Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Visit the university grounds, you are curious as to what Johann of Cleves was meant to have done with the body of Aleron LaFortier had he slain him

This seems very fitting with Molly's urge

That the difficultly of making custom charms, from Molly's perspective any custom charm should not have any downside at all. As any effects are stuff that Molly would be perfectly fine with/already does as the norm.
That's where themes and personal issues come in. Everyone wants to have an I Win button, the tools they deploy are the closest they can manage.

How was it your father once characterized Lasciel, a rebel angel among rebel angels. For all her welcome differences Tiffany has definitely inherited that.
The mirror of Charity and Lasciel's problems with their daughters, despite every other difference between the two relationships, will never stop being funny to me.
As I said, it's quite common in the mundane world. And we are going to be dealing with mundanes too. It's also easy to arrange with our willing minions.
You need someone's full name, not just part of it, which is somewhat less common.

People in the know also treat it as implicitly hostile to try acquiring someone's name, and when people start learning what's up after we hook them in I can see the reaction being mixed to say the least.
I'm sorry, but you are being excessive here. Molly herself doesn't fulfill the criteria you listed, and will never be able to fulfill those criteria. She can be mote tapped. She doesn't have perfect defense (actually, she doesn't have any defense) against mind reading if it's only mind reading (because it's not shaping, and it doesn't seek to change her mind, only to read it, so IPM doesn't trigger). There are no charms to protect against mind reading, now that I think about it. Counter spelling exists, but that's pretty much all.
No infernal charms.

lesser horrors sCorned (••)
Those who would seek to know the Abyssal's thoughts or take a measure of her spirit gaze upon the void, and find that it gazes also into them.
System: This Charm doesn't prevent the Abyssal's mind from being read, nor her soul analyzed or evaluated. It does exact a price from anyone who would dare to do so. Whenever a character reads the Abyssal's mind, or uses some power which analyzes her personality (such as to learn her Nature) or spirit (such as reading her aura with Auspex), they must make a reflexive Willpower roll against difficulty 9. Failure inflicts a derangement upon them as they unwitting- ly find themselves staring into the heart of Oblivion itself. This derangement lasts for (Abyssal's Essence rating) weeks.
Pretty sure solars and a few other have them, which is what clued me in on the difference.

You're right that Molly doesn't have those abilities, but some don't even make sense in her context and the others are things we should aim for. The clones are added attack surface and need other defenses to make up the difference.

Also, if we can't answer a threat that reasonably could happen then it's not paranoia. If we were playing middle grade whamp!quest and Olivia started sniping people reacting by minimizing the amount of aggro we draw wouldn't be paranoid.

Maybe you are right, but in the sense of them being Molly's spiritual organs, transportation is a large part of both her world, and of how Molly operates. It's somewhat natural that she develops such a charm. I'll have to think about it.
Yeah, but not everything necessarily makes it into the charm set. Especially since this is basically just the charms that Molly develops for the quest. I doubt full primordials ever really stopped developing stuff like this as they needed to after all.

If it does make it in then it should be as something that makes sense for Molly to think of and take. Potentially something that interacts with what she already has.
Then that's a reason not to have combat charms.

There aren't many balanced options left for straightforward combat that aren't already in some Charmset, I think?

Another idea would be a Pentacle and Scepter like Charm for Martial Arts.
Lowering cost or difficulty of using the Fivefold Styles or just Shih-Arts in general.
Buffs might be neat.

Unlike most hells Molly's has civilization in a positive cooperative sense as a theme.

Something like a buff that everyone in a group gets based on its size, up to a cap, maybe?

That could get broken quick but if the buff drops as the opposition kills/disables people then it wouldn't be unbeatable, or particularly hard to figure out a reply to.

The issue is - we can address those issues. We cannot address them with a 100% guarantee that any and every action any enemy takes is guaranteed to fail, but we cannot do that in regards to any threat. We can, however, make the risk increase negligible. Right now we have the following layers either already in place, or possible to set up:
1) Obfuscation of the clone/original identity. BMI makes us indistinguishable from our clone, presence-wise, so the enemy can almost never be certain which is which. If it becomes known that clones cannot use active charms (something which can be faked to an extent), then Nemesis could arrange a simultaneous attack on us and all our clones, to find which one responds with active charm use. IDU makes it even harder to determine who is who.

