I won't pretend that I have any real clue about "project vision", but it might be planets of interest in some fashion? There is one blue dot that I assume to be Earth, a number of purple triangles, and in the galactic north a number of green dots. I assume the green dots have something to do with tib? What the sweeping orange lines are supposed to be, I have no clue.

as a reminder, we will have the opportunity to spend a lot of political support in the coming reallocation.

not finishing this set of power plants is entirely reasonable. that said, i will be voting to finish this set.

I see a buncha Nod in allcaps again. Bad habit creeping in.

Good update, lots of neat stuff.

Glad to see the GDI finally starting up some tib power stuff, rip that band-aid off. Now they just need to let it continue for a bit without major problems so they can get more used to the idea. Probably best not to invest more into it for awhile though, till people get that 'yeah tib power's a thing'. But should finish off these plants since, yanno, we got them. And them 'being a weak point for Nod to exploit' doesn't super make sense.

Good also to see that genetic engineering is ongoing. Best thing for the future. Not for creating super monsters but for a healthier populace.

[X] Complete the Plants

We'll inevitably need the power, and while we don't need to spend down the PS we have enough that it's fine to just do the power plants now and still have 107 PS during allocation.

Well, it seems we are getting the beginnings of our own home grown terrorists out of the IF - they are radicalizing and splintering into cells, I guess we can call them "Cerberus beginnings".

Loved the banter on GDI online.

And:
Opening it a bit early due to reasons of Touching Grass and Being Social.

[X] Complete the Plants

Frankly, we need the power, and I want an ability to experiment with it further.

Between the political situation, the potential of a series of new technologies that are currently being researched to completely upend the class, and the limited number of missions that it is planned to undertake, the Navy has slated no more than 18 of the class be built, spread out over the escort carrier yards.
Not having to build dedicated shipyards for the assault ships is pretty nice, if I'm reading this right.

That's absolutely fantastic! No new docks needed!

With that being the case perhaps we should research that other offensive ship. As I recall is was around the size of the shark so maybe that won't need new docks either?

Regardless, that's great news for Karachi. Probably have a few islands ready for it.

[X] Complete the Plants

We can afford the political cost at the moment. Might as well see where this tech tree goes.

Overall a pretty great turn. The nat ones definitely suck but capturing a nod research team and its data is quite a nice thing to balance that out.

[X] Complete the Plants

If we're going to work the kinks out of these things, we're going to need to at least finish this set. Plus I'd really rather not have to spend the dice later, and we always always always need more power. The buffer will help a lot with refitting or replacing failing Fusion Plants too. Political cost is steep, but we're going into relocation, we'll be able to cut deals.

Now, I don't want just brush the political costs under the rug. People are not wrong to be concerned with some of these projects. There is the possibility of danger, and we do have to keep an eye on the mad science, because while it is fun, it should always be done with the people it's going to help in mind. Our people need power, we need to treat long standing medical issues, and we need to understand Tiberium if we're ever to defeat it, let alone master it.

Moving on.

#AlwaysConcerned 'Mad science' it may be, but this is an encouraging step forward with the focus on civilian medical applications. Brotherhood cybernetic practices are too often directed to the military first and foremost – I hadn't voiced it yet, but I was worried that this might be the same. With the technologies in their infancy, time still remains to tell whether this direction remains, but for now I'll be satisfied that the Initiative is continuing to uphold the promises that drew us in, rather than solely focusing on the technologies of war.
Not to worry citizen, we'll only start looking at military applications once we've got something more advanced halfway developed!
Otherwise, the Initiative has been engaging in the ritual bloodletting that is the campaigning towards the new plan.
Right everyone, ready your ceremonial knives.
However, beyond cures there is a whole world of packages possible for upgrading capabilities, including induced lactose tolerance, among others.
Well, we do have that dairy farm plan goal. Might as well make its products as available and consumer friendly as possible for everyone.
The Firestorm is a plasma field, shaped and molded, while the Sparkle shield is two sided, with protection on both ends. Mating together a Firestorm and a Sparkle module significantly decreases the energy needs of the Firestorm system and significantly increases the defensive capacity of the shield. In effect it stresses the shield to the point where it becomes brittle, stopping attacks until it has received sufficient disruption, at which point it 'pops.' With extremely high speed cameras, at between 900,000 and 1,000,000 frames per second, the shield peels apart, like an inflated balloon being punctured. While it can't stop everything, it can reliably take a shot from a Third Tiberium War era Scorpion's primary gun in early testing. However, when the shield is destabilized, it takes a complicated and extended process to reset and reboot the system.
Interesting! This sounds like a path to Halo style plasma shields. Combine that with Buckler Shields and we might be well on the way to closing that technological gap.

There's also what we got out of the nat 100, which is concerning. The Gana are now getting build from the ground up genetically, and this sounds like it could be a nasty one.

Shame that the Viseriod Research didn't pan out for Liquid Tiberium solutions, but better Tiberium Infusions, combined with our new human genetic engineering solutions, should go a long way to increasing the longevity of the Qatarites, along with anyone else suffering severe Tiberium exposure. Not to mention what it could do for the Forgotten. All this just makes me even more excited for the Auto-Docs!

More later if I think of anything worth saying on a reread.
