Strange Aeons: A 40k Xeno Governor Quest

Part of the problem is that Emps isn't just the Transhuman Super Psyker he was during the early parts of the crusade. Due to a combination of the injuries he sustained, the general WTFness of the golden throne, and the sheer amount of condensed and twisted belief that's been dumped on him over the millennia he's not really the same kind of being anymore. It's not the rational, humanistic pre-fall wanderer, or the number obsessed, broken Great crusade emperor that you're interacting with. They're in there, but the twisted, brutal, jealous, paranoid tyrant that the ecclisarchy and the inquisition worship is the one that's been getting fed the most.

Thus why it's generally a better idea to talk to his panoply that retained more humanity and have them pass it up the chain.

Emps by the crusade was already highly xenophobic (understandable given the sheer amount of horrors in the stars)

The current mindbroken emperor?

No chance,he is more of a force of nature than a person

We get what we can of him, give to him what we must and the difference belongs to us and shogi

Yeah. Our best bet of ever making actual allies with the Emperor is basically doing what the canon Eldar did. Slowly work our way up the chain of his more human emanations and hope one of them convinces him to at least play nice. Maybe something with the Star Child if he's real.

Would it not be better to try and get Guilimans trust? If he's awake. Or just more humans in general?

And more than that. Is anyone in our retinue even aware we are a xenos?

Do we care about them trusting us? We haven't decided to trust them.

WoG is summarized as "If we accelerate his awakening by being personally involved he'll likely reflexively squash us, it's for the best to let things there go as they will and let him approach us."

And more than that. Is anyone in our retinue even aware we are a xenos?

Only if you define the Necron and the Custodes as part of our retinue, otherwise no as far as we know.

We really need to spend personal actions on those two btw, for a variety of reasons.

Do we care about them trusting us? We haven't decided to trust them.

Uncertain. Currently there's a War Coming, so that's more important than team building exercises so to speak.

So with a massive chaos forces coming we are gonna have to boost our army and navy some more, also would it not be funny if we turn all the Favored and Greater demons to our side

A Possible Victory (Non Canon)
The Third Invasion (probably not canon)

(Why does this music seem to fit Atraxas pulling cosmic stunts in defense of Shogi? I don't know, but it sure does, at least to me! This music is also pretty fitting.)

Twice now, the forces of Ruin had invaded the Shogi System. Once at the eleventh hour, and once at the nineteenth. Twice now, the Shogi System had barely fended them off, at great personal cost - not just in lives lost or material spent, or even the damage to the system, but in effort put into war instead of orderly industry. Twice now, Shogi had shown itself greater than Chaos, but only barely. Twice now, the servants of Ruin had delayed Atraxas and his designs, by precious decades. And with the New Age of War on the horizon, they knew full well it would take only a third delay, a third push, to prevent this interloper from halting the Imperium's long slow death-spiral. (The Servants of Ruin were, perhaps, overly kind in their evaluation of their second Invasion. Sanity was not a common gift among the Insane.)

Twice they had invaded, twice they had forced Atraxas into a near-pyrrhic victory. And when something happens twice, the Warp ensures it will happen a third. (But the Warp has no claim on Atraxas…)

The Shogi System had advanced far in its three and a half centuries under Atraxas, despite opposition from all corners. The Matryoshka System was stronger, far, and better defended than ever before; the system was beginning to come together, and the many lines of defenses had reached Peak Astartes even without special reinforcement. Under the increasingly skilled and equipped hands of the Ministry of Construction, Shogi's production had soared to unheard-of heights, producing over a million Resources per year. The attackers knew this - planned for it, even; all the more to loot on their way out! (But he'd known they were coming for two decades, and Shogi hummed like an anthill, yet none knew what his preparations were…)

