Hmm… I'm hesitant to forward a vote here, but maybe we could get in touch with this Clovis fellow? Overlapping memories are pretty interesting, and we've got a limited window before we leave the U.K. Understandable that Sherlock wouldn't go further into what he thinks the repressed memory or trauma was. We need that for the third act flashback, after all.
Great to see you again, Higure. Hope things have been going well.

I think the reasoning to do it later is that while you're right it's worth investigating, it's something we can do back in Mitakihara - if I remember correctly, we actually met Clovis in Japan, not in London.
By the way, I can't remember, do we have a set date to return to Japan, or is it a matter of Homura deciding she got what she wanted from the trip / she can't stay away from Mitakihara any longer ?

Definitely a lot to unpack here. This update came out of nowhere so I wasn't as prepared for it as I was with the last few updates. I did enjoy it overall with Artoria being cute, the heavy conversation between Braids and Koko being some of the highlights. This Emotions energy is something that might need further clarification in the future, as I'm not sure it was properly explained here or if that was just me not being ready for the update.
I would definitely want to hybridize the two schools of magic. That's likely what I was thinking about if I was one of the people who voted to study the various magic tomes in Merlin's study. Similar to how Uncle Iroh used Waterbending philosophy for developing his counter-lightning technique in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Though if we can push through the difficulties of learning a completely foreign magic system to properly use it, then that can only benefit us as well.
This...has me wanting to return back to Japan sooner than later. I find it very unlikely that the girls from Tokyo will not notice that Mami has come to their territory, thus potentially starting a small war. Or a massacre if those girls are unable to equal a small-time Ruler level Magical Girl like Mami.
This has me less worried about when we leave London. It also did me the favor of allowing me to finally remember that Palamedes is Kuroko. She's literally the only one I can think of who would make travel between the two halves of the world anything approaching casual.
I don't have a plan for voting yet. I kinda think we as a player base should come up with some ideas of what we want or think we should investigate immediately and what we can leave to later or even future loops before we do that. Right now, the only goals I have that I know I want to keep in mind are somewhat long term ones. Continue working on our investigation and magical theory skills, continue increasing our social with Sayaka, and look into both Momento Magica and the Arcana Magica as ways to not permanently lose current versions of characters or at least being able to retrieve them to some degree in future loops.
Ok, that does make me reconsider things a little, even if travels are to become easier.
All in all, a lot of interesting things, but I admit I'm most curious about Madoka's texts at the end. I wonder what it's about - and I can only hope it's not an event where we'll realize we really shoumd have been there in this loop. Bookmarking the day just in case.
Anyway, here are my current thoughts. Not quite a plan yet.
[Creative Actions: 1]
[ ] Research a Theoretical Magical Working
-[ ] Try to see if witnessing Lord Camelot gives Homura ideas concerning her own shield [Training Actions: 1]
[ ] Train a Skill
-[ ] Investigation with Sherlock [Sleep Actions: 4]
[ ] Sleep (Gain 20 + Modifiers Sanity)
[ ] Sleep (Gain 20 + Modifiers Sanity)

[ ] Train a Skill
-[ ] Magical Theory
I would have thrown in False Memories in Investigative Actions if not for the locked action. That being said, meeting with another Shielder could open up some interesting venues. The Creative Action is to see if we can get some ideas after watching our Shield-senpai into action - it's a bit of a longshot, but right now I don't have too many ideas -at least not ones that'd involve much higher skill levels.
Keeping on Sherlock training seems obvious, and given how Emrys' book seem to work, Magical Theory is also a must-have - it's possible the book will have other prerequisites later on though.
I honestly have no idea for our Mission Action. Current draft also doesn't include allies and Akemi Madness thrown into the mix. Right now, I'd say... Kyoko for investigating the hidden office (and the social actions?), Kyrie Lux for the research action, and Akemi Madness for magical theory?
and look into both Momento Magica and the Arcana Magica as ways to not permanently lose current versions of characters or at least being able to retrieve them to some degree in future loops.
That could also be the target of our Research Action, but I don't know if we have enough elements to make it work yet. Still definitely something to try sooner rather than later.

