Strange Aeons: A 40k Xeno Governor Quest

It's more that Humanity is only able to provide Faith to Emps or Chaos, their faith can not go anywhere else. Emps because he is the only Human god possible, and Chaos because all young races barring the Exatari have innate chaos corruption in their souls.

The Exatari instead have C'tan gunk in their souls.

Hm. Interesting. Unfortunately, faith conduits would probably be full warp tech rather than veil tech wouldn't they?

Styles
Technically this is OOC information, but I feel that it's needed information to make the most of the Harmonization vote which is why I am posting it. Note that these values are subject change if I consider them too powerful or underpowered when they end up being merged.

Every 5 styles merged stacks the applicable values by 1, the cost of merging styles increases the more you merge in bulk or merging more styles into already merged styles. It is cheaper to merge many together at once than it is to do so piecemeal.

All stacking options are given a value at which they cap.

QM, as for people catching up (read me), can you please put the winning votes for all voting into a spoiler or something in the subsequent thread marked post? And/or just threadmark the posts where you call the votes (can do threadmarks purely for voting) as well as any posts you do that hold pertinent information to the main story. Thank you for your work so far though!

It's more a metaphysical lock than anything else. Its a fundamental aspect of what it means to be Human for their faith to be reserved for Emps or Chaos.
So we're bum out of luck unless the Golden Library lets us loophole that "only human god" rule the same way He does with Living Saints, Angyls and the Damned. What happens if (and I know we'll almost certainly never hit this point) we kill Chaos? Will all young species just be unable to worship anything (except humans and Big E if he didn't turn Tyrant before Chaos bit it) or will their souls unlock?

Oh, only humans are limited to Emps or Chaos. Any other young race is perfectly capable of worshipping anything they wish and their faith goes to that thing. Their issue is that Chaos is just too big for any gods to really form faster than Chaos slurps up their faith and any god that does form tends to be slurped up by the closest chaos daemon or god.

Living Saints are not intrinsically part of Emps, they bear fragments of his soul yes, but they are still at their core individual humans with their pre ascension personalities. Angyls are basically just Emps/Tyrant version of daemons, the Damned are more of an edge case where powerful souls that are connected to Emps can maintain themselves.

1) So what happens to humans if we kill chaos? Or chaos and Emps
2) Would any of our Veil tech be helpful for birthing Ynnead or is that too deep on the warp side?

3) Daemons are basically just gods, just subservient to/part of bigger gods. If learning the Golden Library will let us align the products of our godforging to Big E's anti-Chaos pro-Human flavor, that'd be very useful, regardless of if what we're creating technically counts as a god.
4) Are there Ork or Jokaero styles?

1) if you kill Chaos, nothing changes. If you kill Emps in the right way humans can create gods, if you dont then the mantle of Emperor just falls to the best candidate that would probably be Lion or Roboute and they would inherit the largest if not the full power of the Emperor. The Tyrant would also arise from killing Emps in a wrong way.
2) Way too deep in warp land
3) Emps will never accepts gods without changing his views on his own divinity first. The more likely outcome is you link them to the Tyrant than Emps
4) I am unsure of this question, could you explain this more.

I assume the question comes down to: "Can you learn anything (and merge it into your Harmonized style) from Orks or the Jokaero (ape-tinkers)?"
In this case, no both of them are too different to work. The orks dont have a style currently, you would need Beast or Krork for that. The Jokaero are too alien to provide a manageable style in the beginning.

New goal: Return the Krork to the galactic scene.
(Mostly joking.)

Is it possible to kill possibility of Tyrant within Emperor and increase its polar opposite possibility like Starchild aka his more positive aspects?

There is no such thing as the Starchild in this quest. In this quest Emps and the Tyrant are both currently active but locked in a stalemate of sorts within the same soul. If Emps dies, the Tyrant becomes a Chaos God, if Emps is healed the Tyrant becomes a warp reflection of Emps.

Hm. I wonder if we (or a Scholar of Trinity preferably) can survive a conversation long enough to make a "practical duck" argument. Because maybe he wasn't a god at one point, but he definitely is now.

Emps has absolutely convinced himself that he is Not A God, and pretty much nothing will change his mind on this topic.

What does warp reflection mean in this context?
Basically if Emps is healed, the Tyrant would exist but solely in the warp. Well the two would swap, but they would be the same person but different sides of the coin. The Redeemer and The Warlord so to speak.

The Tyrant is peer to Emps, and more than that its part of him. It's not a parasite or creation of the church or chaos. Its just the representation of the split between the Redeemer and the Warlord sides of Emps.
So the only way for the Tyrant to cease being a threat is for the Emperor to get some therapy and consolidate his self image. :V
The Jokaero are too alien to provide a manageable style in the beginning.
Does this mean that they're too weird at their core to ever produce one, or that they're too weird until we understand them better?
Emps has absolutely convinced himself that he is Not A God, and pretty much nothing will change his mind on this topic.
But if something were able to do so, I'd put money on "a super intelligent diplomat used to the Byzantine logic of soul gestalts caught up in grudges that span longer than most civilizations and equipped with being literally, definitionally correct" being the best for the job.

But what does that mean in practice? Is the Living Emperor not doing big scale warp fuckery while the Tyrant gets to do whatever without the stalemate distracting him? Is the Tyrant just an extension of the Living Emperor's will, but angrier?

What is difference between warp Reflection Tyrant and Chaos God Tyrant?
Mostly that the latter is lacking Emps to balance itself out. It no longer has any form of morality, which the Redeemer side of Emps is currently providing. Technically the Tyrant even without Emps would not be as bad as a normal Chaos God since it would still have some level of care for humanity, but in a very overlord style.

So the only way for the Tyrant to cease being a threat is for the Emperor to get some therapy and consolidate his self image. :V
There are a handful of ways, but most of them involve getting Emps to be healthy again. Another option is for Emps to renounce his godhood and the power it provides, throw that entire mess into the Tyrant, use the Custodians to shatter the connection it would have to Humanity and then be reborn. Emps however, would never do that due to the sheer amount of power loss inherent to that action.

Does this mean that they're too weird at their core to ever produce one, or that they're too weird until we understand them better?
Its more that they arent a real species, so their style is more the Old One's style which is far to complex to even approximate.

That is true, of anyone in the galaxy Emps would be most likely to be convinced by a Scholar of the Trinity or Roboute/Primarch.

But what does that mean in practice? Is the Living Emperor not doing big scale warp fuckery while the Tyrant gets to do whatever without the stalemate distracting him? Is the Tyrant just an extension of the Living Emperor's will, but angrier?
Closer to the second one. The Emperor and The Tyrant would both exist at once, but the face that would take precedence would be decided based on the situation at hand. The Emperor would be the one going around healing the dying and mutants, restoring humanity and so forth. While The Tyrant would be the one raining heavenly fire down on the foes of man across the galaxy via prayers.

So wait for the Eldar to finish summoning Ynnead turn 100 (possibly earlier if any of our actions speed up their progress somehow and preferably without the 13th Black Crusade going to shit and stopping it halfway through) and then get Homeworld on the horn to send someone to Big Bobby G's "is daddy a god" debate club.
