turns out disney is a megacorp and when it does things things happen.

No matter what we do, we should speak with an imagineer about the letter. They are some of the best engineers in the nation, so they can relate to the people at NASA. Getting their perspective should help us assess difference options.

YES!!!! So much this. Strike the top, strike the bottom, strike the strike, contact the people who actually know jack and shit about this.

Contact the president, contact the workers, contact the imagineers. We're not a space corp and can't do space corp but we have levers other than nothing and trying to be a space corp.

Nasa is pushing it as the one and only solution for everything you want to launch into space. It is supposed to become cheap, regular transportation to space, and every other space program or dream is build upon it. Space Station Freedom is designed for the shuttle. The Hubble Space Telescope was made for the shuttle. The Shuttle has a lot riding on it, and it simply can not fulfill that promise.

It's going to be very hard to maintain an image of a compagny of the future, while simultaneously trying to kill the symbol of the future of spaceflight.

Plus, we would most likely end up in conflict with Roy and his drive to mantain Walt's legacy.

fortuitous, there is an impetus to pull the meeting through and us being the source of his problems means there's things he wants from us.

The person will only have a chance of getting involved if they overhear a meeting about the subject ongoing, which will have a chance of happening if you take the option next turn. Otherwise, expect no changes or a worsening situation at NASA.

Why don't we call up Carl Sagan and Christa McAuliffe (who all of America's kids just saw get launched into space) and get a group privately, and then spring both of them on Reagan. As a result we stay out of it, and are merely just the facilitator of the connections to get things going
 
To, a thing y'all gotta remember is that Ronnie wasn't a dumbass. I feel like he's smart enough to get it if projects need to take longer so as not to critfail and lead to the death of Americans and the shattering of national confidence. The issue is getting it to him how utterly serious it is. Like, 99% sure he's smart enough to understand that pride won't keep spaceships intact.

This is an even better way to get it to him than doing it just by ourselves though if possible I'd hope to get some engineers willing to burn for this(which is entirely necessary to get them to do this) to join them.

You knocked down the first domino, essentially. History books will say "this recession started when Exxon withdrew from a partnership with Disney, which was enjoying record setting popularity at the time, over a new interest in solar power."

EDIT: Also, you didn't just make Exxon look bad, you made the scientists Exxon was silencing come out and say "Gas and oil are killing the planet" when the top two Fortune 500 companies are a car company and a gas company.

On the other hand, the oil price collapse is probably hurting the Soviets something fierce, so that's an excuse we can use for Reagan.

Nah, if it goes right we wanna headline. We just wanna keep it so that if it goes wrong we can avoid mention.

Like, we want to avoid a headline that says "dumbass disney duck dicks around above his aygrade in NASA business" but nothing is better than "DISNEY SAVES SPACE: A MAGICAL TALE" accompanying a front page story about how the WDC in all it's goodness and hope just had to save lives and bring us into the future as they had before.

Like, it's an insulating layer against bad PR but a connection that if it works out we can use for good PR.

Looks like we are quite on target to hit our board goals. We need to work on the second ride at Future World (Wonders of Life), we might want to consider starting work on Hotel 3 too next quarter, just so we can get all 3 to groundbreaking and a bit beyond. Remember We need about 1000 more rooms, so two mediums or a large and a small. We should have actions for other things. We should really consider doing some Disney Channel stuff too or other media acquistions
