Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

I'm guessing even the average raith doesn't go past 5 normally right? Since lara is probably the best female raith and somewhere between like 3-6 centuries old compared to others most under a hundred. Not counting head honcho lord raith who is apparently older than mab and maybe nicodemus can't remember I know hes older than mab though. I wonder what an uncrippled lord raith is like.

If you walked around with 6 Appearance you would be a constant low key masquerade breech. No one wants to walk around looking like that in public. Even the most vain of the White Court would admit that the traffic accidents they would cause are more trouble than they are worth.

Hmm, i kinda want to answer with some sort of extreme sarcasm, or maybe faux polite with a dozen deniable insults mixed in, but wouldnt quite know how to phrase it.

[x] Diplomatically (Charisma+Empathy)
-[X] It would be easy to frighten her. To let the chill of hell into your breath, coloring your words and actions. To look and see her most guarded, shameful secret laid bare and use it against her. You do not. Your power has better applications. You are capable of subtler, gentler things. You know that the mightiest weapon of her God is, at its core, love - you have felt it against your blade and soul. It is that knowledge you try to instill in her through your words.

Something like this. God is love, or at least the weapon of God she builds her life around is love. Convince her of that.
I like the idea of being more diplomatic, but this stunt seems sort of out of place. She's insulting Molly's moral fiber based on her TV habits, a lecture on the Arsenal of god isn't a response to what she said.

It needs a hook to actually bring it into relevance for the discussion.

If we had 5 in Perception and Investigation, we could direct our comments a lot better.
Another reason we need to get that upped ASAP!

[X] With subtle threats (Manipulation+Intimidation)
-[x] Molly holds her little sister by her side as the church bell rings, shifting her feet to draw on her full height, and staring Mrs Evans in the eye, smiling like a shark... or a dragon. "Mrs Evans, I'm 'certain' our mother would be as happy to hear your comments as she was the last time." Molly briefly considered bringing up the Lord's comment about not casting the first stone, but remembered her father's explanation of the Third Commandment, so tried a different track. "And I'm certain my father will want to be aware of your comments as well."

The hook is for us, not for her. It is a starting point as to why we shouldn't threaten her. And it is love, and, thus, acceptance, that she needs to be lectured about. She is someone very willing to judge and condemn others. We want to break her out of this habit. She justifies her actions through perceived god's commandments, building her morality around it. Thus, talk to her about how god isn't about that, he's about love. We have strong emotional understanding of this, and our powers / advisor should help to bring it to words.

At least this is how it is for me.

It should be noted that your advisor wants to terrify her. She attacked the Useful One. Who is Useful One you ask.

Usum's guide to the Carpenter Siblings:
Daniel - Naive One
Matthew - Wants to be a Minion
Alicia - Useful One*
Amanda - Unpredictably Noisy One
Hope - Bribeable with Food
Harry - Infant

*Both due to offering suggestions on how to use powers and the Google cheat sheet you got off her

That's an interesting direction to take, but your stunt doesn't really read that way to me; it just cuts off too soon.

The current version reads more like if someone insulted your taste in food and you replied by talking about the importance of getting enough cardio on a daily basis.

There's a place it could connect, but you didn't actually go there.

We are still liberally spending essence and will only do more of that as our pool grows.
Having to use literal cosmic power to not scare the shit out of people somewhat more hardened than civies is not a good use of it.

Edit: We'd run out of essence so fast if we ever need to deal a harry book amount of violence without time in between.

-[] "Has this ever helped?" Molly asked as she put a hand on Leech's shoulder. "If the goal is to convince people of something snide barbs aren't the way to go about it. If the goal is simply to make yourself feel better then you have more important business to deal with than ours."
-[] Taking a deep breath, Molly sighs. "To be honest, you annoy me; but maybe this is a lesson for both of us. 'For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God' specifically."
-[] "How about we both try to judge a little less instead of sniping at each other in front of a church?"

Something like this maybe? I know I screwed up Molly's voice, but no one can say this approach isn't attempting earnest diplomacy.

In my experience people like this don't respond well to earnest engagement; they just want to be petty and feel good about themselves. She'll probably sputter something at us and then leave us alone.

I was hoping for a little more feedback, but it's been long enough now I should probably just go ahead and vote.

yeah was a bit late and the nature of quests is that if you talk a while after a update good chance things will have cooled down and with that less people look at things until qm says something.
