Soon, soon, we can pull the trigger.

Or at least, I damn well hope we can.
Don't know what Chaos is cooking but...yeah it is concerning how the Warp has been so unstable.
I do want to draw your attention to a comment by our lovely QM:
*Literally, like, 3~5 days away from unlocking Void Inf VI, and thus Battleships*
*Still Mopes*
:V
My guess is that there's a dice roll every turn that determines how much the Warp ticks down, maybe between 0.05-0.25 a turn or something. Maybe on a 1 on a d6 it ticks up a little bit.

Right now we only have insight into the whole value steps of 0 (still), 1 (calm), 2 (resistive), 3 (medium), 4 (high), 5 (warp storm). Chaos stuff might be causing the dice roll to give worse results, but we do know it's still ticking down, and it's probably about 4.3 or a bit lower rght now. The way we actually learn that is by building the Observatory, which should just tell us the number.

If we wanted to take a risk, we know that The Grand Design only increases the Warp value by 0.25 for the first turn we activate it. So on the assumption that we're not at 4.75 or higher (which given that it jumped a step from restive to high and it's been a few turns, it really shouldn't be), we could just turn on The Grand Design and Enact The Plan and... well. Pray. Or maybe prey, but you know. Let's not hope for that.

Of course, this is all wild-ass guesswork on my part. But...

The delays on the symphonies have been pretty biting, but clearing out the DAOT backlog looks to be pretty profitable. I doubt that they'll all be this cracked out, but getting HH to 3 has guaranteed that at least there will be finds, and even "trivial" finds can be very, very good, considering stuff like Chocolate.

There's ups and downs, and I'm very glad we're getting that Warp Observatory next turn, but at the very least getting any of this makes pulling the trigger that much more powerful.

I'm fine with any of these -- gene-editing is pretty nice, but we've got enough of a backlog, even with a Grand Design A Bounty of Labor. Cogitators is self-explanatory, but pushing Cloning to Advanced sounds very, very spicy. It's something that Irrita have in Terraforming, and uh, they're pretty cracked out for that, so the effectiveness on that seems pretty attractive even if it's mostly under the hood, considering how much of our conventional ability is tied to voidcraft and similar.

Dear Emperor. This wasn't just another horror, I this was a remnant from the Iron War. Whatever it was doing, it has been stopped and the victims given mercy. I hope the foul abomination knew true fear.

I love me some Computers. However I'm still not sure what Advanced tier tech is but it sounds like A Big Deal.

@HeroCooky when you wake up, did the Aquarius do its intended job at keeping the fleet in good order? Did we need more of them? Or was it missing any assets to properly support a fleet?

The our fleets get a chance to see action so we could see how the Cancer performed?
Well, you turned up above the moon, and the Insane AI just started chucking malformed babies at your ships at terminal velocities. So it prevented some total ship losses by being able to repair your ships.

Beyond that, all other military actions were on the ground.

What?! How did it even manage to get them to break orbit?!! Also when we got the (incorrect) level 1 version of Foretold Luminous Paths Seen it had 50 choirs as its cost. Now the correct level 2 song needs 100 choirs. Is this a mistake?

Also come next turn can we please put some actions into Warp Observatory? like even if it doesn't complete it, just chip away at it? we're gonna need it soon.
I'm probably going to make a plan to finish the observatory and sing two songs. I'm thinking:
Machines Shielded Against Abberant Thoughts - Protection Technology Void, Song Unity <-*noted by the QM to make Automata safer for use, relevant because we just made them smarter and are likely to make them even smarter soon.
and of course the song we're going to need to get eventually:
Shield Us From The Influence Of The Four - Protection, Hope, Grounding, Health, Protection
Though then there's
Better Days Are Fought For By Kindred Efforts - Hope, Unity, Struggle, Compassion, Humanity
A Path Forseen Is One Easily Walked - Wisdom Logic Technology Progress Hope
Hope Beyond Reason, Build Without Fear - Hope Hope Compassion Humanity Home
Avoid Pitfalls Leading To Dead Ends - Perception Wisdom Technology Progress Hope
which all seem good.

But I'd really like to get a song that gave us extra psykana actions like Heartbeat of Industry & the Devouring Mechadendrite do for military & general respectively. That was the attempt with the song described as "Sing Creations Into Existence Sharp And Sure" which became Hiss of the Steam Valves. My next best guess for that would be
Sing Of Changes Brought By Wise Minds - Song Creativity Wisdom Hope Progress
But I'm always on the lookout for others. So @HeroCooky can I get a gut check on some song ideas:
Song, Progress, Creativity, Grounding, Protection
Song, Progress, Innovation, Humanity, Creativity
Song, Wisdom, Progress, Perception, Hope
Song, Wisdom, Prophecy, Logic, Creativity
Song, Creativity, Grounding, Protection, Unity
Am I on the right track with putting Song first? Given that our psykana is so music-focused it seems like it would make sense. After that I'm just trying to stick stuff that seems like it would help with signing a song to make psykana better/easier.

You mean boarding torpedoes, right? Right?

You know the babies from The Forest videogame? Imagine an AI hyper-focused on creating an entire tech-base held up entirely by neonatal building blocks, from industry to weapons. You may realize why I didn't really go into detail beyond; "Yeah, that is fucked up."

And nope. You need 50 more Choirs, but you now get more accurate information.

I'm... not sure if any of those are what I'm looking for? I do want you to know that I read the last one as
Hymnals Cry Their Might Against Dicerolls at first, which was hilarious.
Still, I think this is closer. Symphonious Symphosium Of Tribals is closest, but not quite right. Let's try:
Song, Progress, Innovation, Creativity, Grounding
Song, Progress, Innovation, Creativity, Song
Song, Progress, Logic Innovation, Creativity
Song, Progress, Wisdom, Creativity, Innovation
Let me know if this is getting annoying.

You, good sir, have a twisted and terrible mind. And I mean it as a complement.
Now where's that brain bleach...

Ok. So those all seem good. I just don't know which one does what I want!

Probably this one?
