And it's not like Unions aren't going to be done. We've got a Market Socialist-Socialist-Left Developmentalist coalition that's very much pushing for them anyway. Fluff-wise, it was that same coalition that made sure that the Co-op support was as big as it was.

So they'll be doing the same thing for Unions of their own accord. It's just not the Treasury's job to start the process anymore.

But I liked civilian economy options. :(
I did too. But I also reached a point where the discord was erupting into literal daily arguments about the topic, and every time it got brought up here the thread got heated, leading to a threadlock at one point, and I am not ready to deal with it any more.
It was one of the key things that I had hoped to do in the quest, but, frankly, it was not working, at all.

A question to ask is why did it get so heated?

A question to ask is why did it get so heated?
My belief is that people were applying their real-world experience and ideology to a situation where that experience was not particularly applicable, and so it pretty much turned into a purely ideological discussion. And when people are starting with assumptions of "capitalists are evil", it tends to get heated quickly.

Edit: there was some reasonable discussion about grants, and what level of a private sector would be beneficial, but it frequently got drowned out by the escalation of arguments that were more about ideology, and less about the actual quest.

Bureaucracy 2/2:
-[ ] Security Reviews Tiberium 2 Dice

So I just adjusted my newest plan to the fact that there are only 2 Bureaucracy Die this turn.

So to recap:
-Mecca spam in Infrastructure
-North Boston focus in Heavy Industry
-Robotics Factory and Fertilizer Plants in Light and Chemical Industry
-Yellow Zone Aquaponics and Spider Cotton in Agriculture
-9 Dice on Tiberium Stabilizers and a Security Review in Tiberium
-Finishing of Regolith Harvesting and doing Orbital Cleanup for next turn resources
-Expanding Medical Schools with 3 Dice and doing Domestic Animal Programs
-Finish both Predator Deployment and Phase 1 of Universal Rockets

That's it. Also:

Could also give SCED money :p

Next turn for sure. At least in my plans.

Anyway, we're going to need two different food projects for that part of the Plan. We already set up for the next phase of yellow zone aquaponics, so my suggestion for the other project is to use our newly freed up light industry dice to do Chemical Fertilizer Plants.

+25 PS?! As if the practical concerns weren't already a huge motivation to do this ASAP, it seems as if everybody and their grandmothers are also showing support for this project. It seems that Dr Granger has finally gained the support of the public itself for his continued crusade against Tiberium.
The problem is that tiberium can mutate into who knows what. For the time being it just makes abatement harder, of course... but wait until you get pure-tiberium lifeforms where the tiberium gets up and walks itself to a new location, or spreads wirelessly, or something else absurdly terrible.

Edit: For clarity, I'm saying that it thus makes sense that there is support for stopping mutations.

Okay why do all of the plan concepts that have been put up choose 'spider cotton' over 'Wadmalaw Kudzu' which is a stated high priority?

one is a method to mass produce a superior polymer, many times stronger than a steel string of similar thickness and with a fraction of the weight.

The other one is rated high priority because its a fast growing tea plant and the politicians want coffee.

Wadmalaw Kudzu is consumer goods/PS, spider cotton has military use without using military dice i think the second is needed more now we are swapping free dice from military to stabilizers.

Because that 'high priority' is politicians putting their thumb on the scales because they want coffee.

High priority to politicians isn't the same high priority as airforce needing advanced missiles.

Spider cotton meanwhile opens up capitol goods and stuff like that.

edit: Ninjas!

Because Spider Cotton is implying Capital Goods out of Agriculture, while the Kudzu is more of a PS choice that is high priority because you have bureaucrats across the initiative more or less going "Where is my fucking Caffeine Granger, you damned hack!"

A slight varriation on my original plan, in two slightly different skins. I deleted one free dice on military projects to afford a security review, and save 10 R for next turn. Total resources spent at 630/640 as a result, but I don't want to spend that 10 R cushion for next turn in case orbital cleanup comes out empty. You can pick and choose if you support caffinated beverages over minimal capital goods-if you thought LCI were bad at capital goods, wait until you see the agriculture conversion rate!

@Vehrec I'd be up for a plan that puts 2 dice on the GDIS Pathfinder, (especially since building it doesn't use Fusion dice,) but I don't think it's a good idea to not go all-in with our dice on the Tiberium Stabilizers. And I think it wouldn't be unreasonable to make a plan that does just that.

A fairly generic plan name, for what I expect to be a fairly generic plan. Goes all-in with 9 dice on Tiberium Stabilizers, of course, and continues our heavy investments into Mecca and North Boston. Highlights include working on the Pharmaceutical Synthesis Centers, Developing Spider Cotton, and putting our fifth Military die in the unexciting (but still essential) fifth Governor Shipyard.

Do note, we do not need to immediately build the ASAT system. (NOD can hardly launch an orbital masterstroke without prior preparation.) Given the expense, our limited supply of Fusion dice, and our need to complete projects such as the Predator refit and the URLS in a timely manner, I think it's best to do those next turn, when we'll have more resources (especially from Orbital Cleanup) and more dice flexibility.

Plan variant made on a whim and because Space is a cool place. Switches out Pharmaceutical Synthesis Centers to turn the Orbital Cleanup dice into GDIS Pathfinder dice. Does mean we'll likely have to deactivate a couple dice next turn as well to fit everything in, but also means we'll have our first G-Drive space ship by the end of the Plan.

Edit: Switched to voting for [] Plan Optimal Fusion and Pathfinder, which I recommend you check out before deciding which plan to vote for.
