Don't we need to do archive dive before meridians though?[] Harmony of Dancing Winds, Arts research, (Yu Nuan, Ruan Shen, Sect archive)
Music hangout is neat, but I'm a bit concerned with the proximity to the art dive given we have fairly particular objectives there, and music could be a distraction from them. On the other hand, Harmony is basically "I can't believe it's not Wood" the art, so maybe not so bad.
[] Roaming Moon's Eye (Xuan Shi, Various Nobles, Cai Gathering)
Xuan Shi is cool and I feel bad for him if this is him being pressured into attending High Society by various forces. Poor guy. This might be really good after the Wang Chao hangout, since it's a good opportunity to make another social nod or two to the guy in a setting where he struggles. This type of setting is exactly why we're cultivating Moonless Saboteur's Smile... later. Heh.
[] Phantasmagoria of Lunar Revelry (Bai Meizhen, Sixiang, Silent Stones)
Good friend, good art, good site where only very good and not bad things at all happened. We'll get to see the gift Meizhen received from her girlfriend, most likely. Might even prompt some patented Meizhen Takes on the Bao Qian courtship, which should be entertaining and infuriating in equal measure when players accept her advice completely uncritically. This chunk seems well-suited to a pause and reflect scene, or at least doesn't seem obviously related to any of our current objectives, so I'd rate it as the lowest priority.
[X] Base Cultivation, Meridians (Wang Chao, Liang He, Alingge, Sect Training Ground)
We desperately need to get a grasp on Wang already. I'm voting for it now even though it's Wrong according to Some People.
We only actually need to choose which meridians we open after we pick our art. That doesn't mean we need to open the meridians first. Open meridians -> choose art -> choose meridians is perfectly possible within the realm of IMAGINATION. As with most things, the solution is just bullying @yrsillar.
More seriously, meridians should not be a distorting influence on this vote. Full stop. We already negotiated with yrsillar specifically to have flexibility in regards to the art/meridian situation. We only actually need to choose which meridians we open after we pick our art. Even if we separate the "which meridians" vote for later, this is still a "choose order" vote with all options happening eventually, and I see no good reason to rush the riskiest social mission before mastering our social perception art, practicing with some other, more friendly nobles, or even having some downtime with close friends.More seriously, meridians should not be a distorting influence on this vote. I was joking about bullying, because he's already pre-emptively made the necessary concession on the subject; this would just be reminding him about that prior guarantee.
Having meridians influence the ordering would compromise that agreement, so it's not actually a concern.
I don't care about that, I was addressing specifically the issue of whether meridians should be a major concern in our vote. I say no, because it's unlikely yrsillar intended for that concern, which he's already made guarantees on, influencing our choices here by allowing us to totally undermine ourselves.Even if we separate the "which meridians" vote for later, this is still a "choose order" vote with all options happening eventually, and I see no good reason to rush the riskiest social mission before mastering our social perception art, practicing with some other, more friendly nobles, or even having some downtime with close friends.
