The Morrsley Village Experiment

Also quite frankly I CBA to even read much else anymore since this game is leaving a really sour taste in my mouth. Probably done posting altogether at this point and if I somehow don't get lynched I have requested to replace out after EoD, so I'm basically done here now

Yeah, I'd like to apologize for the way this all has played out.
I saw an inconsistency, and jumped on it. Figured everyone would react with some variety of 'Ah! I see!', even the few scum who didn't. Didn't stop to consider that there might be multiple 'town' factions.

Then it got extended well beyond the initial inconsistency as like half the people in the game made it clear they had no idea what I was talking about.
It worked out, I think, but not by any merit of the play.

Do you have reasons to actively townread them? Would you consider them strong reasons?
Yes, but not good ones. I just tend to somewhat townread people who have really bad arguments made against them that gain traction for reasons that don't exist.

I don't have any particular reason to Townread Cyri, but the way that everyone shifted onto him Day 1 for what was actually no point at all still twigs at my suspicions, despite it all.
Okay, so dives on @Cyricubed and @-Rosen. Please feel free to clarify anything I've missed or misexplained here.
Remind me to read these later. About to go to sleep, and not in the space to process that.

Because while there were good reasons to oppose the Cyricubed lynch, those reasons don't really apply to scum. Being consistently defended by scum isn't totally damning but it doesn't look great.

Could have been easily pocketing on -Rosen's part, I admit to Townreading them through most of yesterday.

I'm sorry, it's kind of late and my brain ain't great, can you try to rephrase that?
I'm having trouble figuring out how to parse this sentence.

Basically it's unlikely that a Scum Redirector pointed Shadell elsewhere simply because they in fact got a ping on a killing role and then -Rosen claimed being kill capable. A Scum Redirector would likely either point someone back at themselves to muddle investigative roles, or against another townie they aren't targeting that night to muddle protective and utility roles. Shadell who was the only claimed power role not only didn't get attacked, but didn't get redirected seemingly. Meanwhile we also factor in that Fish was the N1 Kill target which...is a strange pick honestly. I'm rather surprised fish was the target for tonight. Anyone got some theories on that?

Failing that @InterstellarHobo This goes against my standard mode of operation however if we don't hear anything regarding a town transporter I think it might be in interest to drop the name of who you saw visit Shadell and they in turn can confirm as truth or false. I want to be certain you've got -Rosen in a lie mechanically rather than wiggle away on suspected mights.
This is an incredibly scummy idea.

Shadell wasn't killed or roleblocked, meaning whatever role visited them was either protective or investigative.

If @InterstellarHobo is telling the truth, and the visitor was town, you've outed a town power role in addition to Shadell for no further information.

If IH is telling the truth and the visitor was a scum investigative role, they will lie, providing cover to their scumbuddy and putting suspicion on townies.

If IH is lying, they can simply refuse to answer for the reasons town!IH would have not to answer, or get a scum buddy to claim to have visited.

This play would only generate new information for scum.

Alright let me break it down a bit what I intended with this and why some of those can't work.

1- It's possible but it could also be something different.
2-IH could have seen fish visit by chance in which case nothing is gained or lost. Now in the case that it's town there is actually a variety of different roles that can visit, I admit first thought is doctor or Cop but in the case that IH is telling the truth and visitor is town, that means we have a way to keep said individual watched for at least a full night as we don't seem to have any RB'd claims yet and it confirms that IH's claim is truth and that -Rosen's claim is more suspect.
3- If IH is telling the truth and the vistor was scum and lied, that means we have 2 scum in the open for us starting the next day phase, scum can't afford that with 1 crossfire already seemingly(Ah the curse of SV...scum crossfire)
4- town!IH has no reason to refuse to answer for these reasons of accurately catching scum. And in terms of having a scum buddy claim to have visited well same above, 2 scum linked completely.

I'm confidant IH is telling the truth, so in reality this generates more info for town than scum, and the only times that people lie other than -Rosen in this situation results in scum linking themselves too hard to each other to warrant the value.

If you are confident IH is telling the truth, you are outing town power roles for no reason.

