Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Because it has an access into the catacombs is all Ebeneezer knows, those have a bad reputation, more generally evil things tend to lurk underground doubly so if they are places of death.
Okay.
I assume there's a seal on that place for a reason.
If we dont know whats there and why, its irresponsible to crack the seal on that bottle.

Worst case, we burn the restaurant down and make sure the owners and workers get compensation for it.

Welp. I'm sure the Council won't be happy, and Molly may get the MiB speech, but it's better than releasing some nasty into Paris by accident because we smashed the church's wards and they were holding down a demon or something. Probably overly paranoid, but considering the day so far I think that's probably the smarter mindset.

I'd try Forthill, but it just seems a stretch too far for any realistic chance he can get super quick permissions from a Parisian church, because it would have to be SUPER quick and just explaining to him, and them him calling Paris to explain to them, seems too long.

It seems every old place has a seal for old and terrible things damn kitchen sink supernatural bullshit setting. fucking vegas, the pacific ocean, chicago has an island nearby, paris, I'd honestly be surprised if there isn't a terrible evil under the white council headquarters.

@DragonParadox are we ever going to get to see the results of unleashing the Hope Plague?
I don't really like headers is the thing. I find them distracting.
Maybe just explicitly include the character in the chapter titles. Because the lack continues to result in me being utterly lost during interludes beyond "some White Council Wizard?". Which is exceptionally distracting in itself

To be fair you can immediately tell who's POV the chapter is from by the first line of the second paragraph.

"The dead outnumber the living Warden Dresden and nowhere does that matter weigh more heavily than in a place where men have been pressed together so tightly for so long."

Dresden ask a question in the first line and in the first line of the second paragraph Lydia responds to it with his name telling us that it's Harry's POV.

"Why is it that every city has to have some kind of spooky tunnel system under it? Is there a rule book I didn't read?" That was what most people called a rhetorical question. I had found that as I got on in age I asked those aloud more often, though I still had a ways to go until I got to judging by Ebenezer. Sadly no one had told the kid.

Those would be the roots of a city. The proper term is Lagum because I am Serbian, but you would know them more as the Dungeons from Dungeons and Dragons Harry. /s

Sorry about the snark but I always get annoyed at English-speakers when they don't know this.

The whole Boston/Wicked City arc was only a month ago IC?
Its a longterm effect kinda thing
Give it time.

Besides, absence of news is itself news.

Remember, Molly wiped out a wu of akuma, ambushed and wiped out the formal response force from a Wicked City base, spiked the economic suicide bomb that they set off, then physically invaded the Wicked City to steal away a major Fae spirit, leaving a supernatural superweapon in her wake as a response to the economic one detonated in the world economy.

The fact that there has been no response speaks more to incapacity to respond than unwillingness.

Lol.
Makes sense IC given how human centred Dresdenverse metaphysics and magic appears to be, that most of those things find thmselves close to human habitation.

I should point out that frying electronics blindly includes stuff like pacemakers and neurostimulators.
That kills people.
You probably shouldnt be doing that.

Oh yeah it makes plenty of sense and the fact dresden files is a kitchen sink setting means there are an absurd amount of buried evils. Doesn't make our job easier though lol.

Also as for the wicked city they really shouldn't be able to respond because we temporarily crippled them and the other yama kings are gonna see weakness and respond to that. Also you know they might suspect we have more fae favors left and not wanna poke us yet. I expect a response eventually but they should be more concerned with their rivals now and dealing with their rebellion.

You know what they say, when you see a fence on the path, don't wonder why it is there, just tear it down and you'll soon find out.

Unfortunately not, the soul of the human does not reside within it so provides no protection.
Ok. Unfortunate. I'll have to amend my plan

Also depending on your perspective deliberately set him up for a hostile encounter with Odin of all people.

We didn't actually consider it at the time, but anyone on the outside looking in is going to look at his well earned reputation and how we set up a situation where he'd clearly have insider information on the newly weakened state of a Yama king and assume we did that shit on purpose. It's like installing a doggy door in a henhouse then making sure the meanest coyote you're aware of knows where it is.

I don't think plan quick call makes sense given the new information available. It's not some rule about the consecration, it's actual wards. We can't open them without whatever casters have control of the defenses supposing they can be opened at all.

Why don't you vote for something or propose a vote then?
