Strange Aeons: A 40k Xeno Governor Quest

We should do Improve the PDF only cost 100 Resource with a DC of 500 and with a upkeep of 25, so not bad for getting low Solar Auxillia level in equipment

But we are gonna need to raise our income fast to be able to keep with the upkeep of expanding our army, navy and defence

Without the info from the DAoT you cant upscale the protection of Meta shields no. With it you can blacklist/whitelist various metaphysical influences depending on how much you improve it. Generally 1 slot for each listing per 100 spent beyond the base 100.

1) Personal: Learning action
2) Generally its a doubling of output
3) No, with better LM and computers the Homeworld will crack Information in somewhere between 5 and 7 turns, and 1 to 5 turns for shield specs
4) Again blueprints tend to fall into the same issue that basic tech does, for any other Scholar it would be the only way to really make items. For Atraxas he already knows all the blueprints, but LM blueprints would provide upgrades to the designs that would be automatically included without altering DCs/Resource costs due to Atraxas being a Forge Scholar.

A LM blueprint for a Meta Shield would without the gellar field stuff not help all that much, Meta Shields are on the very edge of what even the LM understand about reality.
0) I see. So specifically Anti-Chaos fields that let our own psykers and blanks and faithful do their thing would be a 200 (2000 considering we'd want regional) blacklisting Chaos?
1) Nice, especially if we get the super computer, actually hitting 500 enough times to matter should be viable. How many Regionals would we need to cover an area large enough to evacuate the population into with enough room to set up a front line of defense/counterattack between them and the edge of the field?
2) Hm. Slightly suboptimal considering we would need two turns of output to fund a single regional blacklist, even assuming the high end 500 core output. Would access to Invoked Laws let us be more material efficient like using base Alloys over Resources?
3) So probably enough to start building regional Shields more than one turn before the eleventh hour, and maybe getting a turn of doubled Learning if Homeworld rolls well.
4) What kind of upgrades could we expect from LM designs for second gen Shields? Like, just less diffusion over scale or an extra blacklist slot or what?

0) More that you could blacklist Khornate daemons while whitelisting the super blank for the regionals
1) You would need 10 Regionals to cover the world, 1 would be enough for a civilian evacuation point. 4 would be needed to make a fighting line while under the influence of the shields without putting the shields in danger
2) Invoked Laws and Abyssal Ingots are naturally used in the production of Exatari Alloys, it's part of why the things are so hard to make and require large scale infrastructure to produce. Although some of the Laws/Ingots would have noticeable improvements to the Meta Shield effectiveness.
3) That seems about correct to me as well
4) that would be more fine control over the shields so an extra whitelist and blacklist slot for the Regionals and being able to condense desired influences with the personal one to gain normally unattainable buffs in greater numbers.

Have the Exatari ever found any STCs?
Yes and no, they find the things sometimes when they putter around on human worlds in places humans dont get to easily, but they dont realize what they find and just consider it broken junk. Atraxas has since told them to stop doing that now that he has been told what a STC is by the ad mech.

So what benefit to production would being able to make our own Invoked Laws be if the Awakening Chamber already produces the Alloys we'd use them for?

being able to apply stronger metaphysical aspects to completed projects, make Attuned Alloys instead of General which the Chamber/Core/Meta Forges produce naturally. Meta Alloys can be made passively but they are generalist so to speak instead of being unified in metaphysical aspects that can be managed with proper phase forging.

General Alloys can be used to produce any Exatari item just fine, but Attuned Alloys can provide special aspects to things. If you build a room out of Space Attuned Alloys you get more interior space for example.

Could we use favors to get them to send us some STCs when they find them?

I see.
1) How expensive is the step after Awakening Chamber, and is that also a simple doubling of output?
2) And would I be correct in assuming we could only have one facility tapping into the black hole, since we're not just spamming the cheaper Cores rather than spending 5x as much to upgrade it.
EDIT:
3) What would we need to do to get our hands on a verifiably supernatural holy artifact?
Could we use favors to get them to send us some STCs when they find them?
Or even just the location of STCs. We're already establishing ourself as Saint Adjacent, so pointing them in the direction of STCs would be a good way of gaining AdMech Favor.

