Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] No, not worth the risk... it might make too much sense

Yeah, I guess.

As for how to avoid death...Get some big sponsor to protect us, try to get them to believe we're outside the Laws now, or try to get apprenticed to another, different Wizard.

So...anyone Harry knows other than Ebenezer he could beg for it?

I wonder what would be most advantageous for us, pretending to be bog standard Human with the wizard upgrade and a bit of something extra, or just embracing our Exaltation, acknowledging that we have transcended beyond humanity into something other, something different enough that the Laws no longer apply to us any more than they do to the Fey?

The question then becomes whether or not the Wardens just try to off us anyway, not for being a Warlock but for being a dangerous supernatural being.

If they tried to kill every dangerous and even predatory supernatural being the White Council would be at war with basically the entire setting of the supernatural world. Like seriously. It is hard to overstate just how much the supernatural beings of Dresden files are parasitic predatory monsters.

Pretty much, there's lots of things the White Council would like to destroy, but they're still just one influence of many.

True enough, but there are people on the Council itself and lackies working for them who might take the opportunity to target us solely because Harry will try to speak in our defense and we don't have a large supernatural faction backing us. The Church doesn't really count, and the Knights may not even be allowed to intervene if it came down to it.

Admittedly, that isn't a likely scenario, though it cannot be completely discounted because there are some downright cartoonishly evil wizards among the White Council.

As tempting as it is to say this was all lies and blandishments. She did make a pretty good point and a well constructed one.

Also amusing that she knows we are going to go fight monster no matter what :V

I think we can vaguely trust her intentions here? Though Valk is right. She desperately doesnt want us to use the crown on her to learn... something. Not sure what. Her ultimate loyalty? How to redeem her? Her greatest fear? Love? Regret?

...Honestly trying to keep Harry alive must be exhausting, even for a fallen angel.

Edit:
@Goldfish Then we become strong enough to protect ourselves and those we care for. Whatever form that strength takes.

False Spring Beckons shuts off some kind of negative consequence of a curse, being a monster, black magic (I guess) to provide relief if they obey the Infernal.

What would using it in front of them do? I am missing something.

Yeah, basically, "As long as you work for me, you're exempt from the Shit Stuff involved with being tainted by dark magic or evil spirits" Very useful if it works on Warlocks, because then we can do a whole redemption thing for those who got there because of lack of knowledge rather than actual malice.

So for example could it remove the ability of the fallen to interact with holders of the coins if used on the coins?

That's not a negative consequence, that's a free Mentor 5 background (That your Mentor has an Agenda and is nigh omniscient and thus can always know exactly how to make something sound like a Good Idea is not, technically, corruption)

This is stuff like "You are corrupted by evil magic and now your organs are constantly rotting" stuff, or "You've been infected by the Red Court with bloodthirst but if you ever partake you get shucked out and replaced by a blood bat demon". It's "You don't suffer the effects of Corruption as long as you're working for an Infernal who knows this Charm and used it on you." Mind you, the Corruption doesn't go away, you just get to ignore the bad parts of it, so Warlock Mind Compulsions and the like.

Notably though, it should work on those influenced by The Adversary, because the Outsiders are the very definition of Corruption, which has potentially significant ripple effects. There is quite literally nobody better at opposing the Outsiders than an Infernal with a bone to pick after all, because a great deal of the Infernal toolkit is really, really good at subverting and destroying their favored tactics.

Molly: "Gotta admit, I was surprised to learn that you've got an attractive woman with great fashion sense trapped in the basement of your soul. Kinky!"

You know the more I think of this the more I think she might actually say that, like it is IC. It allows her to flirt while maintaining the plausible deniability of a joke and it lets her talk about the Fallen Angel without weighty words like 'Fallen Angel'.

Of course the first question is is you even want to tell him at all, he might not take it well that your first introduction to the White Council from Lasciel or that you now know more about his early life than any person alive not named Elaine or Ebenezer.

Would Sapphire Unbinding work on Nemesis infection? If I recall correctly it can even evict Fomori stuff, it just deals damage due to the infection/possession being so deep rooted.

Edit: Also, if we get 6EXP total at the end of the Arc, we can get By Rage Recast soon.

Yes and no I'd say.

It would boot Nemesis out if it was Assuming Direct Control, but the passive effects of Nemesis Infection are more on the lines of Corruption, which Sapphire Unbinding is not a great solution for, but False Springs Beckon would work on, and probably bar it from doing the Direct Control thing too.

Remember, booting Nemesis out of someone is very hard, to the point where as far as Mab was concerned, it was only worth doing for her left hand and took much of her time and attention to do so.

You know what would be really cool and thematically appropriate, if we reached essence 10 and during a fight with an outsider we get the charm to become a yozi.

Essence 10 is impossible in ExWoD, hard cap is Essence 5, since this is a higher magic setting than ExWoD, it may be possible to go higher, but the system doesn't support it.
