Aiding the E.G.G.M.A.N. (Sonic)

Do the walls at least come with weapons our Eggpawns can use against Sonic and his friends or G.U.N.
We got Laser Obelisks and SAND Sites, there will be missiles and lightshows. A strong defensive position they have to surmount. And that's just to get into the base proper. Past the first wall it will be difficult. And you still have to navigate the base itself afterwards where our lord and maker Eggman has setup. G.U.N. is not getting in without a fight, nor the Tornado fly over our walls. So they have to be on foot too in the shifting sands of our defenses. And Lasers~ And Missiles~ It's enough to get these drives whirling with anticipation.

You're not wrong. If it weren't a rush job I'd want both, but it is so sacrificing fortifications for diversified defenses is could be better. I might change my vote, but I think I'll sleep on it first.

The lack of Sand Pawn Snipers bugs me though.

Me too. Sadly there is no time to build a sandstorm generator to take full advantage of our terrain. Would make the Sand Pawns killer.

[X] Dune raiders

With the lasers the skies become too dangerous to fly in big numbers, and the walls slow everything down to a crawl. Sand sharks harass everything so they have no chance to fortify, then funnel everything right into the egg pawn kill boxes.

It just occurred to me that, since Ancient Echidna tech is off-limits, it's probably safe to assume that Frontiers stuff is probably also beyond us, so I'm adding that to the Vetoed list preemptively.

To be fair I doubt any of us wanted to do that there's something far more rewarding defeating our foes with nothing but our own plans.

[X] Sandy Skies

I find it curious that the Ice Bear and updated Ice balls are still in reserve I think, right?
I'm just saying in case they were forgotten.

Sandy Skies
[x] Sandy Skies
-[X] Laser Obelisk: Obelisks with built in lasers, huh they remind you of something but its probably nothing. 5 Points.
-[X] Outer Walls 1: An additional set of outer walls to make the base harder to break into. 5 Points.
-[X] SAND Sites: Anti-air missile launchers specifically built to be capable of hiding in sand dunes. 10 Points.

You only added one layer of physical walls to the pyramid base having decided that if GUN truly did make a move on it that such simple barriers would be of limited use should the military use flying vehicles and other such means of attack.

Additionally you decide to add some decor and defense in one… by making obelisks that also double as laser turrets, they are ablet to target both ground and aerial targets… though the latter tend to move fast enough to dodge the aim of the obelisks targeting system if not the actual attack.

Finally you add additional anti air defenses in the form of the SAND Sites, they should hopefully do much to keep GUN's considerable airforce at bay.

Hmm what's this?

You are detecting a major buildup of GUN forces near the desert the main base is located in… you creator should be done with his work here and gone before they actually make their move… naturally you send this info to your creator and get his response.

"So GUN is trying to destroy my little desert base eh? Hmp it doesn't matter after I've departed that facility is useless to me. Do what you will with it."

Hmmm… what do you do with it?
[ ] Fortify it further and attempt to hold it, or at least make it a meat grinder.
[ ] Turn it into a massive trap… that should hopefully teach GUN a lesson.
[ ] Perpare an evac… leave nothing but empty ruins.
[ ] Do nothing you have other matters to attend to.

...Not sure what to do here, really. I'm open to any of the options, so I think I'll sit this vote out.

Quick question, though: Where is Team Egg right now?

So, he should be gone before they get there, doesn't mean he will be. After all a insertion team ahead of them could bog him down.

GUN is low on funding now, has had their laboratories raided and now they're set to do a final push on Temple Prime Sandy Skies base before their cash flow runs out.

So, while trap is appealing, frankly it and meat grinder serve the same purpose, only the trap might risk the doctor till he's gone.

[x] Fortify it further and attempt to hold it, or at least make it a meat grinder.

Let's have us a good old fashioned war, get some experience under our belt for future battles and ensure the doctor's safety in case he gets bogged down there. Definitely not because I want to re-enact a GDI and Brotherhood of Nod fight, no sir.
