So it's not strictly relevant right now, but when we inevitably gain a colony in another system we're going to have to push hard for increases in FTL speed and potential FTL communication. Otherwise we'll just be two different polities rather than united. More ships (civillian and military) would also help.
Yeah, safety is also important. Not to mention safety, can't help but notice a lot of warp protection temples still not built.
Until a squadron of Tomb Warriors apparated into the facility in a flash of green light, firing their weapons into the computer until it was reduced to molten slag, stopping the process.
So, can we do that supercomputer performing a life draining ritual again?
Cause that was damned effective.
Do it on an enemy planet, you got a mystical neutron sweep, so long as you can turn it off or channel it into proper storage space or some effect.
Wait, we're Trek, so it was probably just a one-off event to never be referenced again, nevermind.
I mean there the whole war crime part of it that would make it not okay with the tekket and how it be a sucicde mission for the tekket to set the thing off since we don't have the tech to do automated warp ships with super computer that set it off on there own. There also we don't know how to turn it off or to determine the range of the thing. So, can we do that supercomputer performing a life draining ritual again?

tbh I just took it since it seemed like people wanted it and to set it up for completion next turn though you make some very good points if no one objects I'll switch the plan to do that instead and reallocate extra points into the MT wander. I'll wait 4 hours for objection(I'd wait longer but the night approaches fast)Though, I have to say I am a bit confused by all these plans chipping away at the Mystek Wards when they could pick the Roadguide Temple instead, specially when so many involve Warp jumps: both options have similar effects, but the Temple costs less points(thus allowing more to be allocated into the Mountain Shrine project), and would kick in automatically next turn, offering more protection to Tekketi ships on transit.
Plus, reviving the Roadguide's creed on the same turn we start talking to his wayward spawn is a synergy that could yield some interesting lore drops.

I sympathize entirely, although I expect that the smaller Void-Train Orbital Transit Network may add progression towards the Great Space Express.Of course, while I don't actually expect people to go for it, building the Great Space Express would be awesome, so here's an alternative that just moves all the EXP on that.

I'm also sending a ship to the Expanse to try and find something useful there; ideally there would be somewhere for a colony, but otherwise I'd be happy with finding out what's going on with the red suns on our monitoring networks (plus it gives a boost to our Outpost Level which could be useful). The Endeavor is getting an easier mission to setup a Xenoobservation Outpost since we have a couple neat ACD options that needs it first.
If our lovely ferrets are wiling to exterminatus then something has gone wrong.
Insofar as I am aware there is no bad situation in 40k that an uncontrolled exfusion/reinfusion of life energy won't make substantially worse.Yes, Exterminatus is only for when things have gone extremely wrong. As they do in 40k.
No, the mountain was animated because the ritual was interrupted and the Lifesurge happened. If it proceeded as it was (un)intended, every single living thing on Teklia would just die, and the supercomputer would presumably become a god.Insofar as I am aware there is no bad situation in 40k that an uncontrolled exfusion/reinfusion of life energy won't make substantially worse.
If we need to crack a planet, we need to crack a planet, not turn a random mountain into a kaiju attack. Just stack a few more stages onto Tsar Bomba and be done with it.
I'm not sure how turning our bomb-computer into a God is supposed to be an improvement. No, the mountain was animated because the ritual was interrupted and the Lifesurge happened.