1) After the Awakening Chamber you can expand in two directions depending on how you wish to go. Option 1 is to go for what the Exatari call a Wellspring which produces an absolutely stupid amount of base resources and energy or for the Phase Forge which allows for Attuned Alloys to be made with less effort but still requires a psyker. Of course both still do retain the alloy production this is just in addition to that. The Phase Forge leads to the Meta Forge as the final upgrade/capstone, while the Wellspring does not yet have a second level to it. A Meta Forge can in a location of sufficient power produce Attuned Alloys without needing a psyker on hand.

2) Pretty much multiple would only reduce the efficiency of all such systems. Technically you could probably fit several of the things but it would require a fair bit of effort on Atraxas' part to calculate the proper ratio to min max. Once you study the black hole which is going to be an action unlocked once you have a personal ship, another action will open for calculating such things.

That is doable for free, but it would produce Suspicion since how would you be getting that info in an Imperial acceptable manner.

We should contact the Forge Worlds and make deals with them, as they can give us a lot for STC, could be a good way to build up our world

1) Does each stage still only double the throughput until we hit Meta Forge Size Categories? Because, if so, I'm seriously impressed that Shezu produces more Weight than a black hole. Also, is it safe to assume the Wellspring won't be useful for Meta Shield production? Or does "base resources" mean "generic alloys"?
2) Will we have to finish the study action before we start building the Core, or would that just be for minmaxing?
3) Thus the "establishing ourself as Saint-Adjacent". Hopefully we can leverage what just happened into turning Nameria into a proper Living Saint once we figure out Big E's main Library. Speaking of…
4) What would we need to do to get our hands on a verifiably supernatural holy artifact? Or is the prophecy going to attract enough Sororitas attention they'll probably bring one anyway for the rumble?

1) yes, pretty much all the upgrades prior to Meta Forge or the Wellspring just double provided resources. Shezu is a Sapient Necron, her narrative weight upon the galaxy is greater than anything barring Great Crusade Era Emps. The Wellspring is more what allows the Exatari to be so frivolous with resources since they can just grab another few million tons of matter out of the either, but the Phase Forge and Meta Forge is whats needed for Exatari Alloys to be directly made.
2) Minmaxing would be something you could do after you plop the core down on the black hole, if you really want to squeeze all the juice possible from the metaphorical lemon.
3) You do not know Emps Library, and Nameria would deny anything approaching saint hood for herself. She knows too much to even entertain the idea.
4) The Prophecy plus Nameria is going to end up dragging the Golden Spirit to Shogi. You will be able to meet with their Mausoleum Titans.

1) Well, hopefully we'll end up with the higher end of black hole production, since we're severely unlikely to make back the deficit of upgrading past Chamber in time to matter.
2) So we're probably on track to get the core and chamber on turns 6 and 7 then. Good.
3) I'm considering the long term. It's becoming exceedingly obvious that we're not going to stop doing impossible things, so we'll need to become sanctioned. I figure saving Shogi and when we eventually find and crack Big E's Library will be a good start to being so obviously "Chosen of the Omnissiah" that knowing where STCs are will be considered less weird than all the stuff we've already done.
4) My Google-fu is failing me on both those terms but it sounds like a good place to start researching non-Ruinous anti-chaos meta technology.

1) Atraxas will be able to confirm what will be the result once he gets to the black hole
2) I believe so
3) that is fair
4) everyone in Erimyst is an original creation for this quest, I have reshuffled a good amount of background stuff regarding how the Imperium reacts to the Eye and whatnot.

Rad.
1) I assume they're Titans somehow running on dead Saints or something? Very goth.
2) how many Resources could an Imperator powered Wellspring provide? Because planet bound facilities are significantly cheaper and we probably don't need full black hole level production for boosting the economy and trading for exotic samples.

1) The Golden Spirit is very divergent from the normal order, they actually pilot a titan legion in battle. They also are very close with the Manticore Knight astartes chapter, from whom they have learned how to bind the souls of their fallen sisters to the Titans.
2) Around a 500 per turn or so, Wellsprings are less efficient due to them producing bulk matter, compared to Meta Forges. So it's not a perfect linear change between the complex materials and basic stuff. Black Holes so to speak have a very deep well compared to pretty much anything else, so they are more efficient for the same value.

