So with the sharpuktu, I now want to spend an action to have our genetors/magos biologis to start cataloging the wildlife of our federation

Also how much sharpuktu is consumed by our federation?

[X] Plan: This is where we stab a knife into End of Line on the map

Hopefully this station isn't directly neighboring Imperium space. That would be nightmarish.

[X] Plan: Military logistics & Exorcised ships.
-[X] [General] Research:
--[X] Logistical Infantry-Grade Weapons Development (0/4)
(Gain: Cheaper Infantry Weapons.)
--[X] Logicstical Infantry-Grade Armor Development (0/4)
(Gain: Cheaper Infantry Armor.)
-[X] [Chapter] Sanctify The Chaos Ships (1/2)

Do you want me to spawn "The Cain" in this Quest? Do you, really, want Me to spawn "Hero of the Imperium Motherfrakking Cain" in this Quest?

I'd do it. I made the cat people canon and gave the Smol Yeens beans, don't you dare think I won't! :anger:

Cain and the Lamenters must never meet, for I fear the karmic resonance of them simply being on the same planet will cause a cosmic stack overflow and implode the sub-sector due to sheer bad luck.

...with Cain and his aide Jurgen being the only survivors, of course.

Next turn I say we do:

Build Medical Infrastructure IV
2x Build ship
-3 Aries-S, 3 Lupus
-Andromeda Command Ship

This will let us make up for the losses the Aries and Lupus classes have taken plus have enough slots to carry 30 out of 31 non-Andromeda ships.

As tempting as it is to rush Medical V we still need to push naval build up hard.

Eh, I don't think we actually need to push naval buildup that desperately.

--Medical
--Sanctification (to get to .8)
--Void Industry

Is my bet. It'll set us up to with a single Bomber action hit 1, therefore completing the new-style Bomber for free the turn after, finish the Medical, and start pumping out ships or even possibly be close to Heavy Cruiser time.

On the Contrary, I think we do. Keep in mind that Neon and Chaos is more likely than not ALWAYS going to be building more ships and already they have several fleets that are at least equal to our entire navy, and we STILL don't have an actual cruiser able to be on the frontline or addressed the problem of our lack of ability to move around our SAGs despite it being a noted priority in our first after action report.

Remember, we're in a war with a peer power, and we don't know what kind of losses we'll be taking with the End of the Line.

Hell we are more like at war with a power that would have crushed us by now if it wasn't for the Chaos invasion beachhead keeping 75% of their fleet occupied holding them off.

And if those Dictator cruisers had finished we'd be desperately trying to hold onto Itani. We got lucky they weren't finished.

I'm entirely on board with this except that I really think the research after sanctification should be
-[] Ship Design Improvements (0/2)
(Gain: +2 DP to all Ship Classes)
Because we're about to start designing new ships, and then we won't need to redesign them again after we get this upgrade.

In other words - it's easier to update small craft than to update ships.

We cant be sleeping on building up more ships. Naval strategy is build strategy. We are faced with a opponent that is stronger than us.

Like Neon is easily 3 to 5 times stronger than us militarily. It may not feel like it because we bushwacked one of their fleets in a big ambush but the fact remains that even after we killed one fleet and weakened another and then Neon lost a good part of another fleet at Gathin (plus however many they lost when they were first pushed out of there), as far as can be determined Neon still has 6 fleets equal in power to our fleet.

This is not a peer fight, we are the definite underdogs in this fight in absolute terms with the presence of Chaos invasion force being the saving grace for us.

We cannot afford to leave off ship building for later. I think we need to be having at minimum one action for naval building a turn.

It's not called sleeping on it, it's called we've been relentlessly building for most of the last few turns as a major action. We can instead spend some time improving our ships for when we do build them.

More then anything else, We need Cruisers. LC's Just can't keep up, Imperial ships have such a DP advantage despite their drawbacks that They barely NEED a Sheer Numbers or weight advantage. Setting aside the Dictator class who can Basically laugh at our strategy, Putting aside the Nova cannon's That effectively says "you must have ships of THIS tonnage to compete", A completly Bog standard Lunar class cruiser with its Standard excorts has a Non-Negligible chance of just Rolling our shit.
We get away with a hell of a lot in our Carrier doctrine because of how good the gene-sisters are as pilots, Dominating the Imperial Flyers DESPITE the fact that the planes they are flying as about 70% as good
Bad. Around 70% as effective, with a lot more divergence in designs, like linking the pilots/crew together into a noosphere within the craft for better cohesion and performance.
They are the Heroes of the fleet and the only reason we are in contention, But I am unsure we have seen a dedicated carrier ship to truly contest.

A Standard Lunar Class cruiser packs enough Firepower at all range bands that I am worried about it's ability to absulutly dominate our small ship focused fleet, and its flexability would let it style on a specialized Light cruiser that tries to stop that. We need Cruiser weight ships and I am unsure a LC weight ship can compete enough to be worth putting actions towards it instead of going for criser weights or Better planes.

Also, Our Gene-Sisters are doing all the heavy carrying in a ship 70% as good as the imperial counterpart, If we are staying carrier focused, Outside LC-C Ships of the line to prevent us from just getting rolled over by bigger ships, THAT will be the biggest Upgrade we can get in the short term.
