I mean that your explanation of why you can't be nightkilled looks a whole lot like your description of how scum should operate, down to suggesting other people are watching your back, which is a lot more specific than just saying you aren't worried about a nightkill attempt. Also, if it is true, it would make a lot more sense to keep it under your hat, and maybe point your redirect at somebody you think is scum.

All I can really do here is shrug man. I pointed out a flaw in Yun's point about scum being able to just kill me instead of lynch me. Not going to go deeper into it for fear of actually giving out relevant info, probably.
 
Also, on call with a friend atm, probably missing Day's End, and can't really focus on the thread right now.

It doesn't seem like very good reasoning.

I mean you claimed that Yun was scum trying to get you voted out, they said why wouldn't we just nightkill you. The normal answer would be a point about scum wanting to make sure the townkill doesn't land on them and wanting to remove players without concern for protective items and dwarfish toughness. Not so much "you can't because I (and my team maybe) have specific items to become nightkill immune, just like I suggested scum would".

Like the idea that Yun is trying to vote you out because they somehow know you have a posse and your posse have Ferryman's Coins is a real weird place to go.
 
SIgh. I really need to pay attention to the rules of the OP as I apparently thought we got a post after being lynched post, and that isn't the case so... here goes nothing. Cause I really wished I'd double checked on it.

@Nictis Because your statement about the mirror shard combined with your top picks for town including the ancient mirror were a tad odd for someone with first pick, and grabbed the ancient mirror. Now factor in you claim 2 FC being gone when you picked, and well I have to wonder how exactly know all of that information?

Now there are three possibilities that come to mind at a quick thought with the last one being not mutually exclusive with #1/#2.

1) You're scum
2) You're ff trio.
3) You learned it from a mirror shard, and are trying to figure out who has the other end of things.
 
Okay. If anyone wants to counterclaim either first pick or ancient mirror please do so.

@Yun, I think you're reading a bit too much into Nictis' comment about the ancient mirror, particularly because I don't see how even scum would know you had first pick ancient mirror.

This has now changed! I am officially back from hell, er, back to life that is, and caght up to the thread. I haven't had much time to analyze because I more wanted to be caught up before the end of day one, but I'm currently working on fixing that; I just wanted to announce that I'm here if someone has something pressing for my attention, and that I currently plan to pause my analysis 10 mins before EOD to et my vote in so anyone who wants to call me out on it has time to do so.
 
For the record I was planning to use the thing as a message in a bottle if I died night one, and was sorta looking for who to give it to, which I thought could be worked into a day end post upon lynch.

Fundamentally the issue a large part of the problem I've been having with Nictis is whenever we talk about item combinations there are certain ones he wants to avoid, or at least that is how he is coming across from my end of things. This isn't helpful for town as barring a scenario with ff trio... is that not the way we're supposed to work out areas for concern, or just get people to start making connections to see how they tick?

There is a massive hole in that if scum got an earlier FC than town such a protection wouldn't work though. The first FC is actually a pretty convenient pick for scum as it lets them bypass any mystic cage protection, and well unless you've got a pretty confident means of survive the night leaving that seems rather odd.

Like even a 2nd FC shifts things they're still getting a kill barring it swapping someone on scum faction to their night kill target. Scum can also pair it with a mask to find out who has healing items if they're unlucky enough for someone to save them.

So while it isn't 100% certain of a method to kill someone the odds of it not working out aren't particularly high. Furthermore with a scum aligned gnome there is no three use limit on it, which I have no way to determine.

Understood, but that seems like a really odd reply to the question of why they would be interested in targeting you. There are a lot of answers to that question about general scum and town tactics, but instead you said they can't because you might have or be being protected by someone who has a FC.

Maybe you meant to imply that as a reason why scum would be interested in getting any else lynched instead of nightkilling them, but scum want to do that in other games without Ferryman Coins, too.

Also the bit about requiring a fiendish orc to kill you through any other defense, just makes it sound like you're a Demon with an Amulet of Defense and a Ferryman's Coin and got a bit cocky about bragging about your involnerability to someone you suspected was opposing scum. And frankly, you've done things that brazen before. Combined with your insistence that scum would be nightkill proof, I think you're by far the most suspicious right now.

Maybe you're town and just tried for wine in a really weird way, but you're my best guess.

I'd rather not kill Nictis D1 without a strong argument I'm not seeing, and I'm getting towny vibes on Yun atm, so this is probably the best option of the remaining leadingish votes. I don't want to sit on an inactivity vote this close to day end with my battery nearly dead.
 
...Ferry Coin talk...Yanno, it seems to me an easy answer is Nic drew the first Coin, and thus is confident he can pull a self-swap before he gets Splattered everywhere!

Perhaps, but that would mean he has a made a claim in thread that is false, and if he was town aligned shouldn't be doing so as it makes other towns distrust him, which barring him being aware of his having a late pick... is something you need to be aware about.
 
We're headed for a tie and I'm townreading Yun pretty solidly right now, can someone explain to me the argument for voing Zaealix?

??? Nictis never claimed to be an early pick? We have exactly one piece of information from him about his pick position - 2 FC were picked when/after he had the sack. Or he made that up. Either way I'm not seeing what you are trying to argue here.
