The Nadesico ultimately got through its situation in canon well enough, I'm really more concerned about having enough aces at Industrial 7 that aren't Newtypes.

Funny how I ended up...not using my own plan.

But this vote is in two things I haven't seen the source material for, so...blegh...

Aboard the Nadesico, en route to the Moon

"Sir, we've placed Gekiganger stickers and plushies all around the ship as you instructed." A mechanic reports to Uribitake.

"Excellent! The pilot of the Jovian machine seems to be a Gekiganger fanatic, there's no way he won't fall for it!" Uribitake cackles as he brandishes a sheet of Gekiganger stickers.

Akito Hyuga and Ashley Ashra look on and refrain from sighing in exasperation.

"You really think this'll work?" Ashley asks Akito Hyuga.

"I mean, maybe?" Akito Hyuga shrugs. "Trust me, I've seen some people go absolutely nuts for merch of their favorite shows."

"Eh, I'll take your word for it then." Ashley says.

Hallway leading to crew quarters

"Alert, there is evidence that there has been an infiltration of the ship. There is a distinct possibility that there is an alien on board. All stations remain on high alert. All crew, avoid being alone, and please follow the instructions of security." Goat Hoary's voice blares over the ship PA. The announcement has been on repeat every 30 minutes for the last few hours.

You are Kaname Chidori, and you desperately wish that aspirin was enough to suppress the headaches that the Whispers cause you to have. Your relatively close proximity to the Jovian Super Robot has caused you to have numerous flashes of knowledge related to Boson Jumping, IFS nanomachines, and Phase Transition technology. None of it stays in your head for very long, but it's supremely annoying to deal with from moment to moment.

"If you feel unwell due to the Whispers, Chidori, you can always just go rest in your quarters. Captain Misumaru and the rest of the crew in the know won't hold it against you." Sosuke says as the two of you walk toward the crew quarters. You've just finished a shift in the kitchen.

"Much as I'd like to, it wouldn't feel right. You're all fighting for the safety of others, and I'm just-" You lose your train of thought as you feel a flash of pain course through your head.

Sosuke wordlessly hands you a packet containing a pair of painkiller tablets, which you tear open and pop into your mouth before downing them with water from a canteen that he presses into your hands.

"Chidori, if painkillers don't help with the headaches, why do you keep taking them?" Sosuke asks.

"I guess I'm hoping the placebo effect will kick in at some point." You respond. Sosuke nods in understanding.

"Understandable, any kind of relief would be welcome in your situation."

You tamp down on the urge to slap him for his phrasing. As the two of you walk further, you spy Minato and Megumi, both of them pushing a laundry cart. As you get closer, Goat Hoary appears from a side door and puts his hand on the laundry cart, stopping it. He's accompanied by Gai Daigoji. You're not close enough to hear what they're saying clearly, but Minato is clearly upset with Goat. Minato apparently says something to provoke Goat, and as he raises his hand slap her, someone bursts out of the laundry cart in a shower of female underwear, pointing a revolver at Goat.

"Women are national treasures! And you claim to be a soldier?!" The intruder yells.

Gai makes to attack the intruder when he gasps in surprise, as does the intruder. The two of them point at each other in confusion, Gai with his right hand, and the intruder with his free hand. At first you don't know why, but then you see it: Gai and the intruder look very similar.

Sosuke takes the opportunity to sprint forward and, for a lack of better options due to the fact that his opponent is standing in a laundry cart, body slams the intruder after a flying leap. The intruder struggles for a moment before Sosuke grabs his wrist and slams the intruder's hand against the side of the laundry cart, causing him to drop the revolver. A trio of security guards rush in to assist Sosuke while Gai gingerly picks up the revolver and swings out the cylinder, emptying the gun of its bullets. You pull out a taser that Sosuke gave you and point it at Megumi and Minato, who have covered their faces with their hands.

"Okay, what the hell's going on?" You ask.

Nadesico medical bay

You are Melissa Mao, and you don't know how to feel about this. You, Captain Misumaru, Mr. Prospector, Akatskuki Nagare, Erina Won, Goat, Megumi, Minato, Leila Malcal, and Kaine Wakaba are in the ship's medical bay, currently interrogating the prisoner.