And I totally forgot scum!IH could just lie about Fish having visited. So the minimal value this might provide in tying another scum to the lie.

You are suggesting there is no downside to revealing a town power role because we have a watcher. Not only does this presume scum doesn't have a ninja kill, it also gives scum the option of killing a known town power role, killing our watcher, or killing any other townie with assurance they aren't being watched.

Not to mention it ties down our watcher from here out.

This is a scummy plan.

Oh, and we do have someone who claimed to have been roleblocked, so that makes this plan even scummier.

Oh, and we do have someone who claimed to have been roleblocked, so that makes this plan even scummier.

We do? Who?

And to that point I rescind my request for IH to reveal the visitor under that case. I would still appreciate a town Misdirection claiming if they misdirected -Rosen or IH to clear up any obvious to them reasons why the claims are conflicting.

Ah, I almost forgot to mention this, but this made me remember what I wanted to post earlier.

I don't know for certain whether it was one of the Independent Variable scumgroup or a fellow Test Subject who did this, but I was roleblocked last night.

So, that means that whatever IH saw is likely to be true and accurate, unless they are blatantly lying (which i don't believe is the case).
@Cyricubed right here.

@Cyricubed right here.

How the [Redacted] [Redacted] [Redacted] did I miss that?

Okay then yeah those plans are completely invalid if that RB is scum and I'm not going to ask a town RB to out themselves as that is arguably an amazing role as the game gets smaller and not one to put in jeopardy. But why block Narcotic? Hm...we can assume unless Narcotic is Strongman or lying about the RB that he isn't the one who killed Tykan. I'm gonna look back on my break to see who quickly followed Rosen on the Shadell lynch yesterday or anyone that they rather ignored overall.

Alright, so I guess I'm going to make my reveal here then...

I am the Control Group Roleblocker. I'm currently thinking about putting Rosen on lockdown, because in the last game that IJW ran (Frontier Mafia) the mafia would pass down their kill capability on death, meaning that only one member was ever actually kill capable.

Not sure if that's how it works here, but if so then we can use the added time to hunt out his allies before lynching Rosen.

Also: Narcotic was not a killer last night.

What are people's thoughts on Hybrid, Narcotic, and Raptorus?

I'm a bit inclined to scumread Hybrid over the way they voted yesterday. Not much on the other two.

Would you mind sharing the control group wincon? As it is, you're basically claiming you win no matter what.

If it's about the change, I thought I had a minute or so left when I first voted. I changed my vote after actually reading through the pages I had missed. Sadly I voted wrong and we lost a town

I've said this so many times now.

I win when the killing stops. It heavily implies there are multiple sources of kills. This is paraphrasing. I do not know if I need to be alive or not to win.
If Rosen is an Independent Variable, I can stop a set of night kills by keeping him alive until we remove his support. If he is the pink killer, we can just lynch him tomorrow when we see that pink doesn't kill and I can go back to finding killers. If we kill Rosen now and he's an Independent Variable then they'll be able to continue killing people until we either find or lynch the last one. Regardless of which scum he is, I can prevent him from killing anyone tonight.

Also...
Woowee finally caught up! Looks like there are some killers creeping about. If we all assumed it was just one faction that would have been bad.
Does this feel familiar to anyone?
If you're referring to our dead Test Subject Tracker then...oh dear. Someone among us may not be telling the truth about their role.
I was talking about in general.
And this looks like the Tracker being a sign that someone lied, but that Chop doesn't direct it makes it suspect to me.

I don't think Chop is a Test Subject.

Weird, did not get a notification about this. Anyway I did not direct it because I didn't have any good reads at the time plus I didn't want to cause any confrontations as I did with ondine.

Just went on break, so good timing.

ItzNarcotic and because he just kinda came in with some helpful stuff that wasn't actually of much substance. Barely any posts and mostly just brought together the claims to my memory.

*Temporarily suppresses major paranoia*

I'd like to say other then -Rosen my thought process is seeing hybrid as sus. Overall my read is non-existant on them for an overall lack of content. There are posts yes but barely any opinions in them.

[X] Lynch Hybrid

Copy that along with somewhat sheeplike votes on me an Shadell and I'm scum reading them