For what could Shogi - the greater the rise, the more terrible the fall - do against the attackers incoming? Nine-thousand, eight-hundred, seventy-six Named attackers. Eight of them Exalted, two from each Chaos God. A further three Daemon Primarchs: Mortarion, Lorgar, and Magnus himself. Legions of Fallen Astartes. Countless lesser beings. They had fought past Cadia itself, with the power of their Pacts making the way smooth before them. Shogi, while problematic to conquer, was ripe for plundering. (N̸͉̗̘̥͓̉̆̂̔̀͋ö̷͇̳̞͈́͂͑̉t̵͎̗̙͚̲̫͂̈́̂͑́͘̕͠ ̷̨̣̤͉̠̓͝ţ̴̧͈̥̹̼̙̻̗̭̽̾̅̓h̴͚͚̣͓̘̤͔̼͊̈̽̔͒͝į̶͈͇̟͎͇͕̺̗̀͛s̵͔͔̘̣̥̜̭̲̐̄̋ ̴̠̳̼͎̦͖̼̝͓̿̑͝ţ̸͉̖͍̘̞̖̣̹̾̋͜͝ḯ̸̝͕̝̪̚͠m̷̨̛̗̺̮̫̭̱̞̈́̑͂̐̀̽̄͜͝é̴̯̀.̷̱̝̟͓̝̤̖̭͒)

The fleet, large enough to conquer any normal sector outright, entered the system. And met a single ship: Atraxas' personal ship.

"You have two options, slaves of Ruin," the affront to their gods proclaimed, "surrender, or be annihilated with the hack jobs you call gods."

The whole invading force fired as one. Weapons that could destroy planets, bursts of exotic energy, and enough mundane attacks to saturate the space for light-minutes around. And all of them flowed around Atraxas' ship and disappeared.

"So you have chosen to Die as you have Lived - pointlessly. So be it."

Their ships started forwards. Attack after attack beamed in against the arrogant interloper. Pacts were activated, and Exalted put forth their full efforts, to smash this bug out of the sky.

And every attack - and every ship that got too close - were diverted by massive arrays, Primordial Arrays, vast circuits of Power and Meaning that spanned the entire Shogi System. A working powered by - and in turn empowering - every being who lived there. A conceptual defense, against Ruin and all its forces. A defense augmented by much more mundane shields, shields that (in truth) barely held against the wash of plasma, lasers, missiles, and hundreds of other attacks - but they held nonetheless.

But this was only the prelude. For the invaders had guessed he might have some truly terrible defense. And, thus, they had prepared a ritual. With devastating sacrifice, they summoned the might of the Ruinous Powers directly against the system's defenses. And the shields crumbled in the space between nanoseconds.

But Atraxas s̴̻̻͎̈́̒̐͗̈́͘̕͝m̶̛͈̭͈͖͛̑͂̑͝i̸̳̿̄̈́̍̉͐̄̈̚l̸̡̠̼̪̥̒́̀̀̒̚ę̵̹̘͑͋̓̔͌͗̌͒̅͝d̷̛̪̖͉͚̿̿̽͑. And those who knew him - despite knowing his kindness, knowing he was their true ally - nonetheless took a reflexive step back. Because, for just a moment, this wasn't Atraxas the Radiant Builder - but Atraxas the Maker of War.

And he gestured with his two front limbs, and suddenly, streams of power lit up all across his System. Tzeentch broke off in shock and tore its way free in an instant, sensing something of the moments to come. The Three others hesitated for the briefest of instants. And that was enough.

Chains of Light, of the true Primordial Truth, wrapped around Khorne - the first to continue attacking of the Three - and bit deep. Khorne thrashed, with enough power to shake the whole system in the first second, and more every moment that passed. But in vain.

For, having talked with Necrons and Eldar and the Emperor alike, Atraxas had finally understood the truth of Chaos in full. And he had written it, as it truly was - not the lie they spouted, but the honest truth - into the defenses of his system.

He had understood Materium and Immaterium, Physics and Magic, Logic and Narrative. He stood between, and unmoved, moved all about him.

"You thought to trap me?" he asked, quiet now, as the whole System shook. "The Shogi System is my trap for you!"

After those brief moments of shock, Slaanesh and Nurgle launched synchronized attacks. They were aimed to include Khorne in the line of fire - such always is the way of Chaos - but they should have sufficed to destroy the whole System nonetheless. But they did not.

