Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Nevermind he's not here so I just added it. We really don't need to enter war with only 5 essence.

[X] Plan Reinforcements v2
-[X] Activate BSM, Leadership excellency
-[X] Have Clippy look for tunnel maps
-[X] A trap's not a trap if you know it's there, meet the Red Court head on
--[X] Try to rally those vampires in outward-facing positions who you still know to be loyalists
--[X] Bring in some of your own fire teams from sanctuary, they might be trouble in public, but those tunnels should be private enough
---[X] Stay in Sanctuary for an hour and fifteen minutes for essence regen.

Yes it does. Allegiance is loyalty. You can have unwilling service or force compliance, but allegiance is like respect in that it's something you have and give but can't be forced.
Disagree.

Molly Letter vs Jerome's Willpower... key ability for the win, he believes you
COMMENTARY
Turns out that the more fucking around you do with Outsiders on an institutional level, the more opportunity you give them to get their claws into and suborn your organization.
Funny that.

Okay.
So we know that Adkins is apparently skilled in both Psychometry and Enchantment
Maybe something else as well.

These people are claiming to have driven Summer out of Vegas?
Yeah, I dont buy it.
Thats like having Iran claim to have driven the Soviet Union out of a disputed border area.

Lash only has Lore of Light 1.
Which is not good enough to sneak us into place, and the Reds have superhuman senses to boot.
I'd pass on the stealth option, especially since the fallback option is combat.

I think we'll end up having to deploy forces in Vegas, but this is unlikely to be our final Vegas confrontation with Sandra, and I dont want to give her any warning for when we drop a short platoon of cyborg troops on her head.
So I'd pass on bringing troops into these tunnels either.

Which leaves us with diplomacy.
Also, Demonic Primacy gives Molly advantages in social against Red Court vampires.

[X] Plan Burning out rats
-[X] Have Clippy look for tunnel maps
-[X] A trap's not a trap if you know it's there, meet the Red Court head on
--[X] Bring in some of your own fire teams from sanctuary, they might be trouble in public, but those tunnels should be private enough
---[X] Bring in troops in environmentally sealed suits and set fire and smoke at all entrances to the tunnels. Today you will get Sandra and cut out the heart of the local Red Court in one stroke
---[X] Before entering the tunnels activate Transcended Lord of Flies to become immune to environmental damage.

@DragonParadox
Is this viable, or would it take too long to gather the right equipment in our World?
It isnt.
You have no idea of the extent of the tunnels. They are parts of Vegas sewer infrastrucure

That would take about four hours to rustle up, whether that is too long is up to you guys to judge.
It wouldnt work anyway.
The tunnels in question go for multiple kilometers in multiple directions, and are part of Vegas sewer infrastructure for controlling floodwater. You cant seal them off; manholes connect down there

Here's what the RL tunnels look like

Isn't the Dragon in the tunnels right now with Sandra at his bed?
She's in the vicinity I think.
No idea if she's literally by his bedside; dude has sufficient loyalists that access to his bedside might still be restricted.
And thats assuming he's bedridden, and not simply awake but discombobulated/weakened.

It's day.
I'm happy if the Reds try to scurry off into the sunlight.
Sunlight? Literally hundreds of miles of connecting tunnels under Vegas.
You underestimate the scale of the issue here; to quote one local Vegas newspaper:
Southern Nevada's three-month monsoon season, which runs through September, pours down most of the valley's annual rain, according to the Regional Flood Control District.

The hundreds of miles of tunnels were designed to mitigate flooding on surface streets, sending it through washes and tunnels into retention basins. Moving at speeds up to 30 mph, the water is funneled east into the wetlands before making it to Lake Mead, the district said.

‘Never come back’: Flooding highlights dangers to homeless living in tunnels

More than 500 people live in the city’s tunnels, but they aren’t a safe shelter, and can prove deadly.
Just like Chicago's Undertown is a very big place IRL, the tunnels of Vegas are huge and widespread.
Your plan isnt really feasible.

This was the scene-
Holding Clippy in front of your face you ask her to show you Sandra and with one final look at the face of your foe you ask: "Where is she now?"

