[x] Plan: Preserve and Reconstruct
-[x] Introduce a new Jedi Caretaker of Knowledge (40 PP)
-[x] Request Republic aid to locate Missing Jedi (2/3 Burnt) (60 PP)
-[x] Send a Jedi with a Republic archeological expedition(15 PP)
Total PP spent: 115/115

I'm sad I couldn't quite afford Telos, so instead archaeology - we need a caretaker if we want to do much with and protect what we find, and two possibly living Jedi are far more important than Telos's relics. The Order is the people within it.

Hi! Happened upon this, enjoying it so far.

I was tempted to push for more initiates since Jedi teaching time is a precious resource we shouldn't waste, but I realized that I don't know how much time is passing between turns and how long it will take to train the average initiate to knight level. If it's a long lead time in terms of the quest then other things like finding trained Jedi might be more efficient right now.

Updated everything.

Quarterly, basically. Like, each turn takes a fourth of year (IE Q1 is the beginning of 3950 BBY).

So how long does it take to train someone to the point that they are ready for the Trials? The Jedi of the Clone Wars period seemed to take something like 4 to 8 years to train a padawan to knighthood, but of course those were teens. The canon characters who learned as adults generally seemed to do so much faster for reasons that aren't really explained to my knowledge, (and seem a lot like narrative convenience) despite the Clone Wars Jedi having the benefit of a whole childhood geared around learning how to use the force. (Maybe the emotional maturity and control that comes with adulthood helps? Best justification I can think of, anyway. Asking a teenager to master their feelings is a tall order.)

1. It varies, but I will say I would expect most initiates to have become Jedi Padawans (And capable of contributing on patrol) by at the latest their second year.

2. It's longly been my suspicion that part of that was because part of that training included a more general education that already adult learners would not need.

Ah, padawan stats contribute, good to know.

Your second point is a good one, the Jedi had high educational standards so the equivalent of school and college courses would take up a lot of time.

Yeah, like, most Padawans when that is the paradigm are 12-14, so they basically have to also do middle school and high school too, on top of Jedi training.

Meanwhile for adults it's Jedi 24/7.

Yeah , I think the reason for the difference in training is becuase the jedi of the clone wars period are highly educated and their training is more focused.

The jedi of the past and future didnt have that luxury, they were expected to be more martial due to the threats, and each jedi varied widely in ability. Thus most likely making it harder to focus on certain goals if you had no one specialized or strong at them.

Wherass the clone wars jedi being educated since birth could be warriors, diplomats, negotiators, teachers etc all in one, if with their own preferences and specialities. (See that episode of ashoka teaching a class with kids her own age and giving a lecture you would expect from a college professor).

Also, I edited in all the stats to the Status of the Jedi Order post, including Vitality (I'm sort of surprised nobody mentioned that earlier).

I think appointing a caretaker needs to wait until we have more jedi - all of ours are spoken for, currently. Telos would also be nice, but I think our priority has to be the base and boots on the ground.

[X] Plan: Building Blocks
- [X] Request Republic aid to locate Missing Jedi (0/3 Burnt) (30 PP) *3
- [X] Request Republic aid rebuilding Dantooine. (20 PP)

[x] Request Republic aid to rebuild Dantooine
[x] Request Republic aid to locate Missing Jedi (0/3 Burnt) *3

Edit: are the two training doctrines mutually exclusive? Many students on teacher kinda seems like what was done for younglings whereas the other handles padawans and progress from there.

Sorry if I missed this being answered already