For in those brief moments, Khorne had shrunk, and the Shogi system had grown. Matter appearing from nowhere, systems coming online in seconds, power routed through filter after filter until it had been cleansed, then channeled to good use. Systems invented and built by an optimized fusion of five hundred cultures and species, did exactly what Atraxas hoped - and even prayed - they would. Humanity's ability to defy possibility, enhancing the Exatari defiance of Narrative and Ruin, with countless others' strengths making this combination possible - and impossibly powerful.

In a matter of perhaps five seconds, the Shogi System was complete; Matryoshka System finished to Atraxas' satisfaction. And then, with this much power and preparation… the real work could begin.

Slaanesh sent a spike of raw Corruption against Shogi (and Khorne). Nurgle, in a rare moment of insight, grabbed Khorne and wrested him free from Atraxas' System. But both were in vain.

Because the spike of Corruption was immediately disassembled, seized, and used as a tether to suck Slaanesh into Shogi. And with Shogi completed, now…

A beam of impossible Light shone through the Immaterium. Truth tearing apart Lies; Sanity pushing back Madness. Shogi had illuminated the sector for years, but this was different. This was directed. This-

Nurgle threw himself, in sudden raging insanity, against Shogi. For the beam had cut into the heart of Nurgle's own domain, purging every sickness it touched, seeking one thing. And finding one thing. Isha.

She stood, torn across half the galaxy in an instant, upon the original world of Shogi, now beautiful, nature fully restored. And Time blurred, another of Shogi's systems designed by many minds and powered by siphoning from Slaanesh - and now Nurgle likewise - allowing a full century of time to pass in an instant.

A full century for three beings: the now-free Eldar Goddess Isha, a genuinely-interested-for-once Necron, and… the ghost of Slann Mage-Priest Imbac.

And in the blink of an eye later, Imbac was ghost no longer, and the Warp shuddered, noting the return of its True Masters.

The Ruinous Powers screamed, and together three colossal powers forced everything they could against the Shogi System, having understood a little of its defenses, and actually beginning to crack the weight of its full power. But it wasn't - could never have been - enough. For another eye-blink and one Slann became hundreds, then tens of thousands, then millions. Several critical systems of Shogi broke in the clash, and the full Matryoshka System was on the verge of unraveling, but in mere instants of expended power, the might of a Chaos God was devoured to resurrect and rebuild the whole of the Slann race.

And now - now - the fight was on equal terms, or something resembling them. Chunks of Shogi were destroyed with every second - but also, with every second, further chunks of the Power of Ruin was devoured, enhancing Atraxas' workings. It would, then, simply be a question of whose Will, Preparation, and Nature gave out first.

But Atraxas - the Exatari species - had spent their whole existence at the bottom of the food-chain, and fought their way to the top (as much as anything) out of a sheer refusal to give up. Humanity was much the same. And the Slann - while not forged in direst need the same way - had spent the past relative-millennium preparing.

To contrast… only Khorne, out of the four Ruinous Powers, was brave. Only Nurgle was skilled at enduring. Only Slaanesh refused half-measures and sought perfection.

And when you had their measure, it was almost pathetically easy to ensure one of Nurgle's attacks would clash with one of Slaanesh's, leaving both half-distracted for a moment. A moment in which Khorne again tried to brute-force the Shogi System's destruction. A moment in which the Slann rent Khorne asunder, chopped it into a dozen parts, and killed the first Chaos God.

At this, the remaining two tried to escape. Nurgle actually made it - Enduring what could not be Avoided, losing nigh half its power on the way out - yet escaping. Slaanesh hesitated a fraction of an instant, out of Pride and Arrogance, and its doom was assured.

Seconds later, the whole Aeldari race was freed from Slaanesh's shackles.

And a hush fell, as the Galaxy stared.

(Days later, the purified Energy of two Chaos Gods was used to create a truly-galaxy-spanning Astronomican, close the Eye of Terror, and heal Humanity's Oversoul. And they all lived happily ever after. Except maybe the Necrons. But that's a story for another time.)

*By being personally involved and in squashing range.
Mailing a Primordial Array to Osiris and instructions on how to siphon the narrative of the Poison of Hero's Fall to boost the narrative of Humanity Overcomes would give him time to actually assess the situation.
Assuming Osiris was willing to use it, but that's not really any less likely than convincing anyone to let us near Ultramar.