I was thinking those more as investigative or mission actions than creative actions. We know next to nothing about them other than that Yuma seems to have sparked some memories of previous loops and Momento Kyouko shares a body with Homura. We can not say if either of these are reliable ways to try and regain previous loop versions of characters or how high or low of a social score we need to be able to reliably get those previous versions back if so.
It depends on if we're looking for a one time permanent boost to our shield's capabilities or something we'll use more situationally and may not want all the time.
I am not far enough into the story of Fate/Grand Order to properly know what it means to be a Beast, but from the Type-Moon wiki it doesn't sound like being one is necessarily a bad thing, either for the entity that became a Beast nor for humanity in general considering the defining characteristic is allegedly a love for humanity. Could you perhaps explain why that's something we'll have to look out for?
Most beasts are very destructive and Chaotic and possibly wipe out everything. They exemplify their ideal completely and while not invulnerable are annoying to defeat. Happy to see this. Sorry for more trauma Kyoko. Huh wonder where the other thieves are and how different the fight with Yaldabaoth went. Good to see Homura developing new tools and Artoria adorable. Nice that Homura describes what she feels for everyone and its unique that she loves Madoka that much but has no attraction to them. Friendship to the purest degree. Liked the Sherlock talk. To think we have another loop at least following. Well, we will likely experience a lot more by then. More ability with melee in time stop would be great. Lastly i am wondering if the witch will even be the last adversary or if we will have to confront something worse after it?
Combined with the comment of being a Beast Candidate... What happens when one completely internalizes their Wish magic? Ours is "locked" inside the incubator, but the combination of hints that we can unlock/open it and this update make me feel like it could be key.
Cause we might be a Beast Candidate, but I'll eat my hat if we aren't also a Grand Servant candidate equivalent.
An idea might be to try and apply one part magic theory and another part clocks and see if we can figure out the incubator. In all honesty its probably a very simple and elegant thing, Kyuuby has been honing it for longer than human history after all. Either that or its design was never updated since it was made, but I assume they made it as efficient as possible.
But in the end, its designed to break. We need to figure out how to open it safely, or break the cage if it can't be.
Once again, it's time to update our last known Skill ranks for everyone! Most of our updates this time come from Kyrie Lux and Kyouko. I'll get into more detail about Kyrie Lux during the battle segment.
We already saw a preview of the Link up with Kyouko, and of the different things that occurred from it, one thing leaps out at me. Kyouko either is not yet a member of the Fifteen Friends, or her status as a Memento Magi is superseding it in some way. This is apparent because she did not get a +20 bonus to Socialize from the Golden Bonds trait we unlocked from reaching Link 3 with Mami prior to coming to London. Otherwise, over the course of the day, there is quite a bit of Social Link growth with Kyouko ending with her at 362/500 towards next Link Up.
A great deal of things happen in this section numbers wise; Notably, we don't actually see Kyrie Lux/Galahad's Melee Skill itself. We just see that has a total bonus of 185 to Parry while her spell is active. That could be boosted by her spell in some way, but I suspect it's mostly a combination of high melee skill and Traits that amplify her Parrying attacks against others (or even potentially herself). This is why I listed her Parry bonus as 185 above, as opposed to her melee skill.
Oh, hi Hifumi. Wasn't exactly expecting a Persona 5 appearance, but fair enough. Hm... Considering her reference to her seniors, I wonder if Joker and co. are still active? Even if they aren't, I suspect that Hifumi has a way to come in contact with them, and Morgana is probably still around and kicking. And probably making sure that someone actually goes to sleep at night.
Training Investigation With Sherlock Holmes said:
Gained 50 Progress towards the "A Missing Memory" Investigation!
Sherlock, as expected, is reading Homura like a book. The extra progress towards A Missing Memory investigation is a nice bonus, and with the 200 bonus from Sherlock Holmes as a teacher, there is something of a gurantee of at least one level from the next training session with him (barring things going wrong).
Desperandum Negata - Prevents the inspiration of negative Emotions (Grief) when using Anima Erebea. Costs 10 Magic/hour, and is not sufficient protection within Witch Barriers.
Emrys' Tome Exhausted until Magical Theory reaches 25
--- Homura Rolled to Train | Magical Theory(19/80) > 84(1d100) + 75 (Emrys Library) + 10 (Love) > (188/80) > Level Up! > (103/85) > Level Up! > (13/90)
While some of the details went over my head, we did get a concrete threshold of when we can get more from Emrys Tome. Considering that we're looking at a Magical Theory DC of 75 for the Heartcrafter Working to fix Homura's heart, it's yet another good incentive for training up on Magical Theory.
Hey, Artoria Caster! I guess that when The King isn't transformed, that's what she looks like. Homura and Kallen's reactions to the adorable King are hilarious. Following up on this be a bit touchy, but I'm sure that Homura can figure something out. Kallen has also been ready for a Social Link up through most of the update.
For Investigative Actions, I think we might want to bring along Kyouko for the meeting with Kyrie Lux/Galahad. We need 150 progress to complete the current stage of it, and Homura's total bonuses on Investigation are currently 41 (31 Investigation Skill, 10 Madness Of Love). Quick breakdown of the numbers, as we know them, for completing the phase:
Required Progress: 150
Homura, w/out Madness: Total Bonus 41 -> 0% chance of completion barring critical success
Homura, w/Kyouko (Request), w/out Madness: Homura Total Bonus 41, Kyouko Total Bonus 10 -> 27.5% chance of success
Homura, w/Kyouko (Cooperation), w/ Madness: Homura Total Bonus 41, Kyouko Total Bonus 10 -> 52.47% chance of success
While the chances of success do go up dramatically if Kyouko is actively coming along on her own instead of just being requested by Homura, the fact is that her presence if she does come makes the chance of completion go from near-naught to something meaningful.
I could see Kallen potentially coming along for the chat to Socialize with King Arthur, or maybe Agravain, but it's going to take time either way.
The social with Kallen is, of course, a guranteed Link up (barring a nat 1 I guess). We'll be looking at anywhere from 27 to 126 progress towards the next Link up from there.
Not sure about bringing along anyone in particular for investigating Arthur's hidden office. Maybe Kallen, if the chat with King Arthur goes well.
I got nothing for Mission Actions either.
One thing that I am considering for the Creative action is something along these lines:
[ ] Research A Theoretical Spell
-[ ] If time is a river that drives a water clock, then stopping time is to dam the entire river. What if you diverted the water flow from one object to another instead?
-[ ] Ambition 5
But that's about my only idea for a Creative Action.
Kyouko either is not yet a member of the Fifteen Friends, or her status as a Memento Magi is superseding it in some way. I forget, can we use use an Investigative Action in place of a Mission Action, similar to how we can choose to social some characters for a Home Action?