At the foot of the Dragon's bed waiting for her plans to unfold above.
Why would the Crown say at the foot of his bed if it meant anything else at all? It hasn't been long odds are she's still down there with him.

Wasnt that question asked after the half-Reds/dhampirs were sent out?
*checks*
Yes it was. So she might not have had access to his bed previously.

Plus, his being crippled doesnt mean he's bedridden.
The Rampire we just talked to didnt say if he was.

Okay. Why does that matter?
Because the Dragon is an arcane link to his patron, the Sin-Eater, who guards the Seal.
And so her plot will appears to require either prolonged, unrestricted access to the Dragon himself, or samples of the Dragon's flesh and body.

Which is frankly what Im expecting to happen here.
That we remove her access to the Dragon himself, but she escapes with fresh enough samples(blood, hair, nail clippings, whatever) that she can still go ahead with her plans.

You think diplomancy is more likely to stop her escaping when she has thrall vamps everywhere?

No, I think turning the majority of vampires in the base against her at the same time Molly is coming for her face will make her run.

Remember that her thralls are still in the minority; they are just united.
If whatever her plan is can be accomplished with blood/hair/nails/fingers instead of the full Dragon, she has no reason to stand and fight this war party.

We need that interdimensional phone. Alright @Yog you should edit the plan so we dont go into combat with the Dragon with only.. 5? essence. We need to stay for at least an hour, preferably and hour and 15min.
Why 5? We have 5 right now. Leadership excellency is 1. We spend two to travel inwards. I assume it'll take at least fifteen minutes for a fireteam to be assembled and briefed - we didn't exactly plan for this. So, 7 essence at minimum.

And we don't exactly have time to spare.

RATIONALE
Im voting for moving immediately, because she just sent the loyalist dhampirs out.
Which means there's a window of opportunity for Sandra to do shit that we might want to spoil.

And we have diplomatic resources to deploy.
Molly has Demonic Primacy, which means she wields a significant social advantage at base over most Rampires and half-Reds. And to her, we get to add Lash as backup in Apocalyptic Form + Lore of Longing.

Hence I think we should take advantage of that.

Crown question at the entrance to the tunnels should provide a snapshot of the current locations of the Red Court members and the defenses as on a map, allowing us to plot our route, and telling us how many opps we might face.
And should proc +2 Essence regen for the new scene.

Lash can use Flesh 2 Manipulate Nerves freely without cost to herself or penalty to the subject to increase Dex and Perception or to modify wound penalties. All for the duration of the scene.
She can do this for the entire party, given fifteen seconds or so of advance prep.

And she can activate Apocalyptic Form with a successful Faith roll at DC6, which allows her to soak Lethal damage with Stamina. It will also add to her char sheet +4 Soak, +2 Dex, +2 Charisma, +2 Appearance, +1 Manipulation for the scene.

Lydia can activate Marble Flesh for free with a Willpower roll.
Which increases her base soak for free, from 2 to 6.

Im generally expecting Sandra to have a version of Get Me The Hell Out of Here(Conveyance 3) running to teleport her out to a Vegas safehouse, whether a precast spell or just an expendable item. Something along the line of the trump that let Cowl survive the Darkhallow, or let Kattrin almost survive getting killed the first time.

So I dont really expect to corner her here. These guys are expendable to her mission.

We have 9 right now. I meant we'd have 6 left, forgot BSM is free. We have 9 right now, leadership exellency would cost 1 along with two for travel and DP said we have attack teams on standby so I don't think it would take even 15min.

the Dragon is the anchor point, the weak point of the Sin Eater and the Sin Eater is the one holding back the Gate. Simply killing him wouldn't do it, but access to an unconscious victim, one who cannot defend itself would be so much more, so much worse.
Worth noting that just killing the Dragon COULD work to cut off the attack vector. It's a diplomatically fraught approach, but has merit as far as the actual Outsider threat is concerned

Also, when we get a chance and can afford the essence, I'd love to ask the Crown "How can Nemesis itself be attacked, instead of just its pawns"

The most thorough plan. If we don't use our troops underground then I doubt we'll be using them anywhere else in Vegas though.
