Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

These arent being held by Molly though; they are being given to people weaker and less resilient than she is.

The point is always whether the juice is worth the squeeze.
There's a balance to be met between useful enough to be given out and make a difference but not valuable enough to pull an unending series of top-tier interlopers.

Think Thanos coming for the Soul Stone; he wouldnt have gotten out of bed for an Iron Man suit, or even MewMew.
That's kneecapping ourselves. The question is - does equipping our mortal companions result in a net increase on our ability to act in accordance to our agenda? If yes, then we should equip them.

[X] Acceptance, you always knew you were going to be a target and you are working on getting allies in your own way
-[X] And excitement. The battles to come might be terrible indeed, but they were always coming, the forces arrayed against Creation lurking Outside. If you get a chance to make new lifelong friends and to ensure that a new dawn comes? You can live with that.

Can we have some solars please. We need people to keep up with molly.

Also if the war for existence is starting and it is going hot by unleashing exalted. Then we need to acquire the fundamental infrastructure of the internet and create a god of the net, before someone else can.

I am willing to burn on of our favours to mab for that. Acquire control of global internet infrastructure.
With exalted craft we can make mortals (or near mortals) relevant, at least somewhat. Solars are unliekly. Lorewise we might be able to get another infernal, and maybe an abyssal if we organize an expedition deep into NeverNever. Alchemicals are a very distant possibility, as are Dragon Kings and Dragonblooded. Various demigods could be a thing (I still hope to boost Olivia's bloodline power).

Narratively most exalted won't faces the challanges that we did and as a result won't grow as quickly. If they do they will become visible to us easily as their actions will have ripples just like ours will.
Thats the thing though. If they are enemies, and some will be, they will grow at the speed of plot.

If Dragonparadox wants them to challenge Molly, he will stat them appropriately.

Discovered Path of Soulfire
● Soul Sheen: the magician invests a spark of Soulfire into their creations filling them with creative genius Cost up to 3 Essence to convert each point of Essence into an Automatic success in any magical crafting project. If the Exalt does not have enough Essence they may take levels of 'Virtual' Aggravated damage instead. This damage does not inflict penalties but will kill if one of them fills the final square in the Health Track
How does buying this compare with just buying more crafting dots?

I don't think they will. We will get some sign of their growing power, just like how we couldn't hide our actions. We just have to be vigilant.

Right forgot it was a Key ability.
It's still 2 dice (w/ Excellency) vs 3 successes, though at a higher essence cost.

The higher essence cost would matter more if we didn't have a ridiculous regeneration with our bleach baths.

The real cost is paying Odin for teaching us. He hasn't mentioned what he'd want for it.

I doubt it'll be free.

[] Fear, even the implication of more powers like yours abroad and loose fills you with dread. What might be done with them by one less restrained than you are?

It also makes crafting rolls impossible for us to botch. Since we don't subtract 1s. Of course botching a crafting roll when using soulfire would be amazingly unlikely in any case, but I imagine that the botches lead to super bad results.

We could always bind lash to an objects and use her for lessons

I think a peer for Molly would actually be nice. Doesn´t have to be a (Solar) exalted.
Lydia isn´t really a peer, that might be because she is younger and a little naive/sheltered, she often tags along whatever Molly is doing at the moment. And at least for the moment her story seems arc seems quite finished.
Seeing another exalted interacting with the DF world, focusing on own their stuff most of the time and interacting with Molly only so often would be a nice change of pace.

I assume you mean seconds test. Does not seem to make sense to me otherwise.
No, that one means exactly what it says. No typos.
They were testing the defenses against various forces, and had already tried fire, lightning, and concussive force. Then they tested them against ice, and the tires gave out in ten seconds.

The first dot of the Soulfire Path looks nice enough, but I really wonder about the additional dots. That's where things would get interesting.

[X] Acceptance, you always knew you were going to be a target and you are working on getting allies in your own way

There's little point in argueing, if the world is changing we can only go with the stream, not against it.
And we seem to be ahead of the crowd, so that will remain an advantage.

Santa, we have not been reactive nor have our foes been underestimating us. The Will of Kakuri, the plans of Nemesis, and an actual Walker have fallen to us because we've been very proactive about ganking their asses.

Not to mention, it sounds like you want to be a close ally of us Odin, which I would too if I had Ethniu looking to murder my boss and possibly me by sheer proximity, but you're reaalllly making it sound like we need allies to fight the Big Bad when it's you who needs us and our "blood sworn" allies (*cough* Michael) to save your ass if your foes really want you dead.

Santa's trying to make it seem like we need allies to fight the Big Bads now that we're in the big leagues, while carefully ignoring the fact that we've been in the big leagues for a while and we've seen it's the Big Bads who need allies (gunmen for the Will and whamp bodyguards for the Walker) in order to stand a chance against us.

Still interested in more allies of course, but it's good to remember that Odin would want us as a blood sworn ally much more than we want him, given his foes and our strength relative to them and him.

The Will came to us, prepared for fighting us and we noticed his presence indirectly and only then reacted, which resulted in him striking first and kidnapping our crew, if you remember.
We won because we called a lot of allies/mercs and because we were much tougher than even an Elder Akuma expected.
As for Nemesis, we learned of this almost incidentally, through Lara and then some Crown-questions.

The actual Walker also appeared as a total surprise to us.

We are not proactive, just very good at finishing dangerous situations.

More craft dots are over all better even on a bad roll out DC average another success per roll per dot, without being an essence sink. Not that getting both would not be better

Constructive Convergence of Principles Discounted by a further 3 XP
I know that it's tempting to delay getting Constructive Convergence of Principles in hopes of this happening, but it's important to keep in mind that every time this happens is also a missed opportunity a time that we would have made a wonder of the age if we already had the charm.