Nope. Only Home actions can act like other actions. (Basically, Home Actions are there to help you progress the "route" decided by your current residence, without having to sacrifice more optimal choices.)
[ ] Research A Theoretical Spell
-[ ] If time is a river that drives a water clock, then stopping time is to dam the entire river. What if you diverted the water flow from one object to another instead?

Hmm, I think Clockwork is more the theme than all clocks. Might be a bit of bend for her to use it, if anyone's got any other ideas? Idk, I'm not getting hit with a bolt of inspiration right now like I was earlier.
Creating a Mission Action for this day is hard. It seems we have exhausted most of the obvious and novelty ideas for what we can do in London. We do not want to go thieving, even with King Arthur as one of our allies it is likely to create something of an incident to just go willy-nilly stealing from either the military or the local organized crime, the latter because we run the risk of ruining whatever actions Arthur might be taking to deal with them. We already did souvenir shopping, so do we really want to continue that? I'm thinking just hunting some Witches for excess Grief Seeds to really fill that role.
So...here's an actual plan vote to get us moving a little on this update.
[X] Plan Investigation -[Investigative Actions: 2]
-[X] Akemi Madness (500/500) (Breakthrough Ready!)
-[X] Kyrie Lux (50/200) [Locked In] -[Social Actions: 1]
-[X] Kallen Stadtfield (200/200) -[Home Actions: 2]
-[X] Investigation: King Arthur (59/200)
-[X] Investigation: King Arthur's Hidden Office (0/100) -[Mission Actions: 1]
-[X] Hunt a Witch: with permission from the local Magical Girls [Creative Actions: 1]
-[X] Research a Theoretical Magical Working
--[X] Try to see if witnessing Lord Camelot gives Homura ideas concerning her own shield [Training Actions: 1]
-[X] Train a Skill
--[X] Investigation with Sherlock [Sleep Actions: 4]
-[X] Sleep (Gain 20 + Modifiers Sanity)
-[X] Sleep (Gain 20 + Modifiers Sanity)
-[X] Sleep (Gain 20 + Modifiers Sanity)
-[X] Train a Skill
--[X] Magical Theory
This plan uses Macros' partial vote as a set-up but moves things around and adds in trying to hunt down a Witch, which I think I remember as being a Mission Action in the past and falls into the same sort of maintenance style theme that shopping and "shopping"/thieving are so I think it should be fine. I added a "with permission" due to the fact we are working inside someone else's territory and we do not want to step on anyone's toes by mistake just yet.
I also switched the locations of our Social with Kallen and our investigation of King Arthur. There are two reasons for this. The first is I think it makes more sense to do our Social as an actual Social Action. The second is it's possible that our investigation of Arthur and Arthur's hidden room can be done simultaneously as investigating the room can give us insights into Arthur herself. If Higure wishes to combine the two, this potentially makes it a bit easier on him by having them both in the same category.
From there, just the usual things. We want to do an investigation on Akemi Madness due to being ready for Breakthrough and meeting Kyrie is locked in. Kallen's ready to Link Up, so she's our Social event. I already mentioned why we're using Home Actions to investigate Arthur and why we're using a Mission Action to hunt. The Creative Action is interesting if nothing else, and we want to take full advantage of Sherlock's Professor status for teaching us Investigation while we are able. Sleep to gain some Sanity, but taking a turn to train Magical Theory so we keep upping that with the goal of better chancing of hitting DC rolls for spell and working development and getting to the next step on Emrys' Tome. Finally, no Akemi Madness this update so we can hopefully drain some of that Bloodheat and lessen our hit to Sanity.
Oh, and the title is just referencing just how heavy we're going on the Investigation Actions for this vote.

Basically, the same plan, but adding Kyouko to the mix a couple of times, directly asking not!Mash for help with shielding, and using Akemi Madness on the magical theory training.
