I just gotta say that I am super pleased to see GG back. I really like the guy and he is fun and forthright in a manner missing from most of LQ's friend group.

I hope he steps up and really gets to stick around! I missed his exuberance since his departure.

Edit: plus as the story points out, GG's presence is good for CRX, and LQ is on good terms with him. The resources CRX has available is substantial already and I think the marginal benefits of adding on another trusted and reliable individual outweigh the possible benefits of more things.

Plus CRX could use a field commander and public face that isn't her to take some workload off. Anyways my boi GG is good thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Sad that Gan will probably not get Sect reputation creds into inner sect from this trip

probably since this expedition is Cai related right?

will the sect be tagging along?

...because this is the second vote that offers a tradeoff between military and social and I have a feeling that we don't want to completely neglect one side or the other.

It's not a sect trip, so he wont' be getting sect rewards, but it is a Cai trip... and Shenhua's approval is basically the most useful resource someone in his position could hope to strive for. CRX's emotional wellbeing (and having contributed to it directly) is pretty much the second most useful resource. There's plenty on the table worth winning for him, really.
