Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
"Just so. It is indeed trivial for any cultivator of the third realm to memorize great reams of information," Meng Dan said, pushing his glasses up. "But the skill of dissecting, discarding and interpreting that information into useful data is another. One which, and I mean no offense, Lady Cai's small court yet lacks in it's retainers."
I'm seeing Meng Dan and Ling Qi working together quite effectively as Renxiang's investigators here. Meng Dan handles the wide information gathering while Ling Qi does more focused investigations as a Roaming Eye. It'll work for the quest where he comes to us with missions rather than us having to do the drudge work since we don't seem to be invested in being a spymistress on our own.

we've had: Zhengui who shared some of her combat roles. (Increase group combat synergy) so i think we should boost the other aspect.

CRX's character development is on of my top three favourite things in Forge and Threads.

The CRX from Forge would have NEVER made what she considers a "selfish" request of her mother. It feels like she is becoming more of an individual with more than one or two single-minded goals every time we see her. Love it.

Everyone! Get on Ling Qi's wild ride!

I kind of wonder if a military exercise would allow us to buff GG more in preparation for the tournament, but the call of adventure is too strong.

I think military cohesion probably still has more material value, but, well, responding to that story segment with "disregard adventure, acquire cultivation currency" feels more than a little tone-deaf. So I'll probably pass on voting here.

One thing I do wished that would have happened in this section was an actual dialogue where Ling Qi gave her impressions. A bare bones "yup they got skills and probably won't screw up" didn't feel very satisfactory on what Ling Qi thought about meeting these two very different people. While we had Qi's internal thoughts on it, having to articulate them out loud to her boss and how Renxiang reacts to both Qi's assessment and HOW Qi assess them would have been something I 'd like to see.

We're all individual powerhouses. This should at the least nip the worst of the drama in the bud. Nobody wants a superpowered hissy fit.