@Leon12431, are young Exatari able to use three calculation hearts? Do young Exatari get three extra research dice per calculation heart? How about LMs?

I am curious whether the technological progression of the HomeWorld has grown as dramatically as it looks like it ought to have, from the introduction of calculation hearts.

Thanks!

Every Exatari can use up to 3 Calculation Hearts, it's just that the way the Homeworld is setting things up is its on a downward spiral of amount so to speak. All Forge Scholars got 3 then all the other people in the Forge path, then all the Creation path got outfitted, then War, then Shadow, then Trinity, then Ending/Eternity and then the civilians would get personal ones.

Living Mausoleums can use more tan 3. The Witness for example could use thousands of the things at full effect if it woke up, the oldest ones can use hundreds, the younger ones can manage up to near a hundred of the things.

Interesting...

But it doesn't really change my conclusions much. If anything, it enhances them.

Take a very skilled Exatari with 50 Learning. (This may be barely too high to be possible; I'd have to go back and check.) They would originally get 1d100+50 progress to Research per action per turn, for an average of 100.5 progress per turn.
Now give that Exatari 3 Calculation Hearts. They will instead get 10d100+50 Research, or 555 progress per action per turn. That's a hair over a 5.5x jump.

Take a kid Exatari with 5 Learning. (Not sure if this is possible either, but if it isn't it's because it's too low.) They would originally get 1d100+5 progress, average 55.5. With Calc Hearts, they'll get 10d100+5, average 510. That's just over a 9x jump.

I don't have hard numbers for a Living Mausoleum, but given that they can equip 50-1000 each, I'd imagine they're probably looking at something like a 3x jump minimum.

TL;DR: Calculation Hearts are the biggest thing in the history of Exatari Research, barring maybe the Witness itself.

Edit: Also, @Leon12431, would taking any Mass Production Research actions speed up the rate at which the Homeworld gets a good number of Calculation Hearts? Or possibly reduce the Favor per Heart?

To a degree yes, mass production would help the Exatari. They are already mass producing Hearts, but the Imperium is generally better at mass production than the Exatari are.

Turn 7: Part 4 (The Spheres and Warp Musings)
The twin spheres recovered several decades ago were interesting devices that had gained a measure of interest from the local adeptus mechanicus. The former was clearly designed around gravity manipulation and as such I had chosen to call in one of the favors that Gravus had given, for him to aid me during the breakdown and research into it.

As expected the process went smoothly overall with my understanding of gravity manipulation along with Gravus' in conjunction with the calculation hearts I now posses being more than enough to breakdown the design and general data of the system. I do have to say that the system is overly expensive for generally little gain on the average, but for modulation of gravity it is a notable improvement.

In direct strength of the effect, the technology that the Homeworld possess is still greater, but the fidelity of possible modulations is superior to what we could manage. That is something worth noting and replicating in other more complex or generally useful designs. I am unsure why Gravus believes the sphere to be a viable design for it is overly expensive for little value, it would be more cost effective to design a system to include the new principles than to recreate the sphere directly.

In any event, it is a completed project and has opened various paths for me to follow. Another stone has been given to me to make the grand design possible. Gravity modulation was always going to be a core part of the design, and with this at hand, that becomes closer to being in reach.

I do admit that the fact that during the research I noticed the production of gravity particles and thus the confirmation of a Library of gravity to be an unexpected boon. Hopefully I can build a more comprehensive device to emulate the sphere in this to further my understanding of the new Library possibility.

It might be an illusion but I believe that there is a Library tied to Gravity, since when I noticed the faint particles of Gravity I could see them bound to another Library. It is annoying that I could not perceive more than that before the particles faded away and no more such particles have manifested.

Perhaps the most value the sphere has provided is in the completion of the twin system the so called warp sphere. That was a far more interesting design, where all the major warp based systems of the Imperium were merged into a single greater system. I have determined that it includes a void shield, gellar field, warp drive, void abacus, the core of the lifesupport systems and a fusion reactor.

