[X] He prioritises securing the shipyards before moving on the planet

Maybe it's greed, but I want to actually build up instead of losing half our (really good) fleet to take out thrice our number in enemies. The lack of industry has been our fatal flaw and I'm really looking forward to overcoming that.

It's not about beating the overlord at diplomacy, its about putting on the best impression for an important foreign head of state. A head of state we personally pissed off. Also he's not waiting on us, Bladus has diplomats aside from us. Unlike the necron studies I wouldn't say we need level 4 diplo I just really want to put our best foot forward when we meet the overlord again and he realises that it's that guy again.
I don't know why but that last bit cracked me up thank you my friend I needed a good laugh today

Even before being told how much they can build i think this is definitely the move to make. As much as I want to do shock and awe this puts us in the position to destroy the shipyards if they manage to repel us.

It looks like the Democratic Federation of Bladus will soon be invading Chronus in order to secure shipyards freedom.

[x] The shock and awe approach.

At first, I thought voting for the shipyard, but then I remembered that we always had bad dice when we tried to be clever.

Let our wives be clever, we're 30K Thrawn with a Legendary Navy skill.

Besides that, to much Ork Metall in the last few days.

Before the vote gets too one-sided, I feel I should let you know that Drake estimates the Chronus shipyards to have at least 100 points of production per turn and likely more, but no more than 150 points per turn. So taking it intact is a really big prize because if you upgrade it to Federal standards, that is half a dozen Glorianas and some other warships each turn.

By comparison, letting parliament expand the Bladus shipyards will be another 15 points in three turns.
do ships cost more points in the Chronus shipyards?

I find it hilarious that it's apparently easier to terraform a planet than it is to build a shipyard.
It is not. The terraforming won't be finished for over a century while a new shipyard takes fifteen years. And the terraforming is only going so quickly this time around due to the planets already being marginally habitable.

No, but that will be an adjustment period where, if you capture them intact, the Chronus shipyards are repaired and brought up to standards of the Federal Navy before you can use them.

Yes yes it would... We need to expand our fleet, I want this would be to be a will be.
Ironically enough during the crusade the imperium only had about 22 gloriana's one for each Primarch and one for Tara (I think) so if we managed to get all the shipyards and focused on gloriana's for just three turns we have more than the golden man . . . and now I just realized at the rate we might be able to crank out gloriana's we could give them out like Christmas presents to the brothers we like/wants on our side

The exact number of Glorianas has never been revealed, the number twenty is commonly assumed because big E built and gifted all known Primarches one each and its assumed the unknown Primarches also got one each as well. Big E wasn't known to have ordered the construction of a Gloriana for any other purpose than as a flagship for a primarch and those were all unique designes so Mars probably doesn't have a full STC blueprint for a standard Gloriana and can only finish one by using up rare tech they cannot manufacture reliably.

Uh well would you look at that learn something new everyday thanks friend though if the cogboys can't really make gloriana's anymore I shudder to imagine what they will do when they realize we can spit out multiple every few years

Eldrad told us they are losing the ability to build them, I'm speculating that Mars doesnt have the STCs needed to manufacture the rarest parts but can make do with very limited stockpiles and replacing some standard parts with special unique DaoT archeotech because big E loved to give out tricked out expensive rides in place of being a father. if it was a mystery cult secrets issue big E would of stepped on that and no Glorianas were ever built after the Heresy but this is speculation and I don't know how Oshha has decided how this works.

You guys do realize that if we keep escalating and pumping out Gloriana class Warships, We will probably have enough of them to give each Primarch 5 each? and that's while absorbing losses of them. Sure our Gloriana are stock versions and the Primarch versions are probably a heck of a lot better than the stop version due to the material that mars uses on them.
