I wonder at what point the forums are going to end up speculating about the rate that Justice Unlimited gets new recruits that nobody's ever heard of before. These latest two heroes are able to use "Nora's research assistant" and "Nora's unfinished armor" as a excuse, but someone is eventually going to smell something fishy.

Lets believe Leizi Espionage game for good covers.

Yara atleast is young enough that having a power shes been keeping hidden is possible and Leizi helps make people believe it.

Homer is an unknown since hes stuck under Anodyne which could make a good explanation for him hising his powers.

Funny enough with Scarlets Maturity Power boost being known a good cover is that JU has their own version of power boosting to explain how Yara and Homer suddenly have bullshit powers.

Maddie: Actual genuine new recruit
Opale: Established hero, doesn't need a cover

Mona: Existing "internship training session" under Yazmin
Rhys: Stealth operative
John: Using technology
Noelle: Taking up Nora's mantle

Do you think if we said to Silvio's face that he was acting irrationally and erratically because of Rebound, he'd get mad enough to blow his top and ruin his image?

I believe as part of Leizi being the starting hero it was stated that she would feed information about Justice Unlimited making a deal with cartels for new metahumans.

None of our current heroes need that cover, but perhaps it will work for a few new no name heroes. Especially for those candidates that happen to not have squeaky clean pasts.

Though eventually it will be undeniable that we have an abnormal supply of heroes, best to keep it a mystery for the public to guess at as long as possible.

I had a thought, not sure if anyone said it yet but...

If those uh- Algerion or however it's written is supposed to be shared...
We have Chatroom's DNA.
We can share the Algerion power
Wildspeaker's power could also help: while Algernon abilities aren't tied to intelligence, WS+Chatroom could potentially let a group of scientists keep up with them by combining enhanced intellect and telepathic teamwork.

I like the more simplistic look of Shining Gold, but I also like the constellation etchings from Goldborne.
It's the other way round lol. Shining Gold has the Contellation etchings.

That's kind of a dick move and makes us look bad.

Far better to have him blow up by showing him a video of Joules abandoning Justicar.

Hell, with Rhys, we don't even have to lie!

"Yeah, Lady Leizi and a few other heroes knew me, but I wasn't interested in getting any attention. Then the Movement happened while I was out of the city and by the time I got back, my boyfriend was dead. I couldn't just sit back watch from the sidelines anymore after that, so I signed up."

A Shapeshifter working as an actuall subtle spy, instead of a hero makes sense afterall. It fits the power and really not something youd spread around since id just make Handymans job harder.

Guess Valiant Gold could work but it just feels s power rangerish I dislike it.
I mean, not for nothing, but each of the Valiants were based on sentai/power rangers.

I also feel like Valiant Gold just... fits a whole lot better than anything else, personally at least. Considering that Ellie is a successor to Valiant Silver, it makes sense to me to go from Silver to Gold. After all, this is her using Nora's magnum opus after being approved of and guided through the process by her psychic ghost. It's as much of a passing of the torch and blessing of a new successor as Valiant Silver could ever have, going from Silver to Gold just fits imo.

The first big problem for our secrecy is going to be Yara, since she's a very public figure and her going from 0 to 100 is going to raise a few eyebrows.

Also, framing John as a tech-type hero is excellent, especially since nobody is going to know about his Claivoyance.

Yara is within the age range for a naturally developing but late-blooming power. Our lie with Mona was that she awakened two years ago, when she was 17, and Yara is 18.

Johns barriers are enough to count as Powerful A-Class power especially with The Hustle afterall.

The clairvoyance just gives him better Ranger with his forcefields while also not something we have any reason to reveal to others.

The Problem is how strong the powers shes gonna get is meaning shed need to have it a bit and training it in secret while not using it against her attackers.

So people are gonna be sus still I trust in Leizi espionage to create a convincing cover.

Edit: At the very least we just need to make it look like Yara had no reason reveal her powers yet thanks to Belle Sabreuse and then JU protecting her properly. So she kept her power hidden in case she really needed it as trump card. Cold ys but a necessity she believed in since the attackers were too strange and mastermind unknown.

Edit2: Hell if we recruit Belle at the same time she can just say she and yara decided to keep her powers a secret as a Trump card if the worst happens and the attackers actually succeed in kidnapping her.

Powers take some time to develop: Maddie started off as only able to move her shadow around. So having Yara become Valkyrie 2.0 overnight is going to raise some questions.

Speaking of Yara, I think we should do the Third Person mission before we empower her to get his DNA. The reason Black Swan is so powerful is that we used a really high-potency power and tacked on a couple of others to balance things out, and I think we should do the same for Yara.

Or Yara gets a subtle power we can hide. Or a power she can plausibly not have figured out she had.

For example, if we go with her as our "anti-psychic" subject, how was she supposed to know she could cancel mental manipulation without first encountering it?

I mean, his mission still has "DNA" as a reward.
Chance of DNA is basically there for any mission where we can eitehr kill a metahuman or have a member die in.

That said.

MG +3
3rd Person +1
Demon Flamez +1

Would let us regain OID and Unlock Dr. Ibis lab so if we delay Realtiy instead we can go for AP. We do have enough ambrosia to give 1 candidate power to get 9AP if we dont recruit Belle.

I honestly prefer that since SB is dangerous that wed want to prep more atleast take Spiderweb action for SB.

She's a potency 13, they're not subtle powers.

Any anti-psychic stuff she gets is probably going to be included in "be a psychic" since she's going to have to detect and repel them, something only a psychic can do.

Are we likely to kill Third Person? He has no corporeal form, and if he voluntarily surrenders he's going back to whatever Wonderland replacement Wolong cooks up.
Anything can be killed.

Saying we can't get DNA from an incorporeal ghost is quitter talk.

you know the possibility exists that if we activate Power Nullification on him, he jumps all the way back to his original body which is in a coma or something.

Honestly among all our Monarch underling Targets, 3rd person is the only one i really want to kill. Psychic parasite is too much of a pain and risk wiht our teams Psychic sensitivity.

The shroud we can capture and put in Wonderland. Its not a good idea for heroes to always go for the kill afterall, even if horizon not having actual legal system for proper execution means killing is option for vile villains.
