down massively. Still, the main thing is that HeroCooky is very likely to give us only 1-2 turns after we do this mega research turn before they hit us with the next crisis.

@HeroCooky, Unrelated, but could you tell us how the first wave of the psykers that we got in the Awakening/Warp Storm are going in their training? And how long until they graduate to active Choir status?

Personally I think going for traits is way better - yeah tons of free actions are amazing, but these are things we can't otherwise replicate. And the anti-chaos bit is huge - powering that stuff up would be incredible for fighting chaos, and I can see some knock on effects as far as diplomacy.

Problem is that:
1. We are getting to the end of the Necron arrival grace period and all of their ship research is 4-5 actions now. This is the only way we get it.
2. The quest is ending in a few months, those traits aren't going to have as much time to apply themselves as the Symphony boosted research is.
3. There are 3 total upgrades left to the Faith Trait, we gain 1 level from the 'No Evil' song (and we'll soon get the Choirs to use it at full power) and there are the All 15 and All 20 rewards that we can put into the Faith Trait to bring it to max.

What about doing bounty of labor, push void industry to 19, everything else to 14, and over next few turns reach all-15 void-20? Would that also be too dangerous?
HeroCooky is holding a gun to my head here, but yeah, probably. Let's not play games about cheesing things -- and we've ultimately delayed way too long on doing what we need to do thanks to the Warp Tremors. The research we're going to pop through is going to be ultimately far beyond the sum of its parts -- if we can't get all XV immediately it.

I disagree, because uh, we have a fuckoff weirdo fucking system in DO NOT ENTER, and also there's likely going to be tyranids coming in (which heavily disrupt Psykana, btw), plus god knows what else. Chaos is the ultimate enemy, but this is 40k, there are a lot more fucking enemies floating around.

What Labor gives us is something that the trait can't give us, and it's time. There are multiple fuckoff huge Chaos polities, and like, we kind of just need better quality everything to start wrecking them (along with joining up with other groups). Push hard into ship automation + automata help our actions be that more effective + extend the longevity and effectiveness of our military and society, pushing hard into Necrontech gives us options to do insane shit that aren't dependent on Psykana, etc. It makes being able to punch a Crusade Fleet down the Nurglite's throats that much more effective, giving us more time to consolidate, build up, and reinforce them.

And like, it's not that our anti-Chaos effectiveness is bad. We can mog most of their passive memetic nonsense -- ultimately, what's most effective in not letting Chaos take root in your society is having a good society, which, with All-X, we're one of the best in the Galaxy. Active spiritual guardianship and vigilance takes care of most of the rest -- before we popped that anti-Fate magic song we had like a fraction of a fraction of a percentage of Chaos cultists, and with it being popped we swiped away even more of them. That's not to mention us being able to permanently deny planets to Chaos barring active geoengineering with the Sacred Sands.

I want the anti-Chaos trait bad, but weighing improving something we're better than like 90% of the galaxy versus being able to live, buy time, and be monumentally more effective against a lot of other enemies...

Plus, with the Song and the 2 remaining All Dev Traits we CAN get the max level of the Faith trait as well.

Edit: And the cheese that ended our hopes of using the Bounty of Labor reward for Dev was the fact that it gives 25 AP per level, and with all of our bonuses the 50 for All 10 can easily cover the ~40 AP required for All 15 .... and we could then choose Bounty of Labor again and get near enough too All 20 in 2-4 turns.... Yeah, the cheese is that insane. So, if we do Dev with this we get 'consequences'.

so yeah ideally i want to leave dev almost at XV,then let it rest for a while so we dont anger the QM and then do it in a couple turns later on
trying to rush too many things in a row is the quest equivalent of warp tremors, the QM has a metter of "are my players cheesing my quest?"
we gotta let it rest for a while before try again

[X] A Wealth of Labor

Here we gooooo
Yeah. They'll be finished this Turn.
Well then. *Smiles* Everyone you heard/read the QM's announcement, take your bets now! How many Choirs will we get over the next few turns? :)
Oh boy, that'll be interesting.