Most of the systems I still fail to fully understand, but the interlinking nature of the device is interesting and provide a wealth of data on how to improve the local ship designs. Another is that it will vastly improve my ability to acquire planets from other systems due to having greater control over the warp technology needed for the imperium to do such feats.

Adding in a Primordial Array to the sphere would provide a notable upscaling of the durablity of the ships against warp spawned forces across the board, a task that should be barely within my reach under the time pressure that is beginning to be felt at this point. Only another half century remains to prepare and I now know the force that comes, ships will need to be redesigned to handle the coming fight. The warp sphere with an added primordial array would be a good first step for an upgrade for all my ships that would be within reach and reason.

A strange discovery came from the twin systems, when viewed through the lens of the Primordial Truth. The warp has a form of logic to it, bloated and twisted as it is, but there is a chain of logic nontheless to the warp even in the deepest reaches.

It is not possible for something to come from nothing, there is always a nucleus to trigger the formation of the something. That is without question, for the primordial truth gives no lie possible, all that is within the warp is in some form a reflection of reality.

Reality is in turn inherently logical, inherently understandable, thus the Warp is merely the reflection of such aspects. Yet it is not a true reflection for that would be the simple inverse of the formulas that govern reality. Instead it would be more proper to state that the warp is the inversion of reality, in that it becomes inherently illogical and inherently incomprehensible. However, therein lies the issue, it is impossible for anything to be truly axiomatically illogical and incomprehensible yet retain any form of stability.

Therefore the warp does abide by a form of logic inherent to itself. The warp does not care for distance and time as such, it cares for importance. That is what I have determined, the warp is not shaped by nominal geometries, but instead by the importance of the reflection upon the warp. Moving without purpose within the warp would lead one to exit upon a human world more often than that of a barren wasteland, it would cause one to stumble upon an alien race more often than dead space.

Therefore in turn, one can travel not through distance or time, but through importance. It is a notable revelation to me, and I believe the Imperium, but also one that will require effort to maximize the value of beyond all others. Perhaps, it would be best served in conjunction with the gellar field I recently decoded, for it would enable faster travel between important locals than normally possible even with such crippled speed.

Very small update, but I dislike nonsensical technobabble and there was not much to honestly say for this since these actions were fairly concise and generally not prone to overly long descriptions.

@Leon12431 Does this mean that you've tipped the Warp Sphere over into Completion? If so, THANK YOU!

Ooh, shiny...

Yeah, we talked about it in the discord but doing both proc'd a roll for how much synergy progress we'd get, which rolled very poorly but the gap was so small we got enough anyway.
Yeah. It somewhat implies easy travel to sector capitals and Astartes homeworlds though, which could be bad since wider distribution of the technique could get back to Chaos. Though it's possible Cadia's narrative role as the Gateway of the Eye would circumvent that.

By that same logic though, it'll be easier to show up to worlds where Chaos is doing bullshit, as well as their own strongholds, plus whatever the "Mission" Planet is, so at least it'll remain a double edged sword if it gets out.

Well. Just joined the Discord. Here are a bunch of carefully-chosen quotes:

there is an Oversoul Library but its a Meta Library in other words basically impossible to get

there is never going to be a Fix It All button/machine unless you somehow dredge up an Old One from the Well of Eternity

Architect of War trait:
Architect of Divine War - all weapons crafted are upscaled by 5 Tech Levels, understanding of weapon tech increased vastly, weapon crafting supported by the Warp, weapons gain various traits, unable to craft anything that is not a weapon, unable to interact peacefully with anyone barring another Architect/C'tan forces, unable to not use warp support for weapon crafting, weapons unreplicable by science regardless of tech level, constantly seeking to create war and battle, unable to rest

A theoretical extremely-late-game "the Exatari have overcome and healed" version of the above:
Architect Of Reality - everything crafted upscaled by 10 Tech Levels, understanding of all technology vastly increased, all crafting supported by the Warp and Reality, all items gain various traits, All items crafted are of Divine Quality, all items able to be understood by non Architects, can craft C'tan and Gods

Q: Aside from what we did choose, what other combos would have allowed for Meta Particle access?
A: none