"Well, it's hard to believe, but he's definitely a human from Earth." Mr. Prospector says. "His DNA seems to have been slightly altered-"

"Don't call me an earthling! I am a proud member of the Jovian Federation's Superior Male Space Forces, Lieutenant Commander Tsukumo Shiratori!" The prisoner, now identified as Tsukumo says defiantly.

"Hey hey, don't tell me the Jupiter Colonies decided to throw their lot in with the Jovian Lizards!" Kaine says in surprise.

"The Jupiter Colonies? Don't make me laugh, we'd never accept those parasites! We are the original colonizers of Jupiter, and not by choice!" Tsukumo exclaims.

"I get the feeling I'm missing something here. Care to explain?" You ask Tsukumo with a raised eyebrow.

"You truly do not know? Of course they would cover it up." Tsukumo says bitterly. He stares at the ground for a few seconds before looking back up at your group. "What do you know of the Lunar Rebellion?"

Minato rolls her eyes.

"That's easy. A few years into the reconstruction era after Space War One, a rogue faction of the UN Spacey on the Moon declared that they would secede from the wider government unless all Zentraedi currently part of it were executed. Naturally, the main body of the UN Spacey refused, and were forced to intervene in the resulting civil war on the lunar surface when it came to light that the rebel faction was intending to weaponize a mass driver in their possesion to destroy Macross City. The rebels were crushed, and those left exiled to deep space without Fold Drives, where it's assumed they starved to death." Minato recounts.

Tsukumo gives another, bitter laugh.

"Of course they don't tell the rest of the story in the history books. Well, here's the undisclosed truth. The survivors of the Lunar Rebel faction managed to flee to Mars and establish a settlement there. Shortly before the transition to the UE era, a survey fleet from Earth was sent to assess the viability of colonizing Mars. Not wanting to be found out, the Martian colonists captured most of the survey fleet, although one ship managed to escape back to Earth. In response, a fleet was sent to negotiate the release of the rest of the survey fleet. After the safe return of the survey fleet personnel, negotiations then began to determine what role the existing settlers would play in a second wave colonization effort. Our surviving records indicate that the existing settlers refused to agree to any terms unless all existing Zentraedi within the UN Spacey were purged, and all future Zentaedi encountered summarily executed. At some point, a group of traitors went behind the backs of the settlement leadership and disclosed the fact that the settlement had access to a blueprint of the Grand Cannon built and used in Space War One, and that the colony was building it to deter anyone else from coming to Mars. When the Earth fleet confronted our leaders with this revelation, they fired a surface-to-orbit beam weapon, both as a warning shot and a show of resolve. The Earth fleet took this as a sign of aggression, and bombarded the colony from orbit. The survivors fled to orbit of Jupiter, where they formed the Jovian Federation." Tsukumo explains.

Everyone, including yourself, is floored by this revelation, and it takes a few moments for all of you to find your voices again.

Captain Misumaru is the first to speak.

"So, the Jovian Lizards...are actually the Jovian Federation, who have been human this entire time?" Yurika puzzles out loud.

"That's right! And we will have justice for the transgressions committed against our ancestors!" Tsukumo yells.

The conversation becomes steadily unproductive from that point, and after a quick once-over to ensure that Tsukumo has no other injuries other than the ones Sosuke inflicted on him during his capture, it's decided to send him to the brig.

Akatsuki Nagare insists that he escort Tsukumo to the brig himself.

Do you let him?

[ ] Yes

[ ] No
-Choose who accompanies him (you may pick up to two of the below choices)
-[ ] Kaine Wakaba
-[ ] Sosuke
-[ ] Leila Malcal
-[ ] Ashley Ashra

What do you do with Tsukumo's revelations?

