[X] "Stay the fuck away, assholes."

I do not approve of MegaCorps trying to run countries. It never goes well.

They honestly have quite a few red flags with the whole we are an upstanding stellar nation helping this lawless sector of space and taking over planets by force, at least we asked if they wanted to join.
We sure asked that planet of veterans if they wanted to join us. Shame we decided we didn't like their answer and killed them until they stopped Gurellia warfaring us.

So does that mean the pro federation Qulach mechanicus have been wiped out?

Has the mechanicus leader who launched the nukes been executed yet for being too triggerhappy or incompetence?

Somehow, the Forge going boom is a relief. Sure, we lost out on hereteks, but we kinda lost them when we left.

I am willing to risk it for not having a war for once. They are human and not idiotically dogmatic, we have chocolate and faith, we can let them go then subvert them slowly.

I just want us to fully control at least one of our sub-sectors and not have to share it with someone else.

@HeroCooky out of curiosity, how many sub-sectors do the Tau control? Also is there an option to do something with the surviving SoB from Saget?

Ship Automation is cool, but honestly if we get a period of (comparative) peace, we should do the Academic thing first, because it makes it so that every Research Action procs faster towards the bonus-action/etc.
It would take 30 (!) Research actions for that to pay for itself. It's not really worth doing until the price is lower.
Rather, if we want to improve our Research, we should get Heavy Industry X and get a suitable trait. Heavy Industry governs research (among other things) and is what gave us the ability to research in the first place.

And we won't have to share it for long. The plan here is to subvert the Ashan Families from within by spreading revolutionary sentiment. Start seeding ideas of greater liberties within the laborers' reach if they join us and then swooping in at the most opportune time.

I disagree because we happen to know that things also have narrative knock-on effects. There's basically no version of what's being described that also just doesn't generally mean that we're educating our people really well in technology (which has all sorts of fucking advantages), and equally I'd find it pretty unlikely that there aren't even cooler things hiding behind that action, tbh.

They're considerably better than the Imperials-pretty much a modern state in the stars. We need experience dealing with groups who aren't inherent threats to us that we can just go to war with and conquer.

On one hand, let's not give the families extra rope. On the other hand, let's not make them desperate. Desperate people have a habit of doing a lot of damage before they go down. Let's see if we can't talk them into joining.
