There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

and pretty good detachment actually, as a result of leading the GAR.
Guess Palpatine was useful for something, even if the war would have split the Jedi order because of the clash between the reality of leading the GAR and their role as peacekeepers.....

How would that internal situation be handled mechanically?

Edit: Theoretically, how did the order change stat-wise through the trilogy?

Depending on how bad it got?

Anywhere from reduced PP/engagement to "holy fuck, schismatics out the ass."

Okay, let's make a working plan for when voting opens. I'm going with Arca Jeth because it seems like we might as well finish him up before moving on, but I'm open to persuasion.

[] Plan Ossus and Armor
-Ossus (12/15) (3 points)
-Armored Warfare (0/10) (10 points)
-Personal Attention (0/20) (1 point)
-Holocron of Arca Jeth (2/3)

Edit: Whoops, should have been Armored Warfare, not Armored Combat.

It would be good to finish Ossus and get Armored Warfare. We should also get Force Combat II soon, since the Sith remnants and other Dark Siders tend to crop up constantly.

Remaining point to either Personal Attention or Masters' Trial, both of those are important. As for Holocron, we should finish Arca Jeth's.

I think from the discussion thus far I think many people here are at an agreement as to what we should choose. So this seems like a good plan for those who want these options. I don't know if that's everyone, but I am going to support this plan because I think Ossus, Armored Combat and Personal Attention are the best choices for right now.

Honestly, while personal attention is good and I want is ASAP... yeah, we're about to kick a hive or two, so yaknow.

Also! If Visas is back, I'm now going to dust off that old recommendation of Atris being padawan to Visas - the thematics work, and Visas does know a few things about being pulled out of the dark by the Exile.

Brianna could also be a valid teacher for Atris.

-Holocron of Arca Jeth (2/3)
-Holocron of Arren Kae
-Holocron of Karn Degarr
-Holocron of Homonix Rectonia
-Holocron of Vodo-Siosk Baas
-Holocron of Nomi Sunrider
-Holocron of Odan-Urr
-Holocron of Sar Agorn
-Holocron of the Unknown Jedi

-
Quick (potentially inaccurate or incomplete, not sponsored by QM) guesses at what would be in these:

Lots of great opportunities (Battle Meditation, Destroy Droid, Sever Force, really, great options)
Pre-turn Kreia, likely Brianna's mother.
Mystery Box
What even?
Oldest Jedi code.
Skilled lightsaber handler, (Force Imbue--make a wooden staff stand up to a lightsaber), Battle Meditation, history of Jedi / Sith / Republic, Sever Force, Force Light
Late to the Force but exceedingly strong in it (started training as an adult but became Grandmaster), Force Light, Sever Force.
Jedi Code Philosopher, Sever Force, long-distance telepathy.
Early Jedi History and interactions with the dark side.
Literally Unknown.

On a different note:

I am taking submissions for states/planets/species/polities to make contact with, and eventually expand into. Just FYI.

(Okay I have a few for the near future but medium term, etc. is still open)

The submission, list, thingy would look like this:

Polity:
Species Name:
Summary:
Primary Species:
Secondary Species (If Applicable):
Biology:
Culture:
Government:
Homeworld:
Colonies:
Territory: (Big, small, position, etc.)
Tech Level: Technology By Decade (EG. 3950s, 3940s, 3930, etc.), Quirks like Biotech
Military:
Force Sensitive: Always/Often/Sometimes/Aberrations/Never

(For those who have participated in both TBG and this, yes this is absolutely basically the same as the AKuz sheet.)

Gonna try my hand at it. Admittedly quite bare-bones
Polity: United Earth
Species Name: Homo Sapians
Summary: Heavily inspired by X-com. Society is very similar to IRL earth with the notable difference being the shadow group known as the council, who spearheaded the X-com project to protect the world against highly advanced invaders. Some guess that it was a lost colony which lost all of the tech long ago.

Primary Species: Humans
Secondary Species (If Applicable):
Biology:
Culture: Very, Very much depends on the group you talk to.
Government: Very splintered, but led by the UN, a bureaucratic group in which all countries have a say, with the biggest influence coming from the council
Homeworld: Earth
Colonies:None
Territory: Just one planet with limited spaceflight
Tech Level: Somewhere around IRL 2019, but with a notable penchant for reverse engineering( likely to get a lot of reverse engineered tech over time)
Military:Strong proponent of the Combined arms doctrine, even with the many different groups, which is supported by exceptional special forces groups.
Force Sensitive: Always(Special note, the potential seems to be hard to tap into without proper tools or assistance, can tap into it for ludicrous feats, but directly using it can be difficult)

Honestly, the feats of X-com operatives gets absurd very quickly, with the best explanation being that they can subconsciously tap into the force.

A note that I probably should have mentioned when I was posting it, but I was hoping for a PM rather than in-thread so it does not end up cluttering up the thread.

Echani Command is my first suggestion, if only because I'm massively biased towards Echani.

Otherwise... hmm, maybe worth trying to make ammends with the Ubese?

[edit]: I'll write it up properly and PM when I'm properly awake.

@Themarineguy - I suspect Voikirium is probably looking for things that fit in Star Wars, not crossover elements. It would also conflict with the known history of humans in the Star Wars setting, who evolved on Coruscant. Introducing a new homeworld with lower tech wouldn't make any sense, and the whole X-Com aliens thing doesn't make any sense in Star Wars either. I'm afraid it's unworkable.

The point on star wars I get, but the others.... I know and expies are not identical either.....
On the other hand by 'submission' is probably very lacking in actual world-building stuff with it's bare-bones nature, so, would not be surprised if it would not really be workable( but not because my submission outright conflicts with the setting. Name, well Earth translates to dirt, and yeah, inspired, but not intended to be perfect clones, though maybe I should have made absolutely clear what I intended).... 🤷‍♂️
