Our alpha strike is spread pretty wafer thin here. Potentially wasting one third of it trying to steal a giant shiny that we don't have any clue if we can even move isn't a calculated risk, its just a mistake waiting for a chance to blow up in our face. Stay on mission: Kill them all and let the Elders sort out the warpstone later.

So since CRX is engaging the Shishigui herself, I'm assuming she will have backup? Bc even tho she's badass artillery girl, that won't mean much against a G7. A G7 vs G4 isn't an argument anyone can make here. I wouldnt be surprised if her artillery attack does only a little damage to him, even if he is unaware. We're talking about a G7's domain here.

There's likely a significant degree of synergy in focusing the opener attacks of CRX and Guan Zhi on one target. It's much harder to block 2 enemy techs at once, and where Guan Zhi focuses on damage, CRX also focuses on annihilating defenses.
In a sense the most damage vs high level opponents we can deal in the opener is focusing fire on twelfth. Unfortunately that means the shishigui are left unharmed and unlike the other groups they can leave by going straight down so the perimeter group won't be stopping them if they get away, and putting LQ on stone securing duty alone vs unmolested shishigui is a pretty ballsy move. The g7 could take us (though it'll take time) and definitely knows how to handle the stone better than LQ.

Ruan Shen and she are great at larger scale battles like that as well thanks to buffalo, aoe effects, and doots, plus if we sit on the Starstone the other forces will have to split up to try and dislodge Ling Qi which ups their chances even more

Deleting the Shishigui representatives may produce the largest long term payoffs. A seemingly high ranked diplomat goes missing at a Cloud Tribe summit? Regardless of who offed them, they may not be so eager to reach out for allies again.

I want that rock. I think the first thing to do is to make sure that no one runs off with it and there are two groups that we know have the skills to handle it. First it the shisigui that brought it here, so someone needs to distract them. Secondly is the cyan with a mask made out of the stuff. Now the idea of not aggroing the cyan is nice, but there is no way for that not to happen here. We want the rock and that is a stragetic resource and possibly a religious artifact as well. No way he will let us get away with messing with it. Also, considering we just learned about disrupters and this guy has a mask made of pure disruption makes me think we are about to fight someone designed to hard counter our style. I also think he will be very hard to put down as qi just won't work as well on him. Bad times ahead indeed.
If we just focus on one group the rest will act. Treating this like an xcom breach just means there is enough time for everyone to spool up their buff chains, which will make everything else harder or even impossible. I bet the barbs can easily buff each other. I don't think there is any chance to totally take out any group, the cyan and co are too strong without elder support, the Shisigui probably has hidden gaurds, etc. So the best we can do is cause enough choas and distrupt the enemy to allow our side to spool up buffs. Hopefully with enough resistance we can force them to view this as too expensive and flee. We are hugely outnumbered and outgunned (even assuming reinforments don't come) so killing everyone is probably impossible. I think our win condition here is that people run away. Hopefully it ends with us having the rock and a few stragglers from the cloud barbs. Not sure we want to capture the shisigui.

That's assuming there isnt a Blade Dancer observer nearby pulling the same exact stunt that Ling Qi is, only with a knife instead of artillery

IF there is indeed Dancer/s among the group, then they have to be a good distance away from the Cyan leader to not get spotted, since you know, they could be a form of "negotiation".