If we can get No Evil to maximum effectiveness, that'll be actually a fairly strong argument towards cracking open the Autonomous Automata shell, since we'll have it with Grand Design as well, as we'll have well-designed Automata as well as having serious anti-Chaos protections up. So long as we invest into figuring out Healing songs, in case any nascent Artificial Souls start popping up, we should be in business.

I don't think we'll be cracking open any AI proper, but... something to keep in mind.

With a massive increase of Choirs, I wonder if we'll be able to crack open more Songs per action or similar.

Paranoia's trying to kick in and go "Yeah we have a Warpstorm that'll drop and if we don't take the Faith boost we'll get fucked", but I'm staying to the course despite the bad vibes trying to mind control me.

[X] A Wealth of Labor

I don't think we're gonna need 24 hours to settle this vote, but Cooky's sure as hell going to need it to write all the myriad of ways our civilization could collapse in the next 5 turns.

[X] A Wealth of Labor

If you think about it, getting the Federation so big that we can have 100% uptime on See No Evil is just like picking the trait upgrade! ;)

[X] A Wealth of Labor

Yup yup!

You may want to get HeroCooky to confirm if you can spill over Necron Tech options, they seem to be labeled differently than the Action that I specifically get confirmation for (That action being Ship Automatization). If they are separate actions then they wont become available until the next turn.
Yeah, will do.

Does this mean that my proposed overflow research options aren't valid? These ones:
--[] Follow-up Gravity-Weaponization (35 AP, 2 Free AP, 0.75 Overflow) 5 AP towards next level of Grav-weapons.
--[] Follow-up Green Ship studies, focused on completing techs if possible (41 AP, 4 free AP, 0.35 overflow) Spending 10 AP on next necron-tech.
--[] Follow-up Shipyard Automatization IV (44 AP, 2 free AP, 0.15 overflow) 5 AP towards next level of Automatization
There isn't enough research and I want do do more. Also if there are follow-on techs from the necrons this is probably the only way to get them.

So are we using Grand Design as our symphony for the bonus actions? I'm seeing Mechandendrite AP being used in Neablis' plan and I'm a bit confused.
That only gets applied to the 3 "regular turn" actions where the restriction on only getting one song/symphony doesn't apply. Doing this gets us +1 action which is still worthwhile.

As an aside... My own take on what should be done with the 50 actions:

[ ] 50 Action Draft
-[ ] [General] Research (30 AP, 48 actions):
--[] Titan Manufactorum Rationalization (0/2) X2

(Gain: Cheaper Titans)
--[] Warcasket Prototypes (1/2)

(Gain: Universally Effective Common Cold Vaccine)
--[] Green Ship Teleportarium Insights? (1/4) X3
(Gain: Teleportarium Upgrade?)
--[] Green Ship Alloying Insights? (0/4) X4
(Gain: Armor Equipment?)
--[] Green Ship Structural Insights? (0/4) X4
(Gain: Armor Upgrades?)
--[] Green Ship Power-System Insights? (0/4) X4
(Gain: Void Shield Equipment?)
--[] Green Ship Inertia Compensation Insights? (0/4) X4
(Gain: Engine Equipment? May lead to something more...)
--[] Wetware Scout Automata (0/1)
(Gain: Wetware Scout Automata are added to your military.)

