Well that point was enough to give me an attack of indecisiveness. I literally forgot about that.To delay the power spike offered by either of the SC options because we would rather spend our SC elsewhere, is a blatant reversal on our previous stance that we're in so much danger we MUST take the immediately powerful option. Devotion does not equal the level of power offered by aspect 4 Eldritch, a level 2 technique, a level 1 technique, and 20k xp. It simply is incomparable. It's extremely greedy to turn down that level of immediate safety because we'd rather have devotion in the mid-long term. I'd rather empower Penelope than pass up on both of these.
I've added an addendum to my plan to purchase angelic should we have enough for that but not enough for eldritch. Lealope I believe is adding an addendum to purchase eldritch, should we gather the requisite SC. The magic of compromise, the efforts of the voters will determine who gets the power. Should we reach further beyond and gather enough SC, Sol earns his own power. If he doesn't, Penelope takes the spotlight.
Well great. Now the two popular plans are the exact same and choice is entirely taken away from the voters.

It's actually impossible for us to know how valuable this EFB is without knowing how Eldritch and Arcanum stack. But it's entirely possible Devotion + our existing and new XP actually is more raw power, if you do the math. That is how efficient exponential cost / value stacking works - an extra 10k is basically just +1 level at some point. It also seems unlikely that the challenges presented by advanced empowerment will be so drastic as to require the potential Arcanum 16 (!) level combat granted by a fully stacking Eldritch Immersion, as even without it we can hit Arcanum 10 combat as long as we're allowed to spend our XP.
I still don't agree with any plan that invests enormous amounts of XP and SC into a character that may be vulnerable to being co-opted by the Lamb. If we don't have an XP spending point and only get the free Aspect levels ASAP, we should just coordinate to vote for Eldritch Immersion if we have the sc. But if Eldritch doesn't stack with Arcanum without specific techniques, this is a mere sidegrade and may not be worth the SC even in principle. As I said before, we need much more info to make an informed decision here.

So, to be clear, your argument is that if the Eldritch aspect doesn't stack with Arcanum for combat (as is the worst case), then Eldritch Immersion's presumed build of Arcanum 6, Eldritch 5, Hermes 3 (for a combat level of Arcanum 9) is inferior to, let's see..It's actually impossible for us to know how valuable this EFB is without knowing how Eldritch and Arcanum stack.
