[] Plan: Autumn's Green Plan
-[][Free][Psykana] Deactivate Hippity Hoppity, fully activate The Devouring Mechadendrite and Glint of Genius, extra choirs to Hiss of the Steam Valves while leaving 50 choirs free.

-[ ] [Free][System Subversion] The Talon - Qo and Oq Jubilia - Oq: Tell all subversion teams to shift priorities from revolution to preparing for the Federation to 'buy out' the Black Cat Company in perpetuity. Priority should be in making the deal possible and getting the best deal possible without leaving the resenting us/willing to leave if paid better.
-[] [Psykana] Sing a Symphony
--[] A Cry For The Future
-[] Heavy Industry VIII (0/1)
-[] Heavy Industry IX (0/1)
-[] Heavy Industry X (0/1) (Mechadendrite Action)
-[] Research (symphony action #1)
--[] Fully Reverse Engineer the Knights (2/4 -> 4/4) (x1 AP + x1 Glint AP)
—[] Green Gun(1 AP + 1 Glint AP)

Rather than the mil action just get one of the techs we are wanting. That way we can just grab the next one the turn after. The mil action is not really necessary because the plan is to annex them via duels so doing it like this seems…like a waste of an action

Okay so doing the math in my head and in 2 turns we can still get everything. Okay so remember where we can get .5 actions that we can just put in places?

Well we can put .5 on something like, hypothetically, a dev action. Okay hear me out.

Turn after next 3 actions dev = 1.5 mech actions = 9.5 dev for med
Turn after 4 action dev = 2 mech actions = 10 mil dev + . 5 to finish off med dev + .5 to put anywhere(I say research the Shipyard Automation)

Edit: essentially we can have give for 2 actions as it will, no matter what we do, take 2 turns to finish and get all X

Edit: wait I see the cooking. I see Alectai's big brain…never mind this post. It is not something we should do. @Alectai I kneel

I'm confused by this plan. It kind of sounds like it's trying to benefit from both symphonies at once?
I don't think we can benefit from A Cry For The Future on the turn that we activate it.

I don't think we can benefit from A Cry For The Future on the turn that we activate it.

It's not, it's switching to Cry while we push the rest of our Inf up to the precipice over this and the next turn, and then we swap again to Grand Design and take the actions for the reward to do a colossal tech push with Maximum Benefits while also presumably squeezing in VI 16 so we can build Battleships and Grand Cruisers.

Edit: like just get the knight and the necron guns completed this turn. The sooner we are done those the sooner we can do the dueling plot and not worry about the impending necrons
But the thing is, I'm not sure our current Symphony actually does anything for the Necron Guns? The wording for it hasn't changed at all unlike the other techs, so I think we'd be best served going for other techs which visibly do have a benefit like making Super Heavy automata that regenerates and two Frigates per turn so we can get some troop-left capacity for our army since we've been lacking in that for a while.

In case the research Symphony gets turned off immidiately, I'd rather put those research points into next tier of Juvenant, so that we don't accidentally limit ourselves. At least wait with Necron tech until we're sure it'll be affected by it

But this plan clearly has an action generated by the symphony.

Hmm, let me take a quick look at the math to see if we can optimize that any.

EDIT: Ah, that's the issue. We can generate a second Symphony AP, but only if we spend a real AP on the Research so we can push it up to 5 total actions generated through non Symphony AP.

So here's what the plan should look like.

[X] Plan: Grinding for the Endgame
-[X][Free][Psykana] Deactivate Hippity Hoppity, fully activate The Devouring Mechadendrite and Glint of Genius, excess Choirs that aren't needed to maintain auto-tickers (If any) are on Hiss of the Steam Valves.
-[X] [Free] Consecrate (Chad Prime - Gigachad)
-[X] [Free][System Subversion] The Talon - Qo and Oq Jubilia - Oq: Tell all subversion teams to shift priorities from revolution to preparing for the Federation to 'buy out' the Black Cat Company in perpetuity. --[X] Heavy Industry IX (0/1) (Symphony AP 1)
---[X] Heavy Industry X (0/1) (Mechadendrite AP)
-[X] [General] Research
--[X] Logistical Infantry-Grade Weapons Development II (0/1)
--[X] Logicstical Infantry-Grade Armor Development II (0/1) (Glint AP)
--[X] Ship Equipment Standardization - [1 DP Equipment] (1/3) (Symphony AP 2 + Glint AP)
---[X] Armored Lifepods

These are good for us no matter what, get us the full bang for our Symphony buck, and set us up to get most of the way to our goal of being ready to drop the All-X hammer, only needing 10 more actions generated when we can produce 5 per turn.

Keep in mind that this plan will utilize the downgraded, normal researches, not the full effect ones as described in it.

1. You assume incorrectly. It applies the Turn they are turned on.

So, switching is instant, no lag in which 2 symphonies can overlap.

Yyyyeah. I think we want to strictly separate one or two turns that are ALL research (and thus benefit from the research symphony), and turns that are ALL general development (and enjoy the Mechadendrite development, while using no symphony and letting the Warp calm down).

As such, my suggestion is as follows:

-If turning off Grand Design only takes effect next turn, spend our three actions this turn researching Green Ship Gun, Green Ship Other Gun, and Fully Reverse Engineer The Knights.
-If turning off Grand Design takes effect immediately, take 2+1 actions raising Heavy Industries to X, and 1+0.5 action to raise Medical Services to VII.

Yeah, my updated plan takes that into account by grabbing stuff that's good for us even without the supercharge. Armored Lifepods is something we put on every ship too, so it removes that tax from us (And finally pays off the Crusader Doctrine tax!)

We'll have the full All-X lined up by 230 at this rate, only needing to delay for one turn to swap over to Grand Design for the Massive Tech Push, especially since we want to try--if we can--to push VI to XVI in that window where we're still paying one per upgrade so we can get All-X at the same time we get VI 16 to unlock Battleships.

I am aware of that and okay with that. At this point, I just want to get the Necron tech going out the door because we keep saying Next turn and keep not doing it next turn. So I am gonna just let one of these cook

The downside, of course, is that I'm pretty sure that all the extra modules are stuck on the same cost timer. So if you pick one, you increase the cost for others.

Eh, nothing's perfect. The only other real thing I'd probably want to standardize at this point would be Lattice Hulls and Superior Gravimetric.

I'm pretty sure @One Autumn Leaf's plan still works. 3 base actions+1 mechadendrite action. That's enough for 1 symphony action, which gets a glint action, which puts the turn at 5 non-symphony actions to get the 2nd symphony action & the 2nd glint action.

It's more just a question of if we want to hold off on the Knights/Necron tech stuff. Which... I don't think we should? Getting the Knight stuff done sooner lets that auto-ticker start, and lets us throw a general action towards starting to duel the Black Ash. As for the necron stuff - I want to unlock both necron guns before the Mondo Tech Turn, so we can Grand Design the next layer of the necron tech tree, not this one. The research you're doing is... fine, but much more a 'nice to have' than a 'need to have'.