Exatari society can't function with true automation
their society is a weird mix of Eldar, Imperial, Kin, and even Necrontyr systems
automation disrupts that very fragile balance
modern automation doesn't break Exatari society, but full on automation shatters it
basically they are never going beyond where we today are in terms of automation
the issue isn't that the Exatari would dislike it as much as their society can't adjust to automation

Atraxas would find AIs interesting and probably good conversational partners

Q: What's the general reactions on us having finished [Fortifications] within 20 years?
A: average people of Shogi: uncaring
the people that understand it: "How?"
the military: "Fuck you for doing this now we have to suffer in these awful cramped outposts sooner. Hey the food isn't bad."
the ships: "I still don't understand why you had to force me to use a weapon of the Emperor's wrath on some harmless rocks, Emperor Damn it my ship is a warship not a mining vessel."
Advisors: "Let's just never tell Atraxas that something is impossible again." "Agreed, I am going to go cry myself to sleep."
the sector: "What the fuck? its been 60 years, at best it should have taken most of this millennium to fix the disaster that that idiot made."
those 3 asshole worlds: "Does anyone have a cyclonic at hand or can buy one?" "I do." "Great, lets ship it to Shogi to kill it once and for all."
-
Q: ...Do those 3 worlds seriously think they'll be able to get a ship by our defenses?
A: yes
they think Atraxas is an upjumped menial
and as such is clearly mentally retarded
which is basically their view of anyone related to Shogi
Reaction: They're going to suffer, aren't they

the general breakdown is as follows
Tier 1 Library (Weight) = everywhere, omnipresent
Tier 2 (Life and similar) = very common and generally pretty much around
Tier 3 (order/civilization) = more conceptual aspects of reality/warp
Tier 4 (technology/anti) = things that encompass both sides of the universe

Planned (and not yet found) Libraries list: Temporal, Technology, Revenant, Death, Civilization, Protection, Warping, Interlink, Space, Radiance.

technology is one of the few 4th order Libraries, its technically only on the list because of what the Exatari are. The other 4th order Libraries are the meta ones like the Anti Library, Corrupted Library, Twisted Library, Distorted Library, Dimensional Library, Unreality Library, Anomalous Library and so forth
those Libraries are basically flat out impossible to get
The Technology Library is Meta in that it covers to some degree everything
it could also be considered the Science Library, the Progress Library, the Understanding and so forth are all applicable names

generally the way to discover more Libraries is to reach TL16 in Weight and then start filtering and condensing particles into containers, which in turn can be further refined and filtered until you get second order then third order and then fourth order Libraries. Basically by TL14 its possible to discover Libraries fairly easily, by 16 its a matter of just waiting for a few centuries while the system cooks.

Old One Innate Trait: Absolute Warp Mastery - can remove/add/alter/exchange or otherwise change any aspect of the warp at will. No defense is possible.
if the weakest Old One ever to exist showed up in the current era it would take them all of a second to purge Chaos
(Later noted to be pretty pointless against the Necrons, since their whole thing is "goodbye, Warp.")

the C'tan Oversoul is the material universe

but honestly, with Atraxas' stats it would have been a miracle to have resource woes past turn 10
in short, the true limiting factors for SA isnt Resource but Suspicion, and limited Actions
and Production Capacity
three things much harder to expand/grow

Primordial Arrays basically exploit the fact that reality is the more important side of the divide between Reality and the Warp
and turn strength into weakness for those born from the warp or empowered by the warp
and gives the lost power to the forces that fight against them
in short it exploits the narrative of reflection that the warp has
the warp reflects reality
thus warp born creatures and warp born power fighting against reality is a reflection fighting against what is real
and by the rules of reflection the source of the reflection must be stronger/realer

so Inversion Arrays basically reduce Daemons to 1/3 their nominal power
and now Primordial Arrays give that power removed to their foes
also they play merry hell with Plot Armor

Daemon Princes are somewhat resistant to the effect
and Daemon Primarchs just ignore it entirely
Exalted daemons also pseudo ignore it (mostly because they can't be harmed without Godslayer or Godslayer (Warp))

it seems so yes
well there is going to be a special action next turn
Meeting with the Aeldari
...
you could send Akiona
the Eldar would treat her sort of like a puppy if she fails
...
"Oh look at how adorably sad she is, I just want to pat her."