[ ] Bury it
-Yurika will not stand for this decision, and neither will the rest of the crew

[ ] Send to journalists you have connections with (you may pick up to all of the journalists listed, and although all of them will depict the information objectively, some may frame it in a way reminiscent of propaganda)
-[ ] Isabelle Cronkite
-[ ] Diethard Ried
-[ ] Milly Ashford

[ ] Sit on it
-Wait for an opportunity to use the information more decisively, though its authenticity will be called into question by those who have an interest in keeping it buried

A/N: The political whammy from Nadesico, as promised. If you pick the 'give to journalists' option, you won't have to worry about authenticity because you'll be handing over a recording of the conversation. Also, I hope you don't mind the changes I made to accommodate the fact that the original Macross is part of the backstory. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Good try Nergal But kinda want the guy with actual military experience to escort him.

Kaine would probably get in a fight with Tsukumo and don't know enough of the others to really trust them the escort, besides he was the one who took him down during his infiltration.
edit: saw the pick two now.

[X] Sit on it

For sit on it, maybe this info will come in handy for when some rogues elements from the feredation try any move, specially since this will have the most impact rather that if we just sent it right now to the press.

You know would be funny if we dropped this during the opening of the laplace box, man that would be a dual nuke for some people.

Besides if we do want the peace with the jovian lizards we need to rectify the attrocities from that stunt.

Wow. The Jovian predecessors were uh...yikes. No one won them over to alien-loving with the Aquamarine episode? Someone should have put Max on diplomacy duty.

Leila is there to make sure Tsukumo doesn't get shanked. Sousuke is there to make sure Leila doesn't get kidnapped. This will likely end poorly but that's my best bet.

The guy cannot hit women. Make at least one of the escorts a woman.
And the other Sousuke, who cannot really be riled up in a manner that matters.

Not sure about the other. Assessments?
I mean, these guys seem to be more or less tooting Blue Cosmos' brand horn.

...So, giving the Lunar Rebellion Revelation full throttle to the public, which will likely be followed by Laplace's Box within the year...

We're destroying the Federation, aren't we?

They just aren't going to exist within a couple years if we do that. Between Bloody Valentine, Jovian Reveal, Laplace's Box, etc etc...

The question is, do we want to pull the trigger on that now? I think it'll put us in a better light with Tsukomo and other, less genocidal factions if they're paying attention...

But at the same time, we're in a royal rumble up in Space right now. There's...what, seven or eight different factions in open space warfare against us right now? And who know who else could be waiting to pounce, we haven't even seen any villains of some of our current roster, so the Space Frontier is going to get worse before it gets better.

That's not even accounting for Earthly or Dimensional threats like Dr Hell, Amalgam, the Council, or the Rayearth villains! So the question is...do we really want to kneecap the Federation even harder in this clusterfuck?

...But, honestly...I don't know. The Federation is already as shaky as a house of cards as it is, and we're approaching a point where even blasting this across the Earth Sphere won't do more than hasten it's collapse. And we know Blue Cosmos is in deep, alongside other corrupt scum...so...

Oh, and...

[X] Sit on it.

Don't know much about Leila, but Tsukomo (and potential Jovian rescuers) will be tripped up by her...which will let this trained military woman break them. Sosuke is pretty skilled and very calm, so that covers two pretty good guards.

...Let's, uh, keep Kaname somewhere safe though, yeah?

EDIT: I thought for awhile, read a bit, changed my vote. As much as I'd like to destroy the Federation simply for how interesting that could be, it's not a good time for it.

Also reminder that some factions would take adventage of us pulling the trigger on the feredation and probably getting a lot of support to replace them back on earth too.

Reminder that people like Charles is still pretty much plotting on how to make Brittania the only country that matters.

And let's not forget some of the other lunatics would get a lot of support on their anti-earth sentiment and I am looking at you Rau

The crux is that by doing it now, nobody's going to be in a good position to take advantage of things yet, and we have the extradimensional invaders to use as a rallying call.

Or we wait until someone else finds out and pulls the trigger at their own best time. If ANYONE knows at all I think at least a quarter of the schemer factions already know and are either directly complicit, or else holding for the best time.

Ultimately, Truth is a lot easier to fight for.

