The Morrsley Village Experiment

Day 4 Start
Once again, Professor Cliff starts the day with an announcement. He says through the viewscreen "Good morning Test Subjects. One more of your number ins momentarily among the deceased; to be more specific, ItzNarcotic was Shot In The Chest last night. They were the Test Subject Vigilante. End transmission."

Night 4 starts at

Damn, that was the worst possible person for the scum to kill. I mean worst for us, best for them.

I figured that I would visit you and you could watch me, that way either they waste their kill, or you see who killed me and have absolute confirmation of who the last scum is.

I hoped as a townie who had no remaining power role, Itz wouldn't be that tempting of a target.

@Nictis who did you roleblock?

Because this doesn't look like a strongman kill.

I need to go to bed. I have to be up at 4:30 in the AM tomorrow.

See you in the morning.

Well I blocked Chop and now I've officially got no clue how the hell the scum team works.

Gunner, Backup, gun kill continues and fiery death occurred. Blagh.

I'm gonna go play a game for a bit, I'll be back on tomorrow before work, probably.

[x] Lynch OneStopChopShop

Nictis, can you summarize your reasons why you think OneStop is scum?
It's down to either Chop or Raptor, and at this point it's either that Stop can bypass my roleblock somehow, or it's Raptor. If it's Chop, then lynching Raptor will still let them kill tonight, but if it's Raptor then lynching Chop will let me block them instead.

Either way we should be good, but I'm more suspicious of Chop for the previously listed reasoning than I am of Raptor. So... Chop first I feel.

Chatting with friends atm, not in a good point to go gather reasonings.

With all of your reads and how hard you're going in on me, you may be the scum we've been looking for all this time.

Chop, you repeated the issue that we had between Shadell, Hobo, and ondine Day 1 on Day 2. You also just generally seemed to be missing the relevant details for most of Day 1.

At this point I'm saying it's down to you two because you're the only real options left. I know what I am, Hobo and Meso are both nigh-confirmed, but you and Raptor claimed late and don't really have much to look at to tell one way or the other. The only reason you're more suspect than Raptor is at the moment is because of the comments me and meso found that you made Day 1 that made it look like you didn't get a Town rolecard.

I hate how this game is revolving around that.

Anyways, can we speed this along? I would really rather get to the next game.

@InterstellarHobo and whoever else is town. I think we need to decide if we can win with @Nictis still alive or not, and if his winning will end the game. Because this is our last chance to choose to lynch Nictis. Whoever else we go after might end the game.

@I just write has so far refused to confirm if the game ends as soon as somebody's win condition is met, so I think we should assume it will.

Also, I am troubled by Nictis voting for @OneStopChopShop and trying to rush the vote when his claimed roleblock failed to stop the kill.

We had a protracted argument that hinged on certainty that the killer could be roleblocked. The previous night kill could be waved away as a strongman kill. This one can't.

Sorry, I just don't know what else to do. For all I know you could be the main scum running this show.

So I had some thoughts last Night. I'm pretty sure I know how the setup is supposed to work.

We've got Test Subjects, Independant Variables, and a Yandere- three of the classic four elements of experiments. This indicates, but does not confirm, the existence of a Control Group.

However, let's look at the wincons.
IV probably has a classic scum wincon, but details don't matter. What's relevant is they all seem to have killing roles.
Test Subjects want everyone else dead.
Yandere, very plausibly, wants ItzNarcotic to stay alive. Yandere probably wins when nobody other than their obsession is alive; this fits theme and gives an actual game end condition. Killing IVs is their top priority.
Control Group, supposedly, wants the killing to stop. Killing IVs is their top priority.

Now, this all makes the existence of Control Group much more plausible.
We have Test Subjects want people dead, we have Yandere wants a town killing role specifically to stay alive, and we have Control Group who wants that exact town role dead. There is some compelling symmetry here- it sets up a scenario where Town is aligned with Yandere, mostly, and Town is aligned with Control Group, mostly, but Yandere and Control Group are explicitly enemies.

That said, the existence of Control Group does not mean Nictis is Control Group, and Nictis has been coming off as rather Scummy. I am increasingly skeptical of their claim.

@OneStopChopShop , @RaptorusMaximus , if either of you is Control Group, claiming now will assure the win.

Nictis promised Shadell would live if he were permitted to roleblock -Rosen. That's a promise only scum could make with certainty at that point. Our only confirmed Roleblock was ItzNarcotic, who mentioned the RB before Nictis announced their target. @OneStopChopShop has been the target for the last two nights, but kills have gone on uninterrupted.

if anybody has received a notice that they are being roleblocked (or tied up or whatever) it would be a good time to say so.

IJW is not answering that because...
-All information I provide will be accurate and true. However, I will not provide any information that is not outright required by either your role abilities or the smooth running of the game.
But has made that issue quite clear with the later post of...
 I didn't think I would need to answer this question, but yes I will tell you if you achieve your win condition. Shows what I get for previously hyping this game up as Bastard before toning it down.
Not to mention that the last game quite explicitly said that the game would end as soon as anyone met their win condition, but in this game that is not stated.

As for the certainty of roleblocking stopping the kill... Mate, it's worked that way in, to the best of my recall, every other game I've played in. And I'm sorry that I'm trying to get this game over with, considering that it's already solved and has been nothing but numbers since Day 2. I haven't been having fun, and I've been putting in the effort to win this out of principle. I'd rather we get this over with so I can go play a better game.

That said, the existence of Control Group does not mean Nictis is Control Group, and Nictis has been coming off as rather Scummy. I am increasingly skeptical of their claim.

Literally claimed this Day 1, and all my actions are known and confirmed. But now is the time to doubt.

Sure. If anyone wants to try to counter claim me now, like Hybrid tried to do, feel free.

... First off, I guaranteed that one of Shadell or Hobo would survive. I was betting on it being Shadell because killing Shadell before Hobo is a nigh-guaranteed death sentence that they only got away with because Hobo tried to gamble on wine instead of guaranteeing that the noose slipped tighter by making sure that Shadell either gunsmithed someone or that whoever killed them got caught.

It's not like I made it the obvious course of action for those two or anything...

And Chop already confirmed that I blocked them yesterday.
I never got a notification that I was being roleblocked.
After that night @Nictis said he roleblocked me and I believed him. That's it.
Then why did you... Agh.

If you flip as Town, I'm going to be really annoyed with either you or IJW. You for confirming something you didn't see (Or lying about it now), or IJW for deciding that Vanillas don't get notified of roleblock.

I don't care much as to which one of the two we lynch, it's either ChopShop having some way to bypass my roleblock, which will be really annoying, Raptor having just generally slid under the radar, or meso pulling one hell of a long play. I don't think it's meso and am only really contemplating it since Shadell died visiting him, so we need to lynch one of those two.

So. Can we hurry it up please? I'd honestly rather be doing something else.

Preview Edit: Alright, recognized basic issue. It's not meso because if he was a Vet then both Shadell and Hobo would have died. Unless if it works like in Magical Mafia which... I wouldn't be surprised by at this point.