an Eldar craftworld rolled a nat 100 on force allocation in response to Emps action on turn 4
Its likely that a phoenix lord might show up for turn 11

Humanity Oversoul fix rules-of-thumb:
>if the solution is quick and really good (like a total fix), then it will involve a high cost (kill emps, open a rift across the galaxy),
>if is a not so good solution (stalling/slowing the issue and essentially kicking the can down the road), then it will not involve such a high sacrifice, but also not really be a solution as much a temporary patch (one that would last a few millennia to be fair, which does buy time for everyone to find a solution)
>having both simultaneously would involve a miracle totally outside our control
-
Note from me, Robinton: Kick the can. Opening a rift halfway across the galaxy could actually be an affordable and sane action in ~3 millennia.

they were and are basically one tech field away from being able to figure out libraries naturally
hell they got Veil Physics this turn
which basically for the Exatari is a +10% to everything - at TL1
and gets rather more broken the higher it goes
Veil Physics takes [Exatari] Meta and Phase stuff and ties it back into a foundation
they were working without the literal foundational equations, that Veil Physics would provide
basically doing quantum mechanics without knowing physics
> This is what bashing your collective heads against a super tech for fuck-you duration gets you
it along with the lack of versatile computers was crippling them
they saw a shinny
and wanted it
they basically out stubborned the universe
Universe: No you are not getting this
Exatari: Yes we are
Universe: No you are not
Exatari: Yes we will
Universe: No
Exatari: Yes
Universe: You know this is impossible?
Exatari: AH got it holds up a compressor
Universe: HOW?
of course the Exatari never actually knew the physics behind how any of this worked

Harkar has a hidden trait now from her bullshit luck
I will say its from a critical roll
related to Emps

Order is beyond Chaos' sight
much like how Ruin is beyond Emps sight
Emps cant see the effects of the Ruin Library and Chaos cant see the effects of the Order Library
basically [Order is] a form of rejection of the warp's mastery
think of Order as metaphysical armor against the warp
Order: governance of the progression of events and things in natural form, the obeyance of natural law, rejection of the warp and supremacy of logic over dream

Exatari don't have much in the way of primal desires, in that regard they are fairly similar to the orks
they don't have the same drive for food/sex/relaxation as humans

I can imagine the shock of the Harkar negaquest
Action Interruption: Atraxas Augments
[] Accept
[] Decline
Voters: Why would anyone ever say no to them?
also Shezu and Osiris are both going to be intrigued by this event
Osiris because of how close this treads to the Custodian/Astartes stuff and Shezu because Atraxas made metal truly living without a few ten million year and old one fuckery
>Robinton: Would this give any bonuses to our next Interact with Shezu, or...?
it will yes

I have stated that if Isha had the power of a single Exalted Daemon she would be able to slay Nurgle
it wouldn't even be a real fight
Isha would just walk through everything Nurgle could send at her with contemptuous ease
it would be like a primarch fighting an army of humans without any support
even reduced to the power of a single Greater Daemon Isha's Cage takes a non minuscule fraction of Nurgle's might to keep intact

Nurgle is probably the one most in denial
Khorne is too simple
Tzeentch is not a thing
Slaanesh knows exactly what it is and keeps trying to one up itself
Emps mostly just sits around on the outside and pokes them every so often to keep them jumping

so Isha manages a really good amount while in her cage
now the question just what does she do
...
Warp Conduit
so once its full grown every single human/non blank will contribute to rituals under its range
its a passive system
every single soul within its reach increases the amount of power it has to play with
and then the single person can direct that power as they see fit
basically it lets you turn twenty billion mundane humans into a fully stable effective alpha plus
...
Atraxas made the seed by basically just throwing all the genetic info of the entire Sector, Terra and the Homeworld into a blender with a drop of Harkar's blood and some of his own flesh
...
I will say that this is the kind of thing that can't be made again
which is going to infuriate Atraxas

Q: Could we supercharge Isha with a Primordial Array?
A: a real being could use [a Primordial Array] on a warp being but the power transfer relies on the target of that being real
also the things do have an upper limit of Honored
