Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Lydia already told her Dad she has a boyfriend.

IIRC in our shoe-vision.

Edit: found it
We don't actually know who all might be our audience right now.

Again, it doesn't seem like super sensitive information, but it's unnecessary oversharing that doesn't really seem to for the situation.

We are still in our Shintai form right?
And we entered Shintai form before Arawn was released.

Arawn is going to be really confused and worried about who Lydia is dating all of a sudden.

[X] Her boyfriend's sister

We're going to get so much xp from this arc lol

About that... I did the accounting and you have 27 XP, while there might be a bit more in dealing with Arawn and Mab depending on how it goes I thought I'd give you guys the number so you can debate what to do with it.

Triumphs
  1. Dealt with Mrs Evans at Church in a diplomatic way 2 XP
  2. Convinced Harry that cyber demons are safe-ish 1 XP
  3. Successfully interrogated Matthews 1 XP (Lower gains because Harry did most of the heavy lifting)
  4. Deflected the attention of the FBI agents and bugged Project Daedalus 2 XP
  5. Provided Mouse with a way to more easily communicate and strengthened his trust in you 1 XP
  6. Befriended a very curious Bob 1 XP
  7. Obtained a alibi for Harry 1 XP
  8. Bugged Katrina without revealing yourself 1 XP
  9. Obtained the aid of Gard and learned something of her personal history 1 XP
  10. Dealt with Katrina's mortal servants without killing any of them 2XP
  11. Discovered Lydia's secret 1 XP
  12. Dealt with the Undertown guardians, ghouls and ghost 2 XP
  13. Introduced Cindy to the notion of having magic safely 1 XP
  14. Found a Dragon's Nest and opened peaceful contact with its guardian 1XP
  15. Saved Lydia from the Corpsetaker 2XP (because you had to find out she was possessed to begin with)
  16. Prevented an ambush outside Harry's apartment 1 XP
  17. Found out about Mab's involvement and her plans 1 XP (this would be a lot more XP if you did not have a cheat sheet on scrying the past)
  18. Passed the wards, magical traps ans FBI Agents 1 XP
  19. Won the Meuseum Battle, defeating Katrina while also keeping Matthews alive and preventing Evil Bob from Escaping with the U-Boat 4 XP
Total (so far) 27 XP

I'd forgotten about dealing with the busybody at church. And wow, that was worth more XP than I was expecting... o_O

Are we sure that woman isn't a disguised Denarian?

Can we please learn sorcery.
The counterspelling thing would let us roll occult+intelligence to dispel any magic.

Its very overpowered and we can easily slap down most non archmage magic users.

The counterspelling is really really strong on an exalted.

Hell infact @DragonParadox i would recommend you nerf them a bit. They would allow us to short circuit most magicans.

I would recommend a essence cost or will power cost to using it.

*drools*

So many interesting things we could buy.

False Springs Beckon costs 9XP and allows us to indefinitely suspend Rosie's mind magic affliction.
This has great story potential. Molly still regrets that greatly.

Sapphire Ritual of Exorcism costs 10XP and allows us to forcibly eject the Fallen out of their hosts. And Nemesis out of any infected too. Like Maeve.
That's something we could trade for Harry's debt if Molly manages to learn it.

2 dots into Awareness for 5XP wouldn't go amiss either. It's boring, but useful.

Same for a level or two of ox-body. 4 wounds per 3XP is nothing to scoff at.

Then there is the Scar-writ Saga Shield, which reduces the soak roll difficulty by 1 for 3XP.

And the Virdian Legend Exoskeleton, which gives us 4-5 (highest of strength, stamina, charisma) to our soak dice for 1 essence for the rest of the scene. (6 XP)

Also since Evil Bob tried to drown us this chapter, Boiling Sea Mastery forever puts a stop to that for 4 XP.

Of course we can't afford all of that.

Hmm, something to consider would be using our crown on the various things left behind by today's battle to continue pulling the thread on the Nazi group.

Evil Bob seems to have escaped (if not with the U-boat), but the remains of the U-boat would likely make a very good focus for tracking him down later.

Katrina's corpse, and the museum itself could also be used to figure out more about the names we have on our list.

Nice.

Do we also have that Michael 3 day trip left to do after this wraps up before we get to do spending or are we separating it out?

[X] Her boyfriend's sister
[x] Use the Crown on the battle to learn the CorpseStalkers true mortal name.

VEE we need it if only to save even more vital AP on fixing the DragonNest. Also Win Lottery and pass the ticket to Molly's best friend, and have her wish to be even richer with VEE. That bumps her up to 6 or 7 dots of money.

Counter-spelling thing?

There is a sorcery counterspelling path, I think.

There also is on page 247 in the exwod book a mention of using crude counterspells, if you have occult of two or more according to an M20 book on it's page 546.

Ah, I thought that meant ancient sorcery, when it comes to the mortal variation, your ability to counter people would be more limited than just throwing your massive int+Occult score at things. In any case you cannot get mortal sorcery right now because Molly had no training in it.

Are we planning to get a prefect defense?
From what I understand it's either going to be really expensive, or have holes and exceptions for where it doesn't work.

30 exp is a lot, but spending most of it on a perfect defense would cut down a lot of other stuff we could buy.

So far, doesn't seems to be really warranted. Just getting Scar-Writ Saga for 3(!) xp would be a sufficient durability upgrade.
I guess. But just this fight we got hit a perfect attack and submarine cannons with big damage dice.

Plus it gives us a bit of safety when dealing with supernatural heavyweights (Like Mab). Sure they could still kill us, but they would have to put effort into it to wear us down, and doing so would risk us using our crown on them to find their most damaging secret or something.

Whereas now they could just try to insta-kill us before we speak it.

I don't think that's a thing in Ex Vs Wod without homebrew.
Thought I saw the counter spell listed, but might be thinking exorcism.

Bloodless Murk Evasion is 9 xp, though doesn't work against Holy attacks, or in direct sunlight. So, relatively cheap, but

Depends on how common perfect attacks are, and how common attacks that do overwhelming damage will be.

Though it has the advantage of not costing essence.

Personally wanting a dot of Awareness, Alertness, and possibly Investigation, just so we can have the ability to roll in more situations, thus gaining more xp.