2) Suicide contingencies, such as Magnanimous Warding Glyph, and spirit-controlled and possessed. In the event a fight looks unwinnable and unshakable, the clone should be able to die by their own hand. This means that the clone has to be knocked out, the contingencies disabled, and likely the cybernetic possessing spirits exorcised in one turn. As per point one, such an attack pattern has to be simultaneous against all our clones and our original body

3) magical protections such as prodigies and splendors. The above mentioned coordinated overwhelming attack has to also overcome whatever magical equipment we equip the clones with.

4) Molly's passive abilities, which the clones share.

At this point, it's much easier to read Molly's mind directly, or even kidnap her directly.

What about periodically stabbing the shadow with the Sword?
I mean, in principle this could work, I guess, once we learn Anduriel van do this IC.

Wait until DP reveals Civilization, House of Law, the first of our Court's Martial Arts, which our brother is currently learning.

So, separately from the charmset we are devising (the comments about that I'll address in a separate post), how about this:
Twin Suns Illuminated Throne •••••
The Yozis do not know what they have wrought. They sought biddable champions wearing gilded collars, gestalt-reflections of their own magnificence. But the Green Sun Princes are more than their makers ever anticipated. Within them sleeps a greater power than the titans' own: the power to transcend Yozi nature and be reborn. A new era is at hand. In it, Creation will see the birth of new Primordialss, backed by the power of Solar Exaltation.
System: The Infernal gets access to Solar charm set. She buys Solar charms at 5 XP per dot level. In order to actually make use of them, she has to pay 5 essence first. For the remainder of the scene she is no longer considered a Creature of Darkness and can benefit from the solar charms she purchased so far in addition to her own normal charms. Double excellencies are not allowed.

This is directly and far superior to abyssal version, because Infernal exalted are supposed to, in the end, be more.

I want this just for the obscene four boss stages this would give Molly. Picture the following:

1. After a long grueling battle, you have finally overcome Molly's battleship-armor-plate-like Soak... and then she goes Shintai.
2. Somehow, probably by throwing a couple MOABs or a few hundred mooks, you've been able to whittle down her new, fresh Health track and even more obscene Soak... and then she stands back up with The City Still Stands.
3. After losing more supernatural elites than you've gained in the last century, you bring her down again... and then Molly goes Super Saiyan: Unbound Eschaton Shintai color.
4. You've thrown pretty much all your heavyweights into her all-consuming maw, but at last you have slain an Exalted... BOOM! Final Ray of Light descends to break your heart.

Secret Stage: You drop a nuke on her to end it once and for all, and Splintered Gale Incarnation means you'll have to do this all over again, and again, and possibly again.

Odin is the one who suggested that we come here in the first place. Better to meet his people for an info dump and whatever else before moving forward.
[x] Pay a visit to the adress 'Donar' gave you if you should ever pass by Boston. Why does Monoc Security run a bakery anyway?

Someone once said that Five Cities' charms should have something reflecting our industrialized magitech prowess. I shall humbly suggest a seed of idea for further consideration - brackets denote optional elements:

Thousand Hands of Iron Unleashed ●●(●)
Within Five Cities wonders of artifice are constructed not by individual artisans, but in great halls filled by industrial machinery of terrific potency. With a gesture and expression of will, an Infernal can summon a shard of that potency wherever she threads.
System: Before making a crafting roll to create mundane items or minor magical items, Infernal can spend 1 Essence to produce multiple copies of whatever item she's crafting, enough to be worth 1 Dot of Arsenal, Resources or other appropriate Merits. The crafting roll has +1 DC.
(Infernal can spend further Essence, up to 5 motes, to mass-produce items worth *Essence* Dots in appropriate Merits)

Actually shouldn't Hell-scry Charka allow us to detect Anduriel spying on us? Which is better then stoping him because it allows us to feed false information.

And you get a heart attack, and you get a heart attack, everyone get a heart attack!

But as much as I would love it, let's do what we came here for:

[x] Pay a visit to the adress 'Donar' gave you if you should ever pass by Boston. Why does Monoc Security run a bakery anyway?

Keep in mind you do have a Black Mirror Incarnation to keep from looking like 5% of a Darkhallow now.

Besides lying so he learns something untrue. A spy you know about is almost as good as a spy on your side.

Assuming you can bluff him that would be doable yeah, it is a pretty big ask when all you have for the task is excellency though.