We draw a significant amount of support from the Federation, so we don't want to destroy it, especially since that will allow Neo-Hope assume control over the Earth, which would allow them to start going after us in full force, something I don't think we are ready for. Also, the removal of the Federation could allow Ribbons to reestablish himself as a credible threat (he's currently somewhat neutered from the fact that he failed to highjack VEDA IIRC and he doesn't have the A-LAWS, as we took action to ensure that A-LAWS won't become a thing when we went ahead and plotted with Celestial Being to have Corner assassinated). All in all, it's a bad time to spring the revelations regarding the Lunar Rebellion.

We've got Lelouch, Treize and Relena Peacecraft on the same faction, I'm confident that humanity can and will outgrow the Federation.

Heh, at this rate we might even end up recruiting Hathaway Noa during his bout of "Teenage Rebellion, Worm Style." :V

Aaaand there it is. The big reveal that turned the plot of Nadesico on it's head.

Obviously, this is bad. We can't sit on these facts forever - for obvious reasons - but waiting to think the implications through and actually have a chance to prepare for the shitstorm is just common sense. We'll want to unveil this at a point in time where we can use it as justification for attempting diplomatic outreach to the Jovian Federation, preferably in such a manner Neo-Hope can't ruin said efforts.

Also no. No, Akatsuki, I am not trusting you further than I can throw you. No deal.

You guys seem to have decided who will foil Akatsuki, but there's some debate over what to do with the new info. Voting will close tomorrow.

I think we may have a good occasion in the near future to spring the Lunar Rebellion reveal in way that is hopefully going to cause our enemies embedded in the Federation more damage that it will cause us.

Provided that Gundam Seed's plot does not deviate (no guarantee), Blue Cosmos aligned forces should try something in order to pave the way for the extremist forces to triumph over the more moderate ones (in canon Seed, that was the battle of Josh-A; it might also be possible that they might back Duke Dermail's faction of Romefeller and the parts of OZ that are still loyal to him if we reach a situation where OZ and Romefeller splinter between Relena/Treize and Duke Dermail, since both Romefeller and Blue Cosmos are part of Neo-Hope IIRC). I believe it might be for the best to use the revelation regarding the Jovians as a counter to whatever Neo-Hope will try against us in the hopes that the revelation will force them on the defensive and hamper whatever plans they may have in motion at the time of the reveal. Opinions on this?

Jovians feel like they are possible shoe-in to Blue Cosmos side, with that philosophy of "we hate you because you haven't killed those guys", where those guys are Other .

Aboard the Nadesico

You are Leila Malcal, and you are accompanying Akaktsuki Nagare along with Sosuke Sagara. Both you and Melissa Mao think there's something unusual about how Akatsuki requested that he escort the prisoner to the brig by himself.

"Ack!" You hear Akatsuki stumble and lean down to tie his shoe. You pause, Sosuke yanking Tsukumo by the collar to stop him.

Suddenly, Akatsuki springs back up, pointing his pistol at the three of you.

"Your timing is quite terrible, Jovian." Akatsuki states.

"Nagare-san, what is the meaning of this?" Sosuke asks as he narrows his eyes.

"It's better if the Jovian Lizards are assumed to be an army of unmanned weapons. Now, put Shiratori-san forward so we can put this matter to rest." Akatsuki says.

Sosuke makes to draw his own sidearm, but you stop him.

"You're not just an Aestivalis pilot, are you? Nergal wouldn't trust someone so low on the totem pole to keep their dirty little secrets from coming out." You glare at Akatsuki. He shifts his pistol to you.

"Don't go digging where you shouldn't, young lady. That's the only warning I'm going to give you." Akatsuki says icily.

Sosuke looks like he's about to say something when he suddenly clasps his hand over your mouth and forces the both of you to the ground. The reason why becomes clear a split second later, as something bursts open, showering all of you with...flour? You hear a bang and a thud, and through the haze of the flour, you see Akatsuki fall to the ground unconscious. Two figures stride through the flour and grab Tsukumo by the arms.

"You have to escape, now!" Is that Megumi?

"But I'm a prisoner..." Tsukumo says lamely.

