@Lepidoptera While I won't be changing my vote based off this, for completeness sake other than Lobotomy reducing our shell duration is there something blocking us from using Lobotomy to fix any issues that connecting with Angela may cause?

Not necessarily, but what you can do will depend on the exact nature of the issues. Plus, Angela might just not want you rooting around in her head. She and X care about each other, but Angela doesn't quite have the same overwhelming trust in X that the kids do.
By my understanding if we did connect with the Library there really shouldn't be much in terms of damage to her (not that I am supporting this) I mean she has EGO, which seems to offer some level of protection from abnormality stuff, if Kali's book is anything to go off of. Though that could be wrong. Additionally Angela has done this before with White Night, and also 15 other abnormalities. Not that it wouldn't suck. Twilight probably best choice, because if the one year down actually matters, we probably already lost.

It's better if we don't affect Angela in this case.
While she will probably be fine afterward. I have a slight feeling X won't take to it very well. Given that Angela already supports X so much and she is literally family to her too (they spent 10,000 years with each other).
Especially if X's abnormality nature hurt her sister. That would set our progress of getting her to accept herself back quite a lot.

One of my favorite things about Ace Attorney is the subtle design changes certain characters go through to change how they're perceived. The best examples I can think of are the antagonists from 6-2 and the DLC Case from the same game. The first just rolls up his sleeves, and the second puts on a surgical mask. But between that and the way their mannerisms change, they become completely different personas as to how they were before. It's amazing what just a small shift in one's outfit can accomplish.
Of course, since those wouldn't work as well in a written format, there is also the option of much less subtle character transformation.
