[] [General] Research:
-[] New Fighters for a New Age (0/2)

(Gain: New Fighters.)
-[] New Bombers for a New Age (0/2)
(Gain: New Bombers.)
-[] Ship Design Improvements (0/2)
(Gain: +2 DP to all Ship Classes)

Frankly I'm just stoked for when we get enough breathing room to do some proper research. The Libra is gonna get jacked from these options. Also:

[X] Plan: I'm Here to Kill Chaos
Yeah it will be nice when we aren't in "Complete and utter survival" mode. Lord knows when that will be though cause the Galaxy...

>Prop up a xeno-heretic empire to distract Neon
Tzeentch: "Just as Planned."
>Corrupt cloned astropaths to cripple Neon's fleets
Tzeentch: "Just as Planned."
>Activate six action Chaos infiltration of the armory world of Gathin
Tzeentch: "Just as Planned."
>Federation ignores risk of Neon counterattack
Tzeentch: "Just as Planned."
>Federation ignores Neon systems ripe for the taking
Tzeentch: "Wait, what-"
>Entire Federation fleet and Lamenters Chapter immediately jumps to Gathin to jump your ass
Tzeentch: "NOT PLANNED, NOT PLANNED!"

I mean, we didn't ignore the risk of counterattack, we just chose to stick to our operational goals and dig in. And wisely so apparently because that meant we're in a prime position to interfere at Gathin.

As long as this too isn't "Just as Planned" and it turns out this whole thing was just magical bait to drive us head first into a woodchipper because Gathin didn't actually just instantly fall but is, in fact, perfectly active and well.

Fuck.
I'll deal with it tomorrow. :anger:
Both void and planetary structures are lined with shields, have fortified & multilayered structures and guns and weapons line the walls and outsides to defend themselves and prevent any Ravagers from attacking and defiling these holy places.
However, a soldier may choose to return their body to the planetary biosphere or launch it into the solar body(ies) of the individual's home system.
can we keep the part where we have shields, fortified, multilayered structures, weaponry, etc. to protract said locations?

also location, exterior and interior designs seem to be varied in [] From Many, One; From One, Many so we could technically have at least 1 "Angylarium" and "candle crypt" somewhere in our federation, remained to Repository of the Found; the Angylarium can be anywhere via being a void structure but where would the ideal/most likely place a candle crypt be placed?

edit: and the [] Plan: The 5 last steps of the departed could also exist somewhere in our federation

Too high risk to let them get captured, and we don't have the space lift to cleanly get everyone off if Neon rolls in with a deathball while we're still engaged.
Depending on what the situation on the ground is in regards to terrain, I'd actually suggest one of the Droma SAGs since they are infantry focused which I imagine would help with navigating all the bunkers and warehouses bound to be there, and Heavy Sabatoge or Heavy Demolitions units sound like they'd be good here.

No no, I am sure this is perfectly fine, no need to change it ;)
I will say I did like the idea of cremating and crystallizing our dead.

That's part of the first wave, yes. Droma 3rd and Neumidia 1st, for a combination of fast reaction and Causing Problems to the enemy On Purpose, with enough Engineering to hopefully secure our beachhead for the second wave, which is more Assault oriented.

Well damn.
It's not like we can't.

  • [X] Plan: I'm Here to Kill Chaos
    -[X] Always. (Write-In Forces)
--[X] Task Fleet Alpha should scramble for immediate deployment alongside the Lantern Bearers (Remove 2 Lupus Classes to make room for the Lamenters fleet). First Neumidia and 3rd Droman will be the first wave. Once Void Superiority is won, a single Andromeda should play guide with troopships to shuttle the 1st Gnatillan and 1st Perfinda to the battlespace, as opportunity allows while the remainder of the fleet provide orbital support by way of bomber strikes and maintaining a blockade to cover the gap. If we still need more after that, do a second run to get the 1st Droman and 1st Ubraka to the table for good measure.
--[X] Remember, our objective is to Kill Chaos, no more, no less. We'll take any benefits we can from the place and liberate anyone and everything we can (Ships that aren't horribly corrupted, industry, like-minded people), but we don't have the ability to hold this place long term at this time. Be ready to bug out as best as we can if Neon sends reserves to liberate the planet. If we can capture any Chaos troopships or transports as part of our operation, and we have no reason to believe that a short excursion will be dangerous to our crews, don't be unwilling to repurpose them to carry the loot/troops on the way out at least to Barbarun. Refugees should probably stick to our sanctified ships though. Remember that we can, in fact, load people on a ship on the way out after all.

My biggest worry is that chaos has no lack of terminator armour, and its hard to fight terminator armour without terminators armour. normally the Mobility of standard marine armour should make something as slow as the Terminator outside of hardpoint assault worthless, but the flexibility given by their teleport homers render it fully possible for terminators to get the jump on their much more mobile cousins. Without our own terminator equivalents, I am a bit worried given the Danger of terminator+teleport assault des have an equivalent strategy for us.

But, not much we can do, So best we can do is identify the hole in our toolkit, and then revisit it when we can
Red Corsairs that we'll be facing likely does not have Terminators. Terminator equipped Marines in the Red Corsairs are known as Huscarls and serve as Huron's personal honor guard. If theyare here it would mean Huron is here and the sector would have been overrun decades ago.

Terminators are just as rare for the Traitors as they are for the Loyalists. If not more so due to having to make deals with the Dark Mechanicus. And they also tend to gain them after killing their previous owners.

What's the standard gear for our troops coming in this battle again?cus as far as I know any auxiliary troops we're sending with the Lamenters are gonna be facing astartes level threat for the first time.

Any chance we can figure out a melody for purifying Chaos taint? For individuals/small groups of people, I doubt we'd be able to purify larger areas or planets at the moment.

[X] Plan: I'm Here to Kill Chaos

Honesly, Im not worried about our lack of Terminators. To be honest I have seen so many things render it usless I feel that a its nothing more than a glorifide weapons platform. We also have an abnormal large amount of Power Swords so we are not lacking in Armor Piercing weapns. Put the Sword on a stick and throw it like a javlin.
