Do we have GM confirmation that Mesoplanet 05 needs to be done this turn?
Do Atraxas plus advisors think that the allotted forces will win the Chaos fight?

Everything else looks good to me. There are a few changes could be made without making things worse, but there are no changes I know of that would make things better. :)

1) Its not assumed that this is the last turn for 05, but that it will become consistently more difficult until its no longer possible by turn 12. However, this is dependent on how long the Conclave of Shogi can keep the other forge worlds at bay, so it could fluctuate from having a buffer of 5 turns to being required to do it next turn.
2) Its assumed that it is likely to see a total defeat and retaliation with only 6000 men vs astartes forces. Relative base bonus array:
Private Army: 140
Astartes: 460
The warband further has skilled psykers, daemon engines and working Archeotech from the Dark Age so assume that their actual power is significantly higher.

On the other hand, Primordial Arrays covereth a multitude of sins and the modified base array (before equipment) would be like this:
Astartes: 460-230=230
Private Army: 140+230=370

And that's before getting into Harkar's Legendary Navy bonus and the DAoT weapon Araahal effectively grants, or the fact that Daemons take -75% instead of Astartes -50%.

You need to keep in mind that Atraxas's Advisors simply lack the context for his raw bullshitium so "do they think he can do it" isn't a super helpful metric @Robinton. They didn't think he could make the space fortifications or the Matrioshka System either, and we did/will do that.

Took some WoG and decided that the DAoT explorations could wait a turn or two and decided to replace them with making significantly upgraded Calc Hearts for our personal use.

Logic for chosen Laws and Ingots is as follows:
Math-Obviously good for improving computers given the base of their function is arithmatic.
Balance-Makes using multiple synergize better, or possibly increases the cap of how many we can use (thus why I'm making 5)
Physics-Will help with running simulations and likely with any mechanical device tbh
Time-Lets calculations run "longer" in the same period of time

However, remember that the bonus is split evenly across all forces. So the more forces you have the less impressive that bonus becomes. With 3 of six units of the private army it would be 140+230/3 = 216 as the bonus becomes diluted by 3 units.

You need equal numbers to balance out that dilution, so if you apply it to around 3000 astartes, you would reduce the dilution to 1.5 in effect or half of the current. That becomes around 290 for your forces.

However, also recall that Astartes have higher bonuses than your army does and will have secondary bonus sources.

So it's basically a question of if having an equal number of equally strong forces or a greater number of weaker (but not as much weaker as without the Array) forces. Or, theoretically, a smaller number of stronger forces, but that seems bad.

True but considering that a lot of their equipment bonuses are Daemon based (which gets hit even harder than they do) and that we can also drain their leaders into our leaders, I'm not too too worried. I mean, I could respec those actions if you think that's still not enough.

Are we allowed to take calculation hearts remotely for something like this? Or does this represent loading them on the ship outright and bringing them with us?

I don't think we can normally do that for our own, but since her car is taking the entire turn investing in the military action…

Are we allowed to ask the HomeWorld to build these for us? Or does that add a whole bunch of cost penalties for not finishing them ourselves?

Thats building them yourself, asking for that from the homeworld would spike the cost in favor for the hearts since the Homeworld would consider it strange and somewhat risky.

I will allow this due to just shoving two Hearts into the fleet and call it a day so those will just be with the fleet and will not improve the ground side of things but will help on the naval side.

Can Harkar use 2?
If we brought 3 more along, would Atraxas get another +3d? (We can't afford to, really, but we could grab 1-2 from Vulka.)

@The Froggy Ninja, could you write in Sus and Resource costs?

Is there any advantage to Atraxas having a few along?
I'm supposing she'll need sub-commanders and Atraxas will volunteer?
In order to be clear, this is the first real run of the combat system so there can be some variance/alteration of its systems during this event. I will say that I do not want things like the hearts be just a flat out win card, so I am probably going to change their function from Xd to a direct bonus to their rolls instead. Also, The subcommanders are going to be ground so unable to use hearts regardless.

Costs 10 Resources.

-[X][Learning] Nanoplague
--[X] Ask Vulka if she would like to help.
---[X] Assign 2 Calculation Hearts
Would you explicitly note that, if Vulka doesn't want to help, we should put those two Calc-Hearts on something else?
...
Or maybe loan 1 to her anyway and the other to Luraia Teral?

Resources: AssaultCost+10+10+25+25+10+50+100 = very cheap turn (unless Assault costs ~1k).
Suspicion after the -5 per Action discount: 20-10 +7 BalkavusAction = 17, so the turn goes from 20->37 which is acceptable.
Some upkeep increases also apply, but nothing devastating.

BalkavusAction: Any Action that generates Suspicion but takes multiple turns, costs 1 less Suspicion per full 10 DC progress completed.

So after we deal with the warband, what can we use the Cadia Favor for or is all of it go to having them help deal with the chaos attack?

There's a corner of my mind that wants to answer, "Let Atraxas analyze the Pylons."

(Chaos will panic and splat us if we take any moves that give us a reasonable path to eminent victory, but this is neither. Setting them up certain places - maybe.)

Better battle training for our troops might be another option.

Cadia's also practically the political leader of our Segmentium, so having 200 Favor with them can be leveraged to great effect in terms of getting other parties to go along with things we want, or improving our opportunities to do so.

But yeah, getting the Cadian Culture on tap for hybridization and helping our troops get additional traits/higher training quality would be nice.