(Gain: Wetware Civilian Automata begin production.)
--[] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0.5)
(Gain: Infantry Weapons and Armor Upgrades.)
--[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development (0.5)
(Gain: New Infantry Weapons and Armors.)
--[] Logistical Infantry-Grade Weapons Development II (0/1)
(Gain: Cheaper Infantry Weapons.)
--[] Logicstical Infantry-Grade Armor Development II (0/1)
(Gain: Cheaper Infantry Armor.)
--[] Ship Equipment Standardization - [1 DP Equipment] (1/3) X2
(Gain: Standardize 1 [One] 1 DP Ship Equipment across all new Designs.)
--[] Shipyard Automatization III (1/2)
(Gain: 1 Frigate every Turn.)
--[] Long-Range Atevrian Sightlense (0/2) X2
The Atevrian Sightlense is a specially prepared Lance weapon whose lenses have been carved with Sigils and Holy Geometry. At the moment of fire, the weapon's waste energy curves and channels into the Warp from its apparatus, drastically enhancing its fire rate and range.
(Gain: Long-Range Atevrian Sightlense - 5 DP Weapon. Requires a Choir to operate.)
--[] Silent Shimmershroud (0/2) X2
The Shimmershroud is a massive dispersion engine capable of twisting the position of the vessel it is installed upon within the Materium, reducing the damage the same takes by virtue of simply not existing where hostile munitions pass through, while also masking its emissions to make it even harder to hit.
(Gain: Silent Shimmershroud - 11 DP Equipment. Requires a Choir to operate.)
--[] Newly Improved Psyker Staves (2/5) X3
The ability to create psychic focii is no longer a mere beginner's art within the Glimmering Federation, and with knowledge and familiarity comes the ability to strive further than yesterday. With The Sun Melody having become a measuring stick upon which one can see progress, it is estimated that further refinement will be capable of reducing the damages incurred into "mere" full-body third-degree burns.
(Gain: Improves Choir efficiency and might when using Songs and Melodies.)
--[] Newly Improved Psychic Hoods (0/5) X5
Thanks to the work done in figuring out how to psychically tune and shape cloth and metals to weave together into one whole, a "Psychic Hood" for the layperson, the Celestial Choir is eager to not only begin large-scale dissemination of knowledge and practice but also delve deeper into their understanding of how they function and can be improved.
(Gain: Improved Psychic Hoods are equipment that shields your Psykers from backlash to varying degrees.)
-[] [General] Colonize (Planet/s)
Ivuh - Ubraka (Planetary Mangroves), Llolanov - Kriegar (Temperate Forests and Mild Arctic), Yeogawa - Gheistheim (Flowering Abdundance), Lethysan - Gilians (Wet Terrace Mountains)
-[] [General] Terraform (Planet) - (Auto-Terraformation - 300.M43)
Alabaster - (Target Biosphere: Early Life and High Oxygen) - (Maximum Population: 23 Billion) - (Terraformation Time: ~80 Years)
Hylcyon - (Target Biosphere: Windy Sulfur Continental) - (Maximum Population: 14 Billion) - (Terraformation Time: ~80 Years)
Litra - (Target Biosphere: Ice Bog) - (Maximum Population: 15 Billion) - (Terraformation Time: ~160 Years)
-[] Initiate Diplomatic Assimilation of Lords Of Eternity into the Glimmering Federation
-[] [Military] Construct God-Engines (1x Deus Machina (0/10)) X10
-[] [Psykana] Conduct Six Melodies (0.2/1 - Auto Complete) - [Choose Melody]

Wisdom II, Innovation II, Love, Compassion III, Health III, Justice III
-[] [Psykana] Sing two Songs (Choose at least Three below.) - (0.0/1 - Auto Complete) - [N/A]

Shield Us From The Influence Of The Four, Burn Out The Festering Growths
-[] [Psykana] Warp Observatory (1/3) X2
-[] [Chapter] A Barge For Battle (2.5/4)
-[] Duel Of The Fates (2/12) X2

TL;DR:
We research almost everything on our list.
We expand - via colonization, via terraformation, and via assimilation of the Lords Of Eternity.
We upgrade our psykana (via upping almost all of the Star Child melodies, via a couple new Songs, via Warp observatories, and of course via research, such as better staves and hoods).
We accelerate the Black Ash Clan assimilation process.
We make sure the Lamenters have an actual Battle Barge (and move on ahead of schedule with the next step in their iterative growth.
And we build a mountain-sized super-mecha that's almost an "I win" button on the planet it's deployed to.

When planning for the 50 AP "Great Leap"(thanks Mao) we should specify which actions are the regular ones because those are effected by the songs meaning that if we do two general or psykana we can get a third...just as an fyi
