Could not find one that worked unfortunately.
Hospitality rules don't work if we or the owner of the house attack her, she would have to strike first.Actually, taking the fight indoors would be to our advantage. After all, if we're within the threshold, Katrina has to follow the terms of hospitality or be forced to leave the vast majority of her magical power outside, while we simply don't care about thresholds and their terms.
I don't know if we can beat a Valkyrie on even terms, but I do know we can beat one when she's stripped of most of her powers.
...That's not even close to being low?We have 8 Essence and 7 WP. Might be best to take it somewhere else. That way we may have a chance to get some recovery in.
Or Matthew can just rescind his invitation, if we get him on-side. As long as she's not invited and within the threshold, she's powerless, but we don't care.Hospitality rules don't work if we or the owner of the house attack her, she would have to strike first.
Recovery how? We have no way to recover Essence or WP without either a good night's sleep or a bleach bath, and the bleach only helps with Essence. Going to another scene so our social Excellencies expire won't give us anything positive on that front. We have 8 Essence and 7 WP. Might be best to take it somewhere else. Pretty sure that's not how it works.Or Matthew can just rescind his invitation, if we get him on-side. As long as she's not invited and within the threshold, she's powerless, but we don't care.
What are the potential witnesses supposed to say?My only problem is doing the fight out in the open. Otherwise, I would vote for fighting right here and right now.
She left the threshold, though? So she'd need a new invitation to get back in? And he has a habit of giving conditional invitations?Pretty sure that's not how it works.
If she crosses the threshold with his permission then she is in, he can't just revoke that.
Yeah, if we fight her, we are going loud regardless, especially if she forces us into our shintai.Wait, I just realized, we just spent 2 Essence on Excellencies, and spent 1 on HMP earlier in the scene. That means the next mote we spend is our 4th, and we go bonfire no matter what. And there's no way we're fighting her without a Melee Excellency.
I don't know how that affects our strategy, but it definitely is something to consider.
You had to go for the Magical Girl thing after I brought it up, huh? Take your rating, I'll vote after I wake up… later today. Ugh.
I mean, technically it's always better to take some damage before escalating to Shintai.[X] To leave? To let a soul repentant fall back into the clutches of monsters, even as a girl is held captive by forces malevolent? "No" You utter to yourself. You have been given power in that same situation. You were rescued. It's time to pay your luck forward. Even as your shoulders slump forward, as if cowed, your will ignites. You tremble, looking like you are scared. You are not. "Katrina Sigfriddotir, in the name of justice, I shall punish you!" you roar, even as the world shatters, and the brass and flame cover your form, your sword already mid-swing, as you close the distance to your enemy, her car, following your command, accelerating towards her. You are not your father, but she is not a Dragon.
Basically, shintai alpha strike. We are taking her down. Now. There is no choice. This is "Charity's old dark wizard acquaintances came back, kidnapped you and are coercing her to sacrifice her life to a Dragon". And we are Michael in this situation. The only choices are how we take her down, here and now, and what tools we use. What better place than here to reveal our shintai to the world?
Nah. The shintai does not heal. So it is actually better to pop the shintai and first.I mean, technically it's always better to take some damage before escalating to Shintai.
Simply to take advantage of the second health track.
Yes, but it doesn't matter that our regular health is damaged during Shintai.Nah. The shintai does not heal. So it is actually better to pop the shintai and first.
You need to copy the vote exactly or it does not work/count in the tally.
Doing shintai first avoids us getting damaged in our regular form.Yes, but it doesn't matter that our regular health is damaged during Shintai.
We can finish the weakened foe and then heal later, once the fight is over.
So it's better to wait until we have landed and taken a hit in our normal form.
I'm not sold on the wider magical girl cosplaying in Yog's vote, hence why I'm not copying the vote wholesale. You need to copy the vote exactly or it does not work/count in the tally.
The magical girl cosplay has a practical role - the use of her true name to at least distract her.I'm not sold on the wider magical girl cosplaying in Yog's vote, hence why I'm not copying the vote wholesale.
If someone has an Alpha Strike write in which doesn't have that stuff I'll vote for that, or if the vote ends up as close, but otherwise I'll accept that my vote might not be counted.
