[X] Retreat for now
Yeah, these are sentries. Taking them out will probably alert the rest and communication, is, uh, not the best for dealing with something whose specialty is manipulation and deception.

Are there any Abnos that can help with stealth? Some might be useful in the future.

There is no indication that you are spotted yet, the minions are just floating around right now.

Well, time to go back to hiding then:

[x] Hide from them
-[x] once they're past you continue your scouting.

It's better to hide and continue than return right now, we still haven't found what we were searching for, and X does know IC that there was something else around.

Kybey told us that there was something moving towards this city just before NT, but x can also infer that it wasn't The Adult, since Kyubey wouldn't have seen her.

There:
"The Abnormality previously identified by X as a significant threat has recently been spotted moving towards Kamihama City. I will be allocating all my available resources towards tracking it."

At the time, we thought it was NT but learned right after that it couldn't be it. When you combine that with the fact that Kyubey said this:
"It's more accurate to say that information is missing. There has been a complete failure to receive any information regarding Kamihama City, starting about two weeks ago. Due to the nature of the issue, pinpointing an exact time is not possible."

X knows for a fact that the adult's been there too long to be the abno that was detected before NT, and that it cannot be NT since we know where it was, so X knows that there is another abnormality near the city.

Edit:

In fact, due to the fact that Kyubey told it was an abnormality identified as a significant threat, X also knows it's not a weak abnormality and might even be able to infer that it's judgment bird in particular.

She didn't point out many as really dangerous in hearing range of Kyubey but I think she mentioned Apocalypse Bird and how it formed, meaning long bird is on the list.

True. True.

Though I'm a bit iffy on relying on the brightest thing in the room to hide well though. And I'm not talking about Kyoko.

I'm sure the place has something to hide behind somewhere.

Also, I was rereading the updates with the magical girls when I was struck by a thought:

Lepi never did confirm if we got all the pinnacles correctly, now, the descriptions given by the Adult, namely:

If it were the megalomaniacal godling, the paranoid tyrant, or worse that mute freak,

Made us instantly jump on the conclusion that the mute freak was Silent Girl, it makes sense, she's the only Aleph that wasn't really proposed who can be described this way… except Lepi never told that we got it right, and I just thought *Wait, there is another Abnormality we know of that is mute and proved itself very powerful when it wants: One sin and Hundreds of good deeds*

Think about it, One sin has to be on a similar level of power as White Night to destroy it so easily, and it is mute.

I think we never found the last pinnacle because we were searching in the wrong place: it wasn't an ALEPH it was the first ZAYIN you get.

Lepi never did confirm if we got all the pinnacles
The problem with that is, One Sin do pale damage not black.

The only pinnacle position left is black. Which was confirmed as Silent Girl who would fits.

While One Sin himself do...well the guy could prob do all of them, since he's G O D. Which is why we didn't consider him for the initial Pale position in the first place.

Shh, don't ruin my plan to get Lepi to finally confirm who it is once and for all. :V
The four Pinnacle Abnormalities are each representing major players on the City. These being Apocalypse Bird (Red Pinnacle, the Head), Daughter of the Sun and Moon (White Pinnacle, Lobotomy Corporation/The Manager), Silent Girl (Black Pinnacle, Angela), and WhiteNight/One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds (Pale Pinnacle, Carmen/Ayin). Their identities aren't a secret.

My plan worked!

And interesting little tidbit on them each representing a big player and which one, particularly the Silent Girl/Angela, it is good to see our big sister has moved up in the world, sniff, they grow up so fast.

And seems like I was indirectly technically correct on putting One Sin as one of the pinnacles, well, technically correct is the best kind of correct and all that. :V

[x] Hide from them
-[x] once they're past you continue your scouting.

Hoping we can cover the entire perimeter and see any camping abnos if they are there.

You do remember the whole thread spent around 30+ (Probably more tbh) pages of this thread discussing this a while back yes?
We kinda already determined who they were, with the info dropped by the Adult and is confirmed by Lepid themselves saying it was correct back then.

So it's not like Silent Girl is a wild guess.

Though there is now new information in who they represent, it's not big of a difference.

Wait, so WhiteNight and One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds share their pinnacle spot? How does that work? Since I remember Lepi stating that the Pinnacles were the Abnormalities that did the highest amount of their respective damage type, but WhiteNight only deals 40 PALE while One SIn and Hundreds of Good Deeds deals 3330 PALE damage. Does that mean that they arent separate Rival Abnormalities like Little Red Riding Hooded Mercenary and Big and Will be Bad Wolf, but are actually just one Abnormality split into two?

Probably a case of schematics.

While One Sin can do a ridiculous amount of damage, the only time he ever goes out of his way to act is when it comes to Whitenight.

So his position wouldn't really fit. Whitenight on the other hand, actually exclusively do pale damage. And actually, do a lot more than 40 due to his scythe guardian.

And likely even more if he isn't limited by game mechanics as well since he's 'God'.

I think pale damage principle having two Abno represents The contradiction of position of "God" and the fight between two of them.
A God will always have an adversary, a all loving god will be called uncaring, a God who only protects a few will be called biased, but the position of god cannot be hold by both of them because they will disagree on everything.
God cannot be both. So the two fights for the position.
So there will always be a God and there will always be an adversary to fight said god...
The one who wins will become the true god and the one who fails.... Well, the position of the persuading devil is always open.
This is a cycle between two of them. It can never be a singular pale principle, because the two of them constantly cycled through the position.
at one moment, whitenight will be the god that everyone wants to pray to and at the other, the one sin and hundreds of good deed will save everyone from the hell that Whitenight brought forth.
At one moment whitenight was destroyed by his sins... And at the other Moment, The one sin and hundreds of good deed did not bother to pay attention to the plea of a heretic.
Two of them cannot both be god, so the position of god will always cycle between them, either because of negligence, pride, or the power of humans...
But there will always be a god, and there will always be an adversary, ready to topple said god.

    [X] Retreat for now
    [X] Make Contact
-[X] Be prepared for any bullshit. Scout them out with Lamp first.
-[X] If they seem even the slightest suspicious, annihilate them from existence.
-[X] Continue checking out the perimeter afterward but stay on guard and be prepared to run if you need to.
    [x] Preemptive Strike

We're coming up on 100 chapters, so I'd like to do something special. Anyone have any ideas?

Hm...Maybe an Ayin/Carmen What-If?

Or an interaction with other parts of Madoka's lore that you wouldn't get the chance/or would be impossible to do with the current story line?