1) Neato. And Definitely Not Heresy!
2) Well, 500 per turn is nothing to sniff at. That's still enough to buy a chunk of Blackstone rarity exotics every two turns, or a major boost to the economy if we can launder it effectively.

Erimyst Information
Subsectors: 4
System per Subsector: 20
Sector Planet Classifications: Argi, Mining, Industrial, Forge, Fortress, Shrine

System Count (Only one planet is truly colonized per system)
Agri: 22, 4 of which are death worlds
Mining: 19, 5 of which are death worlds
Shrine: 1
Industrial: 17, 4 of which are death worlds
Forge: 11, 4 of which are death worlds, one of them has a warp rift that spawns endless waves of creatures
Fortress: 10, 3 of which are death worlds

Each Subsector has roughly equal numbers of planet types, barring the Gateway Subsectors. The Gateway Cadia is directly opposite the Gateway Solar that Shogi is in.

Current Events
Religious schism: 7 cults/churches within Erimyst
Tombworld Awakening: Local Necrons have been seen going on adventures on the death worlds

Major Astartes Chapters
Manticore Knights
Lineage: Unknown
Founding: 21st (unknown what was done)
Skill: High/Peak Astartes
Psykers: Yes, few in number but the more skilled in the sector by far
Standoffish in the extreme but have a very close relationship with the Golden Spirit order. Bind the souls of their fallen to totems and use them to accelerate the training of the new brothers of the chapter. Based on a deathworld that they have been making more deadly over the millennia. The best doctors in the sector and possibly beyond, extremely loyal to the Imperium, the first chapter master banished an Honored daemon of Slaanesh solo.

Pathfinders
Lineage: Roboute
Founding: 21st (altered to express more psychic power and aspects)
Skill: Peak Astartes/Impossible
Psykers: More than not are psykers and are extremely powerful
They are more or less typical Ultramarines that simply have super powerful psykers that have invented a special form of technomancy and they training in every weapon but prefer melee to all other options.

Anomalies
Black Hole in Gateway Cadia
A binary system where the stars sing
Several asteroid belts of note: 2 have ultra glass, 1 produces an ion shield over the inner system
A fancy world that has six dust rings spinning in opposing directions
A world that throws solar flares at passing ships
A star that collapses shields nearby it, another that cripples warp travel in and out of the system, one that makes warp travel extremely chaotic, three stars that incite mutation if anyone is in the system and another star has something nibbling it (C'tan shard)
A star that makes warp travel extremely deadly in or out of system
a very weird red giant that sometimes supernovas and then reverts, psykers die if they enter the system, outside report something screaming through the warp
A world that mind controls anyone of weak will that passes it by
A world that has super bizarre gravity that has forced several ships to land or otherwise be destroyed

Lifeforms
A world that is a giant single plant that grew to the size of a planet
A world that is a single microbe colony
Asteroid belt that has DAoT plantlfe on it
void born parasites that can infest people to control them live and can eat through spaceship hulls
void born forest that entangles ships
Void Kraken nesting in a DAoT space hulk (the Ad Mech is pissed about this, the Kraken have DAoT infused skin so extremely tough)
small ork waagh in the sector (freebooters and an ork world that is contained currently by the Imperial Navy, currently being used as a training world for Chapters)
parasites that can control machinery and biology, they also live in space
insane super soldier somewhere in the sector, proven to be stronger than individual astartes

Technological/Xenos threats
Fra'al Battlecruiser located in sector, location generally known
damaged DAoT ship that is currently drifting in space, the Ad Mech has forbidden anyone from poking it after it obliterated an ark mechanicus.
Necron ships in various classes

Warp Dangers
Two chaos relics related to time in some fashion are currently at large in the sector
two worlds are currently dealing with psyker related problems
several ships have been lost to the warp and the warp is more unstable recently
2 warp storms have sprung up recently and are projected to last until Turn 20
several worlds have suffered an upsurge in madness related problems
several battlegroups have been lost to the warp
Subsector Left Path has suffered a massive upturn in madness issues
the Savager Warband exists
