If they go after you, you'll tut in disappointment about how they focused on defeating you instead of saving people before reverting your victims back into humans and flying away on Iskander.

If they focus on the macguffin, you'll congratulate them on being true heroes and revert your victims back into humans. This time, however, you'll give Ryder a little kiss as a "victor's prize" before flying away on Iskander.
so what's stopping them from splitting up considering there's... how many pups are there actually I can't remember? there's definetly enough to divide between fighting us and going after the macguffin

If they go that route we base the result after which one they prioritize. Also we are playing to a narrative here in that this episode is gonna have an Asop where sometimes you have choose between what you want (take down the pupeteer) and what is right (focus on saving the victems). I suspect they'll play a long at least a bit.

Or maybe Merlin let's his ego get in the way. Tries to take us head on and screws things up enough that they have to pick one and commit. Calling Merlin out would allow for a double asop for the episode.

What a great evil scheme! Good old fashioned super villainy with no real long term plans, just spur of the moment fun! Like Satan intended!

What I'm thinking is that Johanna usually holds the macguffin during the fight, sometimes passing it to a nearby Allay or Vex to spice things up.

Then, near the end of the fight, Johanna tosses tge macguffin to one of her minions and makes a run for it, with the minion going in the opposite direction. Then, the Paw Patrol will be "forced" to go after either Johanna or the macguffin.

At least, if the dice gods allow it. :V

Would be hilarious if she dominated the fight so much she wins and has no freaking clue what to do.

[X] Plan: Island battle

Much better for ensuring an escape with our flying ride. Always pick the terrain that maximizes your advantages. Izkander owns the skies, and not all of the pups are suited for water.

Now the question is if we're at the trainyard... Which gets to ride a train to escape. The Vex/Allay or Johanna... Or maybe we steal two trains and escape down two different track directions.

For the train yard What if we use the trains to make a maze then use the maze as our battle ground? Then they have to deal with opportunity costs if they want to flight us. Every pup throwing down is one less sweeping the maze for the "magic" item.

I don't see much difference who to turn, but aren't we going to steal something at all? I thought the reason we should be chased in the first place as a criminal is because we are thieves. Are we really not even going to try to play on their heroic feelings in the process and between trying to stop another golden statue being stolen and saving a city dweller?

...I'm sure if Iskander does it again he'll be called a "big magpie" because he likes to steal "shiny things".

[X] Plan: Look Out Pups.

Duke William of, if you can add the kidnapping moment at the end when between choosing to run after us, stop the theft, and saving the townspeople the Puppy Patrol has to make a "hard choice".

It's just that this whole scheme makes no sense unless we do something really criminal. I still want to melt these statues down later and make them into statues of our whole team to then put it downtown and mock the rest of us. It would be the perfect proof of our awesomeness.

We're a preformance type villian. The show and spectacle is why we do this.

I know, but I think that if we don't do something to motivate the pups, they'll just end up waving us off. In fact, the only reason we should be caught is to "create controlled chaos.

If we steal something in the process, it's like "paying us for a job well done," and for the pups another reason why we need to be caught.

Have we been stopped? Well done puppies! You really managed to stop my criminal scheme!

In general, I think we should become as unpredictable as we are predictable. Create different schemes in the process of which, as a reward, they will have the opportunity to stop our crime (theft) and if they succeed, perhaps even somehow encourage them. Perhaps create badges with the words "winners"? Chocolate ones, yeah.

You realize the current scheme involves actual kidnapping and seeming danger for the victims right?

I understand that, but it doesn't bring us any potential profit and it's weird.

In the sense that you could say that the reason for our crime wouldn't be to commit the crime itself, but to mock the puppies. That is, our motivator for the kidnapping and threats are the Puppy Patrol itself. Do I need to say what kind of problems this could lead to? People, for the most part, are ungrateful creatures and will blame puppies for all their troubles. I don't want to see that scene and would rather have our villain be an epic ghost thief than a crazy "doing what she does at the whim of her left heel" (or "a cranky kid who made a mess of the room to get her parents' attention").

Eventually the puppies will be ready for us to always use our crimes to steal and try to stop us wherever possible.

I just don't want Puppeteer to be a pointless villain who doesn't have any purpose... at least in the eyes of others. They must always have a reason for catching us besides our desire to bring chaos to this quiet little town.

[X] Plan: Crazy train
I like the crazy train plan.
What if we add some under schemes to the plan, like at each location we do something suitably villainous that will only hit after the current plan is done.
-[] Katherine "Katie" Marston: The owner of the local pet salon.
--[]For example, replacing all the pet shampoos with a food coloring mix.
-[] Thomas Kinder: The mailman of Adventure Bay.
--[] Maybe make it so all the mail somehow gets redirected to the puppy patrol.
-[] Daniel "Daring Danny X" May: Adventure Bay's local daredevil. No relation to James May from Top Gear.
--[] I don't have any idea for this guy.
These are just ideas though.

Potential write-in on the fight location: any reason we can't stage our grand finale in their own Lookout? Imagine the dawning horror as they solve our last riddle, only to realize that they have been tricked, bamboozled into running all over the city and leaving their most precious place vulnerable.

We can even use the opportunity to mess with them a little more, rearrange their furniture and stuff, steal their vehicles again. It'll be grand.