"Don't you get it? This is your only chance!" Okay, the second voice is definitely Minato.

"What are you two doing?!" Sosuke says.

"Sorry you two!" Megumi says apologetically as she throws something on the ground by the two of you. It explodes in a cloud of red and green dust.

Your eyes immediately start to tear up, and you feel a spicy sensation in your nostrils.

Jalapeno powder? Seriously? You think to yourself as you and Sosuke start coughing uncontrollably.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" You hear Jun shout as he and Akito Hyuga sprint down the hallway toward your group.

Tsukumo grabs Akatsuki's fallen pistol and levels it at Jun and Akito Hyuga. You and Sosuke hit the deck, while Akito Hyuga pulls Jun into a side door as Tsukumo fires.

By the time you and Sosuke get up and Akito and Jun peek out of cover, Tsukumo has disappeared down the hall with Megumi and Minato in tow.

Space around Industrial 7

You are Allelujah Haptism, and this assignment has gotten far too exciting in a short time for your liking.

It all started when a Geara Zulu, the newest model of mobile suit used by Neo Zeon remnants, ambushed one of the Nahel Argama's ReZELs out of nowhere. From there, things devolved into chaos as more Geara Zulus showed up, as well as a custom model that Londo Bell has identified as the Kshatriya. That one's particularly dangerous, as it has two dozen funnels at its disposal, which it demonstrated quite clearly by dissecting a D Type Jegan with them before making a break for the interior of Industrial 7.

Roll for availability of other Gundam Meisters
Roll 1d6, the result will include what's in that entry and all of the above
1+|Nena Trinity
2+|Setsuna
3+|Lockon
4+|Tieria
5+|Ptolemios
6|Support team from Fereshte
Roll 1

Not helping things is that your only available backup is Nena Trinity in the Gundam Throne Drei. The Ra Cailum is on its way with reinforcements, so you'll have to reinforce the Nahel Argama however you can.

Tactical Situation
The Kshatryia has entered the interior of Industrial 7, several Londo Bell mobile suits have followed in pursuit
Numerous Sleeves mobile suits (all Geara Zulus) are harassing Londo Bell mobile suits outside the colony
The Ra Cailum will arrive at the start of the next round of combat
Otto Midas, the commander of the Nahel Argama, is in the know about Celestial Being as friendlies

Available assets

Celestial Being units
Gundam Kyrios
Gundam Throne Drei

Londo Bell units
Nahel Argama
D Type Jegan x10
ReZEL x8
Loto x2 (colony interior)
Stark Jegan x1
ReZEL x2 (colony interior)
D Type Jegan x1 (colony interior)

Enemy Assets

Geara Zulu x25 (colony exterior)
Kshatryia (colony interior)

What do you do?

[ ] Exterior damage control
-Have both the Kyrios and the Throne Drei assist in attacking the Geara Zulus on the outside
-You will hope that the Londo Bell mobile suits in the interior can deal with the Kshatryia

[ ] Split Push
-Have the Kyrios pursue the Kshatriya into interior of the colony and assist the Londo Bell mobile suits there
-The Throne Drei will assist Londo Bell forces on the outside

[ ] Going in deep
-Have both the Kyrios and the Throne Drei pursue the Kshatriya into the interior of the colony
-You will hope that the Londo Bell forces on the outside and the Nahel Argama will be fine on their own

[ ] Write-in

A/N: Peeling away from Nadesico to get to the much-anticipated start of the Unicorn Gundam plot, I hope this isn't too sudden. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Has to be a split push, much as I can see the utility in Nena's Throne Drei mucking up Funnel connections, that's too iffy a thing to bet on. Better to have her act as Ewacs like D-3 and run support for Londo Bell.

Allelujah's Kyrios is a good match for the Kshatriya, speed and rapid fire do wonders on funnels.
[X] Split Push

Well, if nothing else, I'm sure Minato and Megumi have earned Sousuke's eternal respect for making a smoke grenade and tear gas out of shit from the pantry.

[X] Exterior damage control

There are three Meisters in two bodies here and I trust exactly one of them inside a civilian colony.
