Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

His name isn't actually Rudolph," Alina explains, even as she gives her sister an approving look for the joke. "But we nudge things sometimes, to keep old spirits going."
Not to be that guy, but does learning about the existence of the spirit behind Rudolph and that the old gods go out of their way to help keep the spirits actively connected to the world count as a secret for essence purposes?

"Stranger thou art, on another day trespasser I'd call thee," the spirit's voice is like the sound of show burdened trees cracking, breaking, giving way to the endless tundra. "But tis a rude jest to summon a stranger onto familiar paths to race and then by their use outmatch them." Cold blue myrth dances in his aura, for the moment pushing back the rage and sorrow so much apart of him and thus he sets his antlers behind you and pushes
I like his style; if we need to summon spirits for something we should keep him in mind.

[] Demonstration of TTC 2 Points
This does have a cost. People seeing our charms are presumably going to learn about how they work to some extent.

It's likely not that risky because actively contesting a charm is difficult under ExWoD, but working around it is less complicated.

This is especially important because we don't actually know what he'll learn and the default assumption should never be that it'll definitely be useless and incapable of causing problems.

I don't think the risk is too high to be worth it, but treating this sort of thing as free is a mistake.

Just out of curiosity @DragonParadox would it be possible to get these guys as buffed up trainers instead, possibly for 7 points?

That would leave us with without any change from the transaction, and be helpful for advancing our alchemy under our current AP constraints.

The buff to crafting speed is nice, but we barely even use the skill as it is despite having the option to append it to regular actions so it feels less valuable to me. We haven't used some of our recipes yet, and we don't carry any habitually* even when they're obviously useful.

Getting new stuff that we'll actually be willing to vote for seems more helpful.

* Actually, on this note, could we potentially set recurring background stuff up with a vote? If we can choose to whip up a healing potion as part of prep for any given action then voting to have some small load out on hand at all times would make us more likely to actually remember to use alchemy fully.

I'm thinking small batches like always having a couple health potions, one speed, and maybe a factory fog in a purse or something.

[X] Knowledge for Service

Seems like a decent enough plan.

Anyway, we really need to find some way to use that Gossamer. I felt it's kinda wasted just sitting there in our inventory.

  1. Essence regen added
  2. As for getting the Kabouter to teach, mortals I assume, they can do it, but they are Winter Fey so they would not be particularly nice about it. The idea of taking breaks is kind of alien to them and the notion of doing less than your best in any craft makes them quite angry
  3. Recurring background stuff makes sense sure

How stringient is the "do not reveal them" clause? Could we, for example, use them to help rebuild Last Station? Because Porter is going to notice.

That is unfortunately out of bounds, with most people you could ask them to deliberately not notice things and dance around the truth, but an elemental is part of their domain, he would notice automatically.

The reindeer god sounds like he might have been one for the Sami peoples. No wonder he's mostly anger and spite. Would be a parallel to Emma-O and the Ainu then

You are not going to be doing crafting here in the Nevernever, Molly will be working on the other side in the material world where materials for tanks and such exist. The whole point of coming here was to shorten the distance to Hel's Warehouse.
Yeah, but nothing is stopping the brownies from popping over with us to watch. They are extremely good at hiding in the background.

We already give super coffee to some friends and family. Buff to crafting speed means that we can supply more people. Maybe Lydia could use the extra time to help adulting also make up for all the time we ask her to help with our problems.
Talking to the spirit: Molly

If he is a CoD then shouldn't Demonic Primacy of Essence apply?

Important point - the craft buff is almost certainly going to become obsolete the moment we get our kingdom. Because we'll most likely have access to the inhabitants of our realm for help.

Yeah, if only that was reflected in the charms. You get complete nonsense like Predict a disaster charm or like make a warstrider from their Anima charm.

Even in Exwod, mechanically speaking, Solars do almost everything Infernals do but better.
Do Solar's get there own versions of Mind-hand-manipulation , hollow-mind-possession or fomori making charms?

Unless we're planning to do our actual crafting here without using TTC at all, a demo costs us nothing.
A demo where he gets to sit there and focus on observing us, possibly while we deliberately make it easier to see what we're doing, is different than trying to pick up what we're doing on the sly while we're working on a specific task.

We already have significant spare capacity we aren't using. Doubling out effective supply when we're barely scratching the surface of what we could do if we cared to isn't adding much real value.
